this is a test
i was hesitant to commit to paying $50 up-front to have them assess the situation when they wouldn't give me an approximate estimate over the phone, or even an indication of their hourly rate. my instinct on this was right.i needed a leaky pipe fixed under the kitchen counter - the quote, for which i paid a $50 home visit fee - was over $1,300. when i asked how long they thought the work (removing the pvc trap and installing a new one) would take, i was told "at least an hour". so, for those of you counting at home - the going rate at this place (give or take the $20-$30 in supplies that were included in the price) is over $1,000 per hour for plumbing services. plus another $50 to let you know that in person.*update* in response to the response: the job quoted was *not* for 3 things. i did ask a question about an outdoor tap (which the plumber answered). no work was/is required.the $1,300 quote was for replacing the trap and sink baskets (the pipe was leaking) under the sink and to fix a toilet that was hard to flush - it also included two upsell scenarios in which the plumber tried to get me to buy an entirely new toilet. after getting the quote, i asked for a price for only the sink fix and was told the price would be the same - $1,300. again, i asked him how long he thought the repair would take and he said "at least an hour". i asked him if his hourly rate was *really* over $1,000 an hour and he began to tell me about the training that goes into being a licensed plumber. it was a friendly talk the entire time (he was very courteous). i told him i would think about it, and left it at that.i suppose the only real response i have is this: i called another company to come in, which they did for free (see my other review), and my sink was fixed for $250. as for the toilet: did i need a new toilet? no. did i need to have the inner parts replaced? no. the other guy just looked in, bent the wire coming off the handle, and it now works perfectly. no charge.
excellent service. i will recommend trevor. he has a nice blend of technical know-how and good customer service.i will continue to use their services for all my plumbing needs.
i called priority plumbing because my bathroom faucet was leaking and old. jennifer was very proffesional while booking the call which was a huge difference from the company i called a few minutes earlier who put me on hold for 15 minutes and then got upset with me when i asked if they could narrow down the arival time.steven came by and wow, what a suprise. he was extremely courteous and rolled out the red carpet so he wouldn't dirty my house. he wore shoe covers and was very professional. he was very knowledgable about the products and took the time to ask me questions about what i wanted before reccomending a replacement model.what a refreshing experience to have a contractor come to my home and provide that level of service. i've had terrible experiences in the past with others who damaged my property, were unknowledgable and inconsiderate. ya i could have gotten a cheaper price if i shopped around but who knows who would have showed up, how they would have treated my home, and what type of job they would have done?as for me, i'm sticking with priority plumbing and would highly reccomend them to anyone and everyone. good work guys.
i needed a plumber because my main drain line was backed up. i called priority plumbing and they came out to inspect the drain line. greg the technician figured out the problem and got everything taken care of within a reasonable amount of time. i would definitely hire priority plumbing again.
austin was very courteous, showed up on time, provided me with a variety of options, i did not feel pressured by any hard sell techniques, and answered all of my questions and addressed all my concerns. i would definitely use them again.
response time was prompt. service person was polite and informative. work was completed to our satisfaction, stoped the rapid leak. cost was in my opinion quite high for 45 minutes of work. certainly not the cheepest company in town but efficent.
first time calling priority plumbing when no amount of plunging/dangerous chemicals could unclog our toilette. matt w was super professional yet personable. he laid out all my options and their respective costs, explaining to me what each procedure was. the price point may be a little steep ( especially if you're a student like me) but there are no surprises, and you're paying for quality service. he even cleaned the area despite my lack of a toilette brush. overall, if you need a job done and done well, these are the guys and gals to call.
i needed a new gas line installed at my house so i could have a gas fire pit outside. i search for a gas line installation company and found priority plumbing. kostis came to my house and took a look at what i wanted. it was an unusual job so he needed to get a few parts. when he came back he got the job done and didn't complain. i am very happy.
my toilet was leaking, causing damage to condo unit below mine. plumber came with in an hour and 15 min to re-install my toilet properly, and took the added step of gaining access to the unit below to make sure the water damage had stopped to the unit below. traveled between our two units many times just to be sure. dealt with building management to gain access for me. very good guy, protected my floor with carpet and wore booties.
i find priority plumbing to be very good at explaining the services that they will do work on. they under their maintenance plan do a thorough review and provide details that allow the customer to make an educated decision on what needs to be done.
backed up portion of the main drain in the house. had to replace part of pipe due to tree roots. priority plumbing responded quickly and was able to quickly assess the problem and propose several (cost) options. they were knowledgeable and did the work quickly. cost was outrageous (in my opinion) considering it was 20$ worth of pvc pipe and $3 worth of cement, but it is what it is. problem is solved and basement is dry. the joys of home ownership.i would definitely recommend them to someone else.
greg from priority plumbing hooked me up. my kitchen sink drain was blocked really bad, really greasy pipes, no off the shelf products or snaking tools could get through it. they hooked up some pressure system and pulled out all the junk from the pipes, including some rock-like grease build up, it is as good as new now. they also cut off the existing pipe and put an attachment on so that we can get to it easier in the future. also, identified the tube coming from my dishwasher was not properly secured so they attached it up higher to make sure that if the sink backs up again, the water does not flow into the dishwasher causing a spill over. very nice guys! really appreciate fixing it quickly and providing some preventative tips!
Adam T. was very pleasant and professional throughout the 6 hours of work. His workmanship was excellent and he left no mess. He exercised his experience to troubleshoot the best solutions and did a great job at including our opinions when necessary. We would call him any time. Priority Plumbing facilitated his great work by providing an exceptionally well-stocked truck so there were no delays to get parts or necessary equipment.
i called priority plumbing yesterday because i got fed up with the low water pressure in my home. mike arrived on time and was very knowledgeable and professional about the situation. mike went over all of my options with me and i chose to upgrade the water service to a larger pipe, since i had old pipes, and the city line had been upgraded recently. they were very careful, professional i now have great water pressure. i would recommend mike and priority plumbing to anyone who wants things done right the first time around.
A huge thank you to Greg and Adam for a job well done! They arrived on time, were friendly, professional, courteous and fun! I would hire them again in a heartbeat! Also, a shout-out to Felicity in Customer Service for arranging the appointment. It was a painless experience from start to finish. Our floor drain's unclogged and we can do laundry again! Yay! And... lesson learned... from now on, we will use better-quality dish detergent and never pour grease down the kitchen sink again! You guys rock!
i called priority plumbing yesterday because i finally got fed up with the dripping faucet in my bathroom. steven arrived on time and was very polite and professional the whole time. he recommended that i change the faucet as it was an old faucet and would cost more than it was worth. i even managed to upgrade it so that the faucet finally matches the rest of the bathroom. he had the fixture in his truck and the ordeal was quick and painless. i would definitely recommend priority to anyone who needs a plumber.
from my initial phone call, which was promptly received by a friendly and courteous young lady i was dealt with in a very professional and capable manner. it was made clear to me from the outset that my customer satisfaction was priority and they did not disappoint. i was given a 3 hour window and kosti telephoned me with a 30 minute arrival notification. he arrived promptly, inspected the problem, gave me an overview of the issue and 2 or 3 options with pricing before he commenced the work. when we agreed on an approach, he completed the work quickly, efficiently, and then cleaned up the area. i was very pleased with the service we received and recognized that this company puts a lot of emphasis into training their employees in proper customer service. i would not hesitate to recommend priority plumbing to others or to call them again.
i was told when i called priority that i wouldn't be charged for the visit if my problem couldn't be fixed. the issue was a tub leak and the piping was behind tile with the vent to the side. i could reach the faucet by snaking my hand through the hole, but with no plumbing expertise, i couldn't deal with the problem myself but figured a trained plumber could. the plumber who arrived was polite and informed me that he couldn't fix the problem without breaking the tile. o.k., so how much to break the tile? he pulls out the book of big numbers and points to the cost - i could have dropped dead on the spot. over $600 before taxes to break the tile (and not even cutting a neat even hole - he advised i would have to hire someone else if i wanted that). i didn't go ahead with the work and was charged $50 for the pleasure. i guess technically, he may have been able to do the work, but i would have had to pay more than $600 to find that out.i notice from priority's responses to the reviews that the focus seems to be on the fact that they do a good job and their plumbers are not criminals. which kind of implies that the plumbing business is rife with murderers doing terrible jobs. give me a break. the crime is the prices being charged by priority. i am writing this review today because i decided to try opening up the tile myself. guess what? it took me 10 minutes max with a chipping hammer (and i am a mom with zero experience at this).priority called today asking if they could come back and fix the leak. if they charge over $600 for 10 minutes of work a monkey could do, i shudder to think of what would be charged for the actual skilled part of the work.if we can't fix the leak ourselves, i have no doubt that i will be able to find a plumber without a criminal record who will do a great job and not rob me blind (i'll get a referral this time).
priority plumbing was a no show once (they say they called but they didn't) and then called 15 minutes prior to the end of the arrival timeframe for their second scheduled date and told us they wouldn't be able to make it. they eventually showed up on their third call and fixed the problem (but had to come back a fourth time to do the repair). plumber who showed up was very nice and professional. support staff were unhelpful and borderline rude. i will not use them again, we only agreed to a third call because we were in a bind.
i had purchased 2 new toilets and as my regular choice of companies, i hired priority plumbing to install them. greg did a fantastic job installing them, he made sure they were 100% solid and level. he hauled away the old ones and cleaned up the mess. he was extremely pleasant to deal with. priority is a good company to deal with. what more can i say, i will continue to use priority plumbing.
it was a sunday and i had reason to believe my toilet would overflow. i did not think it was clogged, but needed help. i waited for less than half an hour and tony was very helpful. i love the respect priority has for one's home ie, the booties and the front hallway carpet.tony was very thorough and took time to make sure all was well with the fixtures and connections and then knew the toilet was clogged.i was able to use my christmas coupon and the service call fee was waived. thanks!!!
i recently called priority plumbing to help install new plumbing rough-ins for my shower renovation. they were very flexible with scheduling which was an important factor for me. my serviceman, greg, showed up in the given time window and worked out a plan with me for the new piping. he was great to work with and did the work in a timely, professional and friendly manner. one pipe was installed slightly out of position, but he came back right away and made the adjustment. so even though i felt the price was a little heavy i nevertheless felt very taken care of since greg was a pleasure to work with and did excellent work on the project. also, the scheduling flexibility was a big plus for me so i was willing to pay a bit more for that luxury.
priority plumbing is a very professional company. i am very satisfied with the customer service provided. i had water underneath my kitchen sink. the piping was falling apart. kostis, the technican explained what needed to be done. the kitchen faucet was loose. the kitchen sink was repiped and a new faucet was installed. thank you.
i came to learn about priority plumbing on homestars. given all of the positive feedback, i decided to give them a call to help with a clogged and frozen drain in my kitchen. they were able to schedule me in for a service call the following morning. the following day, one of the technicians (greg t) arrived at my home at exactly 9:00 a.m. to begin the work. greg was extremely courteous and professional. he was able to quickly identify the problem and offer up several options to address the issue. greg was very thorough in walking me through every stage of the work that needed to be done. this was my first time using a professional plumbing service, and i can say without hesitation that i will definitely be calling priority plumbing (and requesting greg) in the future. thank you, priority plumbing, for making it such a pleasant experience.
spring arrived and we turned on our outdoor water supply. we were surprised when the water began leaking into the house instead of flowing out to the hose tap. pp responded to our call and trevor arrived. he diagnosed the problem quickly as worn faucet connections. he replaced both our warm and cold outbound water faucets with more efficient levers. the job required soldering and he was careful to protect the surrounding area, temporarily disconnected our fire alarm and did it all with utmost professionalism.it was an expensive fix but we always feel secure when trevor does the work and know that pp stands behind it. might have had the work done by another supplier for a bit less but ultimately water damage inside would have been horrendous. thanks trevor. great work!
my house was being renovated and my fiance and i were on crunch time! we didn't anticipate all the plumbing problems that were buried in our walls. thank god that the staff at priority plumbing were able to accommodate us and help us meet our deadlines so that we could take our honeymoon with peace of mind. they were also very thoughtful and had the foresight to provide rough-ins for future fixtures, something that we would never had thought of on our own, but now will save thousands of dollars in the future as a result.thanks guys, keep up the good work!!!
i called priority plumbing this morning because i had a burst pipe in my basement. there was water everywhere! steven arrived within an hour and was very courteous and professional. he wore booties to protect my floors. he completed the job within a couple of hours and even mopped up all the water in the basement for us. i will be using priority plumbing again in the spring when we renovate our bathroom.
i received a letter in the mail last week from priority plumbing indicating that they would be in my area doing free home inspections this week. at first i was a little bit hesitant because i thought there would be a catch. after jennifer reassured me over the phone, that there was no catch and it was up to me to go ahead with any work that i was quoted.mike came by the next day and inspected the entire house; he was very knowledgeable and professional. i ended up having him install a freeze free outside hose tap for me so i dont have to drag two hoses from the front of the house. i was impressed by their professionalism.
on a second visit trevor corrected a problem even though we had no warranty. he was willing to go the extra mile to figure out what was wrong and put things right.
i had my bath tub back up on me. i tried to plunge it and and i tried to use some liquid clog remover but it would budge. after much reluctance i decided to call a plumber. i found priority plumbing because of their drain cleaning coupon. i called them up and they sent tony over within a couple of hours. he was able to get the clog cleared without a problem and was happy.
priority offered great. service. the technician came during the window allotted and their office called that morning to confirm that all was well. they used a camera to show me the reason for the blockage in my pipes so i could see for myself. they offered options at various costs and came back the next morning to complete the job as it req'd some specialized equipment. they have set prices for certain jobs that they can show you. trevor was great at walking me through the handbook and outlining my future options for major work as i have some roots growing into my drain. (fun!) but no pressure, just informative.
bryan scott 5 stari was doing some renovation work in my basement when i accidentally cut a water pipe. i googled plumbers, and decided to call priority plumbing. i must say from my first to my last contact with these folks has been nothing but professional. but like a wise man told me, anyone can fix a pipe. so i commend kostis on his up and beyond service to his customers. i needed some extra plumbing work so i asked for a quote on some jobs i would like to have done. one major one was to replace the lead pipe coming into my home. he was very helpful with his ideas and suggestions. he made every effort to reduce my cost, as he recognized i was on a fixed income. he is a very courteous and polite young man.his team went beyond what i would expect from a plumbing team. they made every effort to ensure my home was kept clean, and safe. after the work was done to replace my lead pipe they returned everything back the way it was. including putting the snow back on my lawn. they were here for 3 days, and at the end of each day, they cleaned up extremely well. better than when they came.kostis was amazing to work with, he made my laundry room more efficient, more safe, improved the function of the room as well as the looks. i applaud him and highly recommend this company but more so i recommend kostis.this company is lucky to have him and the quality of work he produces. not to mention the extra things he does to make you remember him.thank you kostis you made a bad mistake turn into a blessing in disguise.bryan scott
my bath faucet was stuck, luckily plumber trevor, was available on the same day..and we were loosing water he was, reasonably helpful and truthful about the issue. he spent time to explain how to fix the minor issue in future...we really appreciated that. only wish the charges weren't so steep!
i found priority plumbing & drains and greg the plumber to be very knowledgeable and he did an excellent work. the price of the repair was well explained before the work was done.excellent work.
we needed same-day work done on our leaky toilet and we found priority plumbing through positive online reviews. i was impressed that they called 20 minutes before they arrived to make sure i was home, and they were there within the window they provided (2-5pm). he was professional and courteous, wore slip-on covers for his shoes to make sure he didn't get my house dirty, and provided me with many options without pressuring me in to a more expensive option than i was comfortable with. his work was quick and clean, and we were really happy with the job. i would highly recommend priority plumbing.
i've been a client of prioirty plumbing for several several years. today, my toilet needed a minor adjustment. greg came to the house on schedule, fixed the problem within minutes and explained what he had done. i would recommend both him and his company highly.
trevor is an extremely thoughtful and competent technician. he fixed some wear and tear related items for us as we were moving into our new house. i would definitely work with trevor and priority again. (the call centre was also very helpful; good proactive communications.)
i cannot believe that you get charged an estimate of $56.00 and then on top, to be told that it would cost over $900.00 to install a toilet.. i do not recommend these plumbers...period.. we called another plumber to get the service done for $200.00 plus..
priority plumbing's staff was prompt and professional. they gave me a good assessment of the issues and delivered a quote in a timely fashion. i would not hesitate to cal them again when i have any plumbing issues.
i called priority plumbing yesterday to schedule an appt. for my running toilet.steven arrived on time and was very polite. he fixed the problem for me in no time at all. i would definitely use priority plumbing again.
i called priority plumbing yesterday morning because i discovered a leak in my radiator. greg arrived on time and was very knowledgeable. he explained different options to me what he had to do to repair or replace the radiator. i chose to repair it, and within a couple of hours my radiator was up and running again.i found greg and priority plumbing to be very professional and helpful and would use them again the future if i have any plumbing needs.
after an initial visit did not resolve the underlying problem, priority plumbing returned to replace the whole unit. the plumber was fast, polite and tidy, and credited the cost of the first visit towards the final cost of the new toilet.
i recently had the pipe under my kitchen sink burst. it made such a mess and i wasn`t able to get it under control on my own. i gave priority plumbing a call and they came to do an estimate right away. they fixed the pipe without any hassle. i would use them again!
i was very happy with the work performed by the company, and by kyle and his partner. i went with priority plumbing because i appreciated their professional approach to discussing my needs, and how thorough they were in providing a quote. kyle and his partner did excellent work, were thorough in checking that everything was done properly, and left everything in excellent working condition. i would recommend them to anyone i know.
last friday we called priority plumbing to come to our office to check out a blocked pipe that caused a flood of waste water in our basement. as you can imagine, the whole office smelled awful. we wanted the problem resolved asap.the plumber showed up. payment was required before any work was completed. we willingly paid the $99 fee (+ hst) to have the problem, as we had hoped, resolved and the blockage cleared. we expressed our concern that the blockage was due to the fact that it was raining, and that somehow this was contributing to the cause of the back-up (a smaller flood had occurred a few weeks earlier, also when it was raining). the plumber dismissed the idea, and said that it was highly unlikely that rain could be contributing to the back-up. the plumber attempted to clear the blockage with a snake, but was unable to. he told us that our problem was not due to a blockage, and that it was actually a broken pipe. he explained that the resistance he was getting would not occur if it was simply a blockage, and explained that it could be dangerous to force the snake any further. he pulled out the snake, attached a sonar device to the snake, and sent it back to the location of the break in order to get an accurate location of where the problem was. he said the blockage was in the middle of the room.the plumber then explained that we had two options to proceed. option 1 ($2100): replace the broken section of pipe. option 2 ($6000): replace the whole pipe to avoid a future problem. we left it at that and he left.we called in a second opinion to have a look at the problem. we explained to him everything we were told by priority plumbing, and he decided he would re-assess the situation. the new plumber placed a camera down the pipe and was able to move through the entire section of the pipe where priority plumbing had identified a break. to our surprise, absolutely no break was present, and no blockage was present at all in this section. a blockage, not a break, was found much further down the pipe at the front of the house. it was found that the downspouts outside were feeding directly into this very location of the pipe, and this is where the blockage was. this explained why the back-up occurred when it was raining heavily. the blockage was immediately removed and cleared, and we are back up and running.although there's no way to prove it for sure, we think that priority plumbing should have been able to detect what the actual problem was. it seems like we might have been mislead. we would never recommend priority plumbing to anyone.
mike came to the house to conduct a camera inspection of my drains. he explained everything carefully, arrived on time and even brought his own 'red carpet'. if you have one of their $50 off cards, remember to give it to them up front.
my wife called this company to come give an estimate to install a toilet, a very small job. priority plumbing quoted an outrageous price of $600 just to install a toilet. our toilet had cracked and all they had to do was remove the old toilet and install the new one. we didn't hire this company and had to absorb the $40 consultation fee. i wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. feb 5 2009
i just wanted to follow-up on a review i submitted on saturday, may 2. as i had mentioned i had a small leak coming from my second floor bathroom into the room below. i removed all the drywall from in front of where i thought the leak was located and found the leak. it was therefore easy for the plumber to get at the pipes since i had removed all the drywal. i called priority plumbing for emergency service. they charged me $160 for the service call. their plumber, kevin, came over and had a look and then indicated it would cost over $700 to fix. it truly was highway robbery and, quite frankly, i would rather have paid that amount for brain surgery because that it what i would have needed if i decided to use them to fix the leak. kevin indicated that this was a standard cost that any plumber would charge. i ended up hiring another local company and they fixed the problem for $350.had priority plumbing treated me fairly, i would have used them but they betrayed my trust and took advantage of my situation. they will likely do the same to other consumers so please avoid this company at all costs.
i required emergency drain work done and priority plumbing was recommended by another contractor. i contacted them and they responded immediately. they came when they said they were going to, were friendly, knowledgeable and explained exactly what needed to be done. we arranged for the work to be done the following day and it was completed professionally and on time. would definitely recommend them to anyone needing plumbing work. thanks guys. great job.
i called priority plumbing and was told that there would be a $49 service call whether they did the job or not. i asked what their hourly rate was and i was told there was no hourly rate. i found this odd but i also knew that the job of putting a faucet onto an already existing and hooked up water system would be straight forward and would take little time.the gentleman that came was very nice, the girl on the phone was very nice. i could not believe that he quoted $750.00 to do the job. i had a master plumber come and do the job - he was in and out in 45 minutes - cost was $140.00. i had to pay the $49 to priority plumbing for the service call. what a rip off - they must make a bundle just driving around the city making outrageous quotes and collecting $50 without doing anything.
it's never fun when you realize your toilet won't flush... the only toilet in the apartment! kostis came quickly, outlined my options and quickly executed the plan.he was very professional and i would definately refer the company to others.
i am on the service plan with priority plumbing, so it was easy and fast to get greg out to the house to fix my leaking drain. he solved the problem quickly and at a cost that was explained to me up front. priority plumbing is not cheap, but i've found that few good plumbers are. you get what you pay for and we think priority plumbing is worth the price.
the plumber, giacomo that came to service our problem was friendly and professional. he provided us with 3 different possible options to move forward with to fix our problem. he was quick and clean.
great service, quick response and very professional. priority plumber solved my worries about the leak in less than 30 minutes at the same time gave me cheap and easy option to fixing my leak. i am glad i called them
i'd rather not go through all the details, but this company failed us on every count. i'd never recommend them or call them again. other companies served us so much better.
priority plumbing came to do a service check. this included draining the water heater, snaking the basement drain, and fixing the leak in the kitchen sink, installing new faucet, basket and necessary new works under the sink.as always, they were upfront about the cost, my options and flexible on payment.
i called priority plumbing this morning because i wanted to install an outdoor faucet to make watering my garden easier. mike arrived on time and was very polite. he installed one that does not freeze in the wintertime and now i am able to water my plants without lugging watering cans to and from my house. thanks mike and priority plumbing.
i had been putting off repairing my kitchen faucet for a while and one day it finally gave way. i had to call priority as the water was steadily flowing and i could not stop it. as usual the girl on the phone was very pleasant. they sent greg the plumber over and he was very polite. he introduced himself at the door, and wore shoe covers. he advised me that due to the age and model of the old faucet, it may be best to replace it rather than repair it. he showed me various models, it was like bringing the store to my house. it was great. i am very pleased with the new one and i highly reccomend priority plumbing.
i've been putting off getting a bunch of repairs done, but finally called priority (referred by a friend) and asked if they could come the following day. kostis was great: arrived on time, explained all the problems, gave me several options, worked quickly, walked me through all the new things, and left the place spotless. i think priority is a first-rate operation, and i'd definitely refer others to them.
i called priority plumbing yesterday because i discovered my main shut of valve in the basement was leaking. greg arrived on time and was very courteous and professional. he explained that due to the age of the valve that he would have to replace it. since the city cooperated and managed to turn off the water the same day, i had my main shut off replaced within 3 hours.i would recommend priority plumbing and greg to anyone who experiences plumbing issues big or small.
this was the third time in ten years that i needed a plumber for the toilet. i called on a saturday morning and the plumber arrived early afternoon. he was polite, informative and efficient.
i called priority plumbing on thursday and the call was answered very curteously and professionally. i made an appointment for the next saturday since the repairs were not "urgent". on saturday, the plumber called and confirmed his arrival time and showed up as expected. he was very professional, wore boot covers and looked at the 2 problems to provide me with a written estimate of the repairs with some different options to choose from. the prices are not cheap by any means but include all parts and labour. the company also offers a service place which gives a rebate on their list prices. the work was done extremely well and efficiently.
Nice guys, they fixed the problem and informed me on what needs to be done so that a sewage backup doesn't occur again. Greg and Brandon were clean and respectful of the surroundings. Highly recommended
i had a minor leak in my condo's toilet. water was running after flushing - nothing to panic about one would think. the condo management recommends a specific company to residents. unfortunately, their plumber didn't show up. i was in rush and was about to lose my patience. so i called priority plumbing. the customer service is professional, the technician came within an hour as i hoped for. upon his arrival, i was about to become happy again, as my meeting around 3pm could actually happen on time. i explained the technician that i am in hurry and have a quite limited time frame. however, he was very thorough in his explanations how my toilet functions. he dedicated his and my time to draw my attention to the valves that i had no idea about. the situation was almost comical, i was literally counting minutes as they passed by. we took a look at the kitchen - just in case, so i don't have problems in the future should i have a flooding damage that needs to be claimed. the guy was professional. although we spent 30 minutes of my time on all kinds of issues, it took around a minute to diagnose the actual problem with the toilet.my tenant came and asked me why we were trying to fix the toilet somewhere around kitchen drain pipes... i told him that this plumber is highly competent - a leaking toilet could potentially leak to my kitchen pipes, still not sure if the tenant took the words seriously.the plumber left me alone in the condo for around 10 minutes to write down the options for me, as he explained. those ten minutes were probably the longest in my life, since i was observing my time passing. he came back with around 5 options. it was comical enough, but the plumber was professional, so he attempted to explain me what else their company does and which services they offer before reading me the options. i would have started to laugh, if i hadn't been in rush for quite a while by then. almost losing my temper i actually asked him to proceed with options. the plumber professionally advised me that a number of options actually address the issue thoroughly, i.e, replacing the toilet as a whole. thanks god he didn't suggest changing the condo because of the toilet leak.we narrowed down the options to the amount of cad$350 or so. i was confused by then and thought that i want this to end. after brief negotiations he explained me that he cannot change the price, he then changed the price twice just to help me and we got down to cad$250 or so. it was so entertaining, one could think that this is kind of a show and i am actually on tv. however, i told this plumbing professional that i pay cad$225 (everything included), or we say good bye to each other. he did not agree.i paid cad$50 for the service assessment. when i mentioned that should the other company confirm that the assessment is wrong, i will call my lawyer, the plumbing professional became more specific and actually wrote down what happened and needs to be done. based on the assessments i ordered the service from other company for tomorrow. they advised me that the issue can be addressed for around cad$150. they also told me that should i be in the condo and call them from there, they could explain me over the phone what to do, so it could cost cad$5.i am going to meet the guys tomorrow, and should they do what is promised, i will consider them to be my first choice in case of any plumbing emergency.overall, if you have a minor issue and have ample of time call priority plumbing, they will deliver first class comedy club experience for cad$50, which is fairly priced. otherwise, i would recommend using other service.thank you.update: the other company came on time and replaced a tank flapper (cad$5-20 part). cad$140 work total.
priority plumbing comes to your home and takes a lot of time to put together 3 options for you to get your kitchen drain unclogged. after more than a 1/2 hour, i was presented with the most expensive option - which was to jet the pipes - at $1,154. the least expensive option to snake the drain would have set me back more than $300 and greg was skeptical if that would work as he could not pinpoint the clog. instead, i paid greg his $49 fee and sent him on his way. my regular guys, who incidentally have a homestars star, came later that day. i had called them in the morning, but they were busy, so i told them i'd call them back if i couldn't find someone else, as i was in a pinch. as usual, they arrived, didn't waste my time (pretty great as i have children) and charged me $175 to snake the drain. i told my guy about the experience with priority earlier in the day and he was incredulous. he said the clog was plain as day. anyway, this is my first negative review of a company on homestars, but i feel obligated to report this as i don't think anyone likes to feel ripped off.
pipes in my houses when i was absent and caused some damaged for which a plumber had to be called. i choose to call priority plumbing & drains as it was recommended to me and i also seen work they have done to the person that recommended to me and was very impressed by the quality of work and also the way they responded quickly.i like the way they handle the problem with no sale pressure but first try to analyse the problem and offer solutions that best suits the needs. the pricing is fair and also the fact that is based on the type of work not by the hours.my pipe problem has been resolved very quickly and repairs were done on a very professional way.with no hesitation i would recommend priority plumbing & drains for work to be done in anybody's home. austin was great help and i would definitely use his company again if needed.
i left a deposit for some work to be done but it wasn't in my budget at this time. priority plumbing refunded my deposit minus the service call. i will call them when ready to do the work
Adam T of Priority Plumbing did a great job fixing a burst pipe under the kitchen sink, and installed some other upgrades in our home. I was very pleased with his work. The service was fast and efficient, and costs were explained and options provided before the work began. I highly recommend Priority Plumbing
excellent work from kostis and the crew at priority plumbing. they came in on short notice, worked quickly, and cleaned everything up perfectly. the follow up inspection from trevor was great as well. highly recommended.
my daughter dropped her diamond earing down the sink , priority charged her $300 for a 5 minute job to take the p-trap apart!! i think this is bloody highway robbery!
"we wish to express our appreciation for prompt, reliable, competent and courteous services recently provided us by priority plumbing.last winter during extreme cold temperatures, our pipes froze. we called priority plumbing and they arrived immediately and safely defrosted them. just having purchased our house, we wanted to make sure that this didn't happen again. priority plumbing educated us about the various options, explained what the costs entailed, maintained excellent communications throughout, and successfully solved our problem.they provided us with such competent plumbers and excellent service, that when it was time to renovate our bathroom we called them. priority plumbing is not only reliable in solving any plumbing emergency but also great at bathroom renovation projects."
when i called priority the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. they arranged an appointment for me the following day with their plumber calling me when he was on the way. aside from the high quality work which they did, the extra steps the company takes such as putting on slippers when entering your home, and providing a pre-set list of the price for different services make them the company i will deal with whenever i have any plumbing issues in the future.
kostis p came and changed the main shutoff valve in our house that was broken and pouring out water. he was absolutely amazing. so friendly and went out of his way to help us. even building a temporary pipe system out of pvc to funnel the water into the basement floor drain while we waited for the city to come shut off the water. excellent service that i would recommend to anyone!
greg arrived on time and was very courteous and professional. he offered me several solutions to my leaking faucet. due to the age of the faucet, i decided to replace it and go with a single valve control to help control the temperature of the water better. i was very impressed by greg and his many options. i will certainly use priority plumbing and greg again in the future should i have any more plumbing issues.
i called priority plumbing yesterday because my old laundry tub was leaking again. i have been using priority plumbing as well as recommending them to clients for several years now. mike was very professional as usual, and informed me that to save space in my laundry room, i could install a single laundry tub, in place of the old double tub. i thought that was a great idea!he installed the new laundry tub right away and hauled off the old bags of broken up concrete for me. they cleaned up as usual, and now i have much more room for storage shelving! i will continue to recommend priority plumbing to all my friends and family.
i called priority plumbing yesterday because upon turning on the shower yesterday morning, i discovered i had no hot water.priority came within the hour, and was very professional and polite.i ended up replacing the tank because it was too old to repair.they solved my problem quickly, professionally and the price was reasonable. priority did an excellent job and i would definitely use priority plumbing again.
service was provided promptly and cheerfully on a sunday morning. giacomo was courteous and efficient. he promptly identified sources of all 3 leaks, repaired one without charge, and even informed us of a problem that was not worth fixing after he had gone out to purchase materials needed for the job!
i called priority plumbing this morning on the recommendation of a neighbor to unclog my kitchen sink. mike arrived a few hours later and within an hour had courteously and professionally fixed the problem. he also gave me some organic drain cleaner to keep me trouble free throughout the year. im very happy with the service that mike and priority plumbing provided and will use them again in the future should i run into anymore plumbing issues.
plumber came to our house promptly, and was very polite. $230 dollars to fix leak, but we were in a bind about to leave for vacation, so we said go ahead with the work. a few hours after the work was complete, the faucet was leaking again. plumber came back, tried to change the cartridge, but didn't have one that would fit. said he could try to find the parts, but that it would be another $230 + parts to fix it. $460 to fix a leaky faucet. "well you know it's a really old faucet," the plumber says. come on! anything would be better than this!
we called priority plumbing when we had a backup of sewage in our basement. they were fast, courteous and very efficient. they used a camera to identify and locate a tree root problem. they took the time to explain every detail about the job and the job process. they had to break the floor in the basement and replace a section of broken drain. not only did they have the work completed in a timely fashion, they left the work area very clean. they even helped us get a $2000.00 rebate from the city which covered the entire cost of the work. i highly recommend priority plumbing to everyone!
i am currently re-modelling my kitchen and needed to move some plumbing as i am re locating the kitchen sink to an island. i found priority plumbing online along with a couple of other companies. i must say that they were by far the most professional and it was a "no brainer" of a choice. i would recommend them to anyone who needs a plumber and will use them to hook up my fixtures when i complete the remainder of the job.
the person who came to the house was very fast, polite and efficient . good service and good advice on other questions that i had. bought the service plan and would deal with them again.
priority plumbing gave me a next day appointment with a three hour window of my choice. greg came on time, explained the work that needed to be done and did it promptly and very well. too often, plumbing repairs are an adventure of not a very rewarding kind. not so priority. who we have previously used with similar excellent results.i would recommend priority plumbing to my mother and to anyone else's mother with no hesitation.
our sewage backed up last weekend. a nightmare! everything eventually had to be torn out and we'll be renovating. we really appreciated the speedy and very efficient service we got from priority. not only that, they recommended an awesome restoration service to us and the whole experience has been great. the follow up phone calls have been appreciated too. all around a perfect outcome to what could have been a very difficult situation. thanks! you're staying on file with us!
all the drains in my house would not work so i called priority plumbing. it isn't easy to find a service company whos on time, however i can honestly say priority plumbing accomplished this.they were right on time, very friendly and did a great job! our taps were done in just a few hours and when they left it looked like no one had been their in the first place! i truly appreciate the work they did and would not hesitate to call them in the future.
we used priority plumbing to replace the main building trap in our front yard. we called them with backed up floor drains in our house the day before christmas eve and they had a technician out that day who offered immediate action. we had a full crew out on christmas eve that dug a 4'x4' hole in our front yard. they replaced the 100 year old trap with two modern cleanouts in approximately four hours and we were back and better than ever. the excavation crew did an excellent job cleaning up afterwards going so far as to sprinkle snow over top of the area that they had exposed making it look like no one had been there. we were very pleased with the level of professionalism and speed of the job.
matt was very professional and friendly, knowledgeable and a great communicator - definitely the most professional plumbing visit i have ever experienced. he explained his approach to troubleshooting my problem and let me know about all the potential costs before starting work. he seems very honest and trustworthy and i will definitely call him again if i need plumbing help.
allison was very pleasant and attentive and set up an appointment for the following day. greg assessed the job and was very professional in his explanation of the requirements. the work was professionally done and completed in a 7 hour period. i would have to say the cost was totally outrageous. problem being i didn't have a choice it was getting cold. even though the work was well done and the service was great i would have a hard time telling friends not to shop around and get quotes. on a positive note they did respond rapidly and the work was done professionally.
we have used their services many times and found them to be courteous & professional. every time. greg & austin explained all their work and it was done promptly. i would highly recommend them.
first thing the guy do is pull the rate list with regular price and compares it with value price which comes with 1 year membership. to replace the bathtub faucet, i was quoted $1200. to open and close toilet $399 which is practically opening two screws which he did in couple of minutes.i understand the fact they are "licensed" "bonded" and do background check. but that doesnt mean they have license to charge arm and leg and it is all sales pitch. i would recommend people to do their own homework and get quotes from couple of different places. i firmly believe that ratings on his website are fake. torontonians deserve better at affordable price.
i had a faucet that had rotted & ruined the vanity. steve replaced it all plus a faucet in the kitchen & in less time than expected. having a service contract with this company has saved me a lot of money for every job i have had done.
contacted these guys through samedayplumbing.ca to fix two broken waste disposal units (garburator) - follow up over the phone was professional but quote when the tech came to the house was crazy. told me that we need to replace both (which is what i expected) but wanted to charge more than $2000 (units cost $500 combined at home depot - rest is labour). when i asked how long it would take, he said an hour - which means for travel and 1 hour of time was $1500. i don't mind paying a premium but when someone is taking advantage of you, based on the size of your house, trusting personality or other reason then i have a problem. when i commented about the price the response was "that's the price of being in business" which is a good reason why you should not do business with companies like this.response to company: we were quoted $750 and $1250 which is $2000 + hst. the units are the same that are sold by homedepot - they carry the full line of residential units - we purchased the same units you quoted with install from home depot for $1000 including hst. home depot contractors are insured and licensed to install the units. this is just a case where competition is forcing you to have prices that the market expects - we know how much the units cost and we know what the labour cost.
kostis the technician was knowledgeable, professional and very helpful. he did an excellent job. i particularly liked how committed he was to doing a careful and thorough job. i highly recommend kostis and priority plumbing.howard mcphee
excellent service! they were able to send someone to us within an hour of calling. matthew did a great job fixing our problems and i would for sure use the service again.
i had a backup in my main drain located in my basement after doing laundry.i called priority plumbing and they gave me a 5-8 appointment and promised to call 30 mins before arrival. at 7:30 no one called so i called them and the message said they are closed and call back during business hours before 8 pm (it was 7:30).i called back the next day and was told another appointment has been made for 8-11 which was also missed.the third appointment was booked and to compensate me for my troubles, they offered to waive the $49 assessment fee. the 3rd appointment the plumber showed up on time and with a call beforehand as promised.upon his arrival before doing any kind of inspection other then looking around, i was presented with a few options ranging from $800 to $8000. i was uncomfortable with agreeing to start any work without a camera inspection which was the reason i made the appointment in the first place.after hearing about 5 options including him trying to sell me "a beautiful toilet" he has in his truck for $800 which went up to $1,100 after he looked in his book, i requested to just do the job i booked him for which was snake and camera as advertised on the website and confirmed by the lady who took my appointments.he said he would do it but it would cost an additional $400 above what the website stated and what the booking lady confirmed. i was shocked and when i pointed out the site pricing he gave me the excuse that the price i was offered was for emergency cases where water backs up and after i told him my water did back up and showed him, he said i need a cleanout access and i showed him 2 of them and then he said he didn't want to open those cleanouts because its cast iron and instead, he would snake and camera via the toilet.i asked him how long it would take and said about half an hour. he wanted to charge me an additional $400 above the agreed price to take out a toilet that has 2 screws in the ground. i was so frustrated with all his sales tactics and bait and switch techniques i told him i no longer wanted his "services".i called another plumber who came out with in a few hours, opened the cleanout, snaked the main drain and pulled out a toy that the kids managed to flush down with a bunch of toilet paper caught up in it. the second plumber even inspected the entire drain with the camera to confirm all is well.the clog was located outside the house under my front lawn which had nothing to do with any of the $800-$8000 options that priority plumber gave me. he would have known that if he actually used the snake and/or camera.i was made to feel that my plumbing needs were not being addressed but rather just being used as a sales opportunity. very frustrating experience and i'm really glad the $49 assessment fee was returned because paying that for the kind of service (or lack of) would of added an extra bitter taste.
priority plumbing responded to our call for help very quickly. they were fair with the costs of the job they quoted and stayed on to finish the job properly. in summary they were very professional and exactly what we were looking for.
i spent more than i would have liked, but am extremely happy with the results. friendly, polite, and efficient work. my service person was extremely knowledgeable. very satisfied customer of priority plumbing.
priority plumbing came to my house within 1 hour of being called. the plumber that came to my house was greg. i had a clogged drain in my bathtub and it turned out to be a toy that one of my kids had gotten stuck in the pipe. greg was nice and professional and i highly recommend priority plumbing.
we had our toilet back up first thing in the morning so we called priority after finding them online. they came within an hour and were very polite and professional. i was worried about having to call a plumber and the horror stories you hear about price, but they were fast and the price was great. i was able to make it to work on time and it made what could have been a real inconvenience in my day to be not a problem at all. other than it cost me $200 but that was my fault for flushing kleenex down the drain, i am very pleased. good job!
i was able to send a quick email with my plumbing concerns and felicity called me within an hour to discuss my needs and book a visit. she even provided updates when needed. greg t arrived as scheduled and not only fixed our leaking kitchen faucet and slow draining bathroom sink, he provided suggestions for a replacement faucet. his knowledge of style and function were excellent. he helped me choose a classic, high end style faucet, one i didn't even know i wanted. he found that we were missing shut off valves at both sinks and then educated us on how to maintain our water lines and valves. he was very professional and i am so grateful for his service.
i had a great experience with priority plumbing. i called them when i was having drainage issues. they were professional from the first call all the way until the job was done. i have already recommended them to a few friends.
i called priority plumbing to fix my leaking kitchen drain pipe. i was not put on hold, their dispatcher jennifer was super pleasant and helpful, their plumber steven called to let me know that he was on the way and was very professional and pleasant on the phone. they did not park in my driveway, he did not smoke or stink like cigarettes for that matter, he was very polite, courteous, wore shoe covers explained everything in great detail and cleaned up afterwards. the rest of you companies have a lot of catching up to do and can learn about how to run a business from priority plumbing. excellent service!
i used priority plumbing's website to make an inquiry and had a representative call me back within a few hours. they offered to make an appointment for same-day service. angelo, the plumber who arrived at my home, was impeccably polite and very friendly. the problem with my water heater mixing valve was identified quickly and the whole repair was made within an hour. angelo provided several, fully priced options for me to choose form (some including warranties, and there was more than one way to solve the problem as well). if angelo is representative of what the average professional form this company is like, then i can highly recommend them. angelo, specifically, was exemplary. 10 out of 10.
my drain was backed up and i was experiencing minor flooding in my unfinished basement ... the same day my wife went into labour with our first daughter. needless to say, a rapid response was necessary, and greg and kyle delivered that and then some. they walked me through the problems and solutions and provided multiple options for how we could proceed. i felt like i was in good hands, and that they wanted the best for my house and family. the work was done extremely quickly and professionally and i am confident that i will never have to replace the work that priority plumbing provided. will definitely be recommending them to friends and family, and will undoubtedly call again if i ever have any other problems. thanks guys!
we had a very clogged toilet and called priority on saturday afternoon. greg arrived within 90 minutes. he was so courteous and friendly and fixed our toilet extremely fast! will definitely call again!
i recently called priority plumbing because our ensuite shower only had hot water coming out. priority plumbing schedueld an appointment to check it out quickly. the technician diagnosed the problem found the part and was back quickly to fix the shower. the work was done efficiently and well. i highly recommend priority plumbing.
we've used priority plumbing multiples times over the last year due to several issues (clogged sink, roots in our pipes in the basement, and then a general house check). i've never seen young men as excited to be plumbers as i have with priority plumbing, which is a good sign.when we had some mishaps with our pipe repair in the basement (it's an old house so surprises are a guarantee), our technician made sure to get everything fixed within a day - which was amazing!
greg from priority plumbing gave a comprehensive assessment of what my condo needed. building is 12 years old, i had just moved in and noticed some things that he confirmed needed work, repair, or new fixtures. he was spotless, even worked in a small enclosed space to avoid the fire detector going off- spotless cleanup! priority has been my choice for home and condo!
respectful crew. on time and assessment along with quote was reasonable. had to dig up a perennial garden to access pipes and they were careful with our rose bushes ec.
austin t was fantastic. knowledgeable, courteous and passionate. our pipes froze and he reviewed our situation and even said he thought about how to deal with our unique insulation problem when he went home. he gathered a great work crew together very quickly and they had the job done in one day with very minimal mess to our newly renovated basement. highly recommend austin and priority plumbing.
i called priority plumbing yesterday, and mike came over to fix my hot water tank. there was water everywhere! mike was very professional and helped me calm down. he told me that he would fix my problem in the next couple of hours and he did! he replaced my shut off valve, then told me that the whole tank was shot. he then suggested that i call the rental company and see if they could replace it for me instead of purchasing a new one. i so glad he suggested that, the rental company came within 2 hours, took one look at the tank, and agreed that it would have to be replaced.so thanks to mike, he not only fixed my leak, but he also saved me $2000.00!i would definetley use priority plumbing again, and will be recommending them to all my friends and family.jenna in the annex.
i called priority plumbing to have my main drain replace. i was so happy with how kind everyone was. even the receptionist i talked to was extremely helpful and kind. they came quickly, with no fuss and left no mess. i even happy with the price they charged. i will use them again for any other plumbing issues.
my drain was clogged so i called priority plumbing. the service was terrific from the phone call to the work. austin was extremely professional. he did not have ay issues with answering my zillion questions. a true gentleman. he quickly fixed the problem and even cleaned up! i would definitely use them again without hesitation.
we had priority plumbing come in and clear our drain in the laundry room. they were extremely professional, came quickly and were very friendly. they also only charged $100 and we were very impressed. a few months later we had a few more different issues in the house so we called them again to fix them. at last we found a great, moderately priced plumber who did a great job. when i made the service call, the man who answered the phone was extremely pleasant and they came very very quickly. when the plumber came over, he listened to my complaints and briefly looked at the issues. he did not take anything apart. he then sat me down and went over in detail how my noisy shower and leaky valve would cost upwards of $1000 to fix. he said the part i needed for the shower was very pricey and hard to source. i asked if since we only renovated the bathroom 3 years ago would it be under warranty and he said no. however i insisted that i could get the part myself and he did give me a separate quote without it. he told me just the part would cost $300. for the leaky water valve in the basement, he gave me a whole long winded story about how he will need to take the entire thing out, put in new parts etc. that would cost $500. i was a bit flabbergasted with the cost because i renovated our entire house and knew simple plumbing issues did not cost that much. i called my neighbours plumber who actually took apart the shower, told me which part i needed, told me it would definitely be under warranty, called the store i bought it from, got the part for free and fixed it. i asked him how much the part would cost if it wasn't under warranty and he said max $120. as for the leaky valve in the basement, all it needed was to be tightened and problem solved. and no that isn't just a quick fix, it really had just become loose and needed to be tightened. i felt sick after priority's plumber left only because i felt completely ripped off by them. would it have been different if the plumber was dealing with my husband and not me? who knows!
i called priority plumbing for a renovation quote to replace my bathroom fixtures. steven arrived on time and was very polite and helpful with ideas and suggestions of what could be done with the bathroom. i decided on a new water efficient toilet, sink with vanity and a new bathtub. steven was able to start the same day, and the job was completed by the end of the week, as a couple of items had to be special ordered through the supplier. im very happy with my new fixtures and would recommend using steven and priority plumbing to anyone who needs plumbing services.
exceptional service. fast, efficient and couldn't have been more concerned about the quality of the work. i can't wait to have another plumbing issue just so i can use these guys again. thank-you!
greg tsakopoulos from priority plumbing is one of the cleanest, most competent plumbing contractors i've ever hired. when he became available before the scheduled appointment, his service called and greg showed up early. he then showed us a number of repair and upgrade options to meet our needs, and he completed his work in line with his original time and cost estimates.
i had two toilets that had issues. one kept running and the other was so bad it would not even fill up the tank. kostis gave me a few options and fixed things in a short amount of time. he even mentioned some maintenance tips to prevent recurrence.
my kitchen taps were in need of repair, so i looked online and found priority plumbing. i was impressed with the website and the fact that they had some good reviews on homestars so i called them. the plumber greg was very professional and knowledgable. he took the time to explain my options and that due to the age of my faucet, i may want to consider replacing it as the most cost effective solution long term. he was not pushy at all and he had various models in the truck that saved me the hassle of shopping around. he was able to get the job done in just over an hour. the service was great, the technician was great. i am very pleased with the service and would highly recommend them.
in our old house our pipes started leaking a natural thing in a house of that age but a pain and expense to fix we had the guys come in any the were nice great service, hard workers and i felt comfotable with them in my home (it is just me and my daughter) i highly recommend services if you have any plumbing needs and want great service without a huge bill
i had a clogged drain and called priority plumbing immediately. they were very friendly and helpful. the service was fast and efficient. i would call them again and recommend to friends!
during a furnace component leak in january 2014, during a cold snap and right after the ice storm, my usual plumbing company was too busy to service the call, but indicated the repair was urgent. luckily, priority plumbing answered their phone with a live service rep, and put me in their service queue. i was shocked to see greg arrive within a few hours after being told it may be a day or more - he even called just prior to arriving.greg immediately diagnosed the problem, patiently explained the solution and pricing. he went to work quickly draining the large old furnace and installed the new part. he was thorough, professional, and took care to thoroughly test all the components of the heating system to ensure the new part and post-install procedures worked. he even looked at some unrelated issues in the building and provided helpful suggestions. he was polite, highly experienced with older boilers, thorough, and knowledgable. priority's excellent service meant only a minor disruption in heat servicing 11 units in subzero weather which the tenants didn't even notice.very pleased with the excellent service - and quick response during a very high demand period.
i called priority plumbing because i my kitchen sink suddenly stopped. the lady on the phone was very friendly and kind. when greg showed up, he was equally as nice and very courteous. he wore shoe covers, used drop sheets and was able to diagnose the problem right away. he offerred me several options to choose from which was great. i chose to power wash the drainline rather than snake it, because i had been dumping a lot of grease down the line and it would have been a re-occuring problem, had i just opted to snake it. he cleaned up the work area and left it smelling ilke a citrus orange smell. i am very impressed with priority plumbing. everything i have read about the high level service was true, and i would definiatley use them again.
the plumber from priority pluming was very friendly, courteous, and professional. the work he did was excellent and he was careful to completely clean up after he finished. i'd defiantly recommend priority plumbing.
on saturday, i discovered that my basement toilet was no longer draining. i called priority plumbing first thing monday morning and they came before noon to assess the situation. it turned out to be a fairly major issue, with the old clay drain pipe collapsed in several places. they had all the work finished by thursday, and left the place cleaner than it started. all the concrete is nicely finished, and they fixed a few unorthodox pieces of plumbing while they were in there.
the gentlemen from priority plumbing were polite, clean, and thorough. they provided me with detailed explanations of each need prior to commencing work so that i could make an informed choice at each stage.
i had priority plumbing come in to replace a sink and taps in my kitchen. they did the job without any fuss and were very kind. i was pleased with the price and happy with the work they did. i would use them again for sure!
i am renovating my bathroom and needed to move some plumbing pipes to accomidate the new design. mike came by and discussed whether or not my plans were do-able plumbing wise. after a quick look in the basement he determined that my goals were achievable. he went to his truck and worked out a price down to the penny which which seemed reasonable. the next day he came and did the work. it took him most of the day, he put down drop cloths, wore shoe covers, was very polite and courteous. the jobsite was left very clean and all of the garbage was taken away. over all i am very happy, there were no surprises or glitches. my home was respected and the over all experience was painless for a renovation. i would gladly refer priority plumbing and would use them again.
competent, informative, efficient plumber. exact dollar quote given before work started so there were no surprises. because the prep work was done so well, i was able to install the new bathroom vanity and faucet myself: something i had always shied away from in the past. all the work has held up without fail for eight months.
highly recommend this company, mathew was prompt, knowledgable and very competent also he was very respectful of the house and keeping a clean area around the work space, and the general area in and out
the service was very professional, the workers where very pleasant and they repaired the problem in a extremely fast manner to my . the work was done to my expectations. they also eexplained everything in detail with camera pictures of the before and after.
i called priority plumbing last week because my bathroom facuets were old, leaking and ugly. they called ahead which was great because i work a lot. the plumber had an assortment of taps in the truck and was able to get the job done quickly and professionally. he cleaned up rather well and overall i'm impressed with the service.
we highly recommend mathew w and priority plumbing and will be calling them back for future plumbing needs. mathew came to our home within 24 hours of calling to request servicing. he carefully listened to our needs, offered suggestions and alternatives and helped us prioritize our projects based on budget. we had a bathroom sink pipe and faucet replaced, a shower pipe fixed, and a basement utility sink and indoor/outdoor piping repaired within a timely manner. all while patiently answering my highly inquisitive and chatty 3 year old's many questions!!! best plumber ever-- would recommend mathew anytime.
i called priority plumbing late one night because i had raw sewage backing up into my basement. (gross). priority plumbing was the 2nd company i called after the first company didn't answer their phone. so much for 24 hour service.greg arrived less than an hour later. he was intelligent, polite and eager to help. i didn't get the feeling like he was trying to take advantage of me or my situation like i had somewhat expected. i guess you hear horror stories and hope for the best.he had all the gadgets and locators to identify my problem underground quickly and accurately. i've been to doctors who were less competent. i've also had other service guys in my home and know outstanding service when i see it.we ended up replacing a small section of drain pipe after he showed me for my own eyes with the camera and explained everything in great detail. he could have told me to replace the whole drain but he was honest and told me that i could wait a few more years.the price was not unreasonable at all. i was happy to get my problem fixed quickly and professionally. i really have to comment on the technician though. greg was a true gentleman, a professional and just a quality human being, rare in any profession.if you want great service, great people, honesty and peace of mind, call priority plumbing. i would gladly recommend this company to everyone. great job!we ended up replacing a small section of drain pipe after he showed me for my own eyes with the camera and explained everything in great detail. he could have told me to replace the whole drain but he was honest and told me that i could wait a few more years.the price was not unreasonable at all. i was happy to get my problem fixed quickly and proffesionally. i really have to comment on the technician though. greg was a true gentleman, a proffesional and just a quality human being, rare in any proffession.if you want great service, great people, honesty and peace of mind, call priority plumbing. i would gladly recommend this company to everyone. great job!
i just wanted to let you know that greg did an excellent job on all the plumbing work at my condo on yonge street. greg was very professional, worked well with the staff, understood all the condo rules, knew what needed to be done and performed the job in a very timely manner. i will be recommending priority plumbing to my friends.
we always use priority plumbing for all of our plumbing needs. we just moved into a new house and needed to replace the vanity, toilet and shower in the bathroom. we always ask for mike colaguori. he has become our family plumber over the years. he recommended which fixtures would fit best and gave me options to choose from. by the next day we had all ne fixtures in the bathroom and he even cleaned up. i highly recommend mike and priority plumbing for all plumbing requirements.
fast, efficient and effective service from kostis who came the same day as i called, permitting an on-going renovation to proceed in a timely way. very friendly and helpful. i'd recommend them happily to anyone.
the person told me that the pipe could not be changed and said the job could not be done from the lower floor. he said he had to take the toilet out and open a hole in the bathroom floor. i had not anticipated that and asked him to try to do it from underneath. he did it and said he could not guarantee the job was going to last and that it could leak any day...
i was away for a long weekend and came back with a leaking bath spout and required immediate repair. the repair technician arrived on time. he had a very professional manner. also explained things very clearly and easy to understand.would definitely recommend it to others.
i was at home with my two young children without my husband who manages our property when i received a call from a distraught tenant at who had a dangerous leak in their radiator. i couldnt get a hold of my husband and didnt even know if i should call a plumber or a heating specialist. i luckily remembered the name of the companypriority plumbing. they responded immediately and sprung into action - even though it was a saturday evening. they showed up and calmed everyone down with such experience, professionalism and knowledge that the problem was resolved quickly and everyone was able to return to enjoying their evening.i was so impressed and relieved that we had such a reliable and responsible company taking care of our needs now and in the future.thanks priority!!
i had had a good experience with priority in the past, so when our main water line broke we called them up. they did a great job...no complaints there. but they convinced us to sign up for their monthly protection program. then they harassed my husband with incessant phone calls at work (where he can't answer his phone). we have asked them to remove us from their program, but we are still being charged $8 a month. in short, their work is good - hire them for a single job, but stay away from the ongoing service program...
our furnace pump stopped working and we still needed heat. i called priority plumbing and they arrived first thing the following morning and installed a new pump within 2 hours.i knew the price of the pump and felt it was very expensive, but the job was well done and i feel the company is reliable.
they cancelled the initial appointment but promised a $20 discount on the rescheduled appointment. not only did i not get the $20 discount but the quote i got was outrageous.edit (after response): just to clarify, you did offer a $20 discount towards the potential installation, not towards the estimate, which is what was promised over the phone. as for your prices, $2,600 for a hot water tank, for which you had no details such as brand or energy efficiency, and its installation is outrageous. i purchased the best water heater from rona and had them install it for over $1000 less. finally, the only reason you are rated high, is that you provide gift certificates to people that do so, which is deceiving customers.
i called priority plumbing last week about my toilet. my daughter had dropped something down the toilet, and it was stuck.steven arrived within the hour to fix it! he was prompt and very polite. the price was little more than what i expected to pay, but steven made up for it by being so polite and explaining everything to me step by step. i even signed up for their membership. which means that even if i have to call them at 3am, they'll be there for me and i won't have to worry about paying their emergency after hours fee.the entire experience was great. i will definetly use them again.karen
i had been dealing with my tank refilling periodically (roughly every half hour) and thought i should be having it looked at to help save money on my water bill. kostis called and was able to arrive early; handled the whole service experience with professionalism and managed to finish earlier than i had expected. this was great news for me as i still then had time on my saturday to get some other things done.
very knowledgeable and personable service. the technician was friendly and did not leave a mess after the job was done. rusty valves and regulators were replaced. whole system was flushed. price and work needed done were transparent.
whenever i used the shower on the main floor of my bungalow, a pool of water formed on the laundry room floor in the basement. i called priority plumbing along with 2 other companies. priority plumbing was the most helpful and couteous and they also had the most affordable estimate. tony came to my house right away and had convenient times so i did not have to miss work. he provided 6 different cost options and i decided on the one that was most affordable for me. the work was completed within 3 days. excellent service. would use again without a doubt.
priority plumbing replaced our gaskets and hoses and fixed a leak in our upstairs bathroom. it was a good experience. trevor explained what he was doing and why. he was very respectful of our home.
i was referred to priority plumbing by a neighbor as it was finally time to replace some old leaky taps in my bathroom. i called around 9 am and by 11 am they had already arrived. their technician was really helpful taking the time to show me different options and what the job would entail. he had a very nice replacement set of taps with him, so he was able to complete the work promptly. i am extremely impressed by the competence and service of this company!
priority plumbing really has an excellent team. they recently replaced my main water line and worked outside in the cold for hours digging 10' down in the ground. very impressive. austin is also extremely professional and made sure i was aware of every step of the process. i knew the whole time i was in excellent hands. well done!
i called priority plumbing today because my bathtub was clogged and wasn't draining properly. greg arrived this morning on time, and was very professional. he even called when he was on his way so that i didn't have to wait next to the phone.turns out the bathtub was clogged with hair from our showers and baths, and he suggested putting a screen in the drain to collect all the hair so that the bathtub drain doesn't get clogged anymore.i thought it was a great idea and bought one from him.i will definietly call them again if i have any more plumbing problems.
we have given them some very difficult jobs. the show up on schedule and don't leave until they succeed. they are very thorough and tidy up before they leave. w highly recommend them.
priority plumbing was at our house last week within an hour of our call to help us with the pool forming in our basement!! they were professional quick and got everything 'moving' again!! great job!!
i have had a toilet that hasn't been working right for a while. i knew it was wasting water so i decided to get it fixed. i found priority plumbing on yahoo and scheduled service with them. kostis came to my house and repaired the toilet. it needed some parts and a good general looking over. everything went well and i would recommend priority plumbing.
i needed a faucet replaced in my kitchen sink. i called priority plumbing, which had been recommended to me by a friend. the polite and cheerful receptionist, carrie anne, gave me a prompt appointment, and the plumber who arrived was a polite, respectful, friendly man, kostis, who assisted me with another small problem - the proper installation of a flapper in the toilet tank (i had purchased it but could not get it into place by myself) then he did the faucet replacement for me. i asked about a backwater valve and he checked the route for that project as well and gave me the information i needed. he was very clean, tidy, clear in his explanations, cheerful, and helpful. i was very pleased with my service, and recommend this company highly.
matthew w is a consummate plumbing professional and provided friendly and expert service. i will definitely ask for him again. matthew explained in great detail what needed to be done.
just had a really terrific service experience from priority plumbing today! as i was going about my morning routine, my shower backed up and it was really gross. i called priority plumbing based on great reviews. the lady (allison) was so nice and friendly when i called. austin came over about on hour later. upon arrival, he had his own floor mat and literally gave me the `red carpet`treatment. about an hour later the job was done and all cleaned up nice. not just a quick pick up of the tools, i mean disinfected and shiny. i am really impressed with the professionalism of this company.
the service was quick and efficient. our toilet was older than we thought it was when we first moved into our home. after about 7 years living in our home, our toilet began having difficulty flushing, we called for help and it was a good decision.
we contacted a number of plumbing companies about upgrading our water service from lead to copper. priority was one of the more reasonable quotes, but also appeared to be the most reliable and capable. the work was completed quickly and efficiently and was for the exact amount quoted. the crew who performed the work were polite, did good work, and cleaned everything up when they were done.
Best plumbing experience ever. My kids even invited them back for dinner and were sad to see them go. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was done right and the way we wanted. Amazing
we requested a service call when our hot water tank supply had sprung a leak from a poorly soldered connection (previously done by another plumber). a plumber was able to come within 24 hours (we shut off the supply valve until then) and he was courteous and fast in completing the job. though it was a minor repair it was handled as though it was urgent, especially since it was over the holidays. great service, overall.
i had been dealing with a broken shower for over a year. two guys had tried to fix it, with zero result. i finally called priority plumbing, following a recommendation from a friend and they did a superb job. very professional, all in one visit (they come with a truck filled with parts) and the problem was completely solved. i was extremely happy with the results and the service.
kosta arrived when io was told he would. he wore plastic slippers over his shoes to protect my floors (as he said, to honour the home). he did a very neat and complete job. i was com.pletely satisfied
used twice. fantastic company! problem the second time was under warranty. always punctual, great price and just kind people. the second time we used them, the plumber could not have been more informative. they always make sure to tell you exactly what they are doing and how much it will cost.
i wanted to take a moment to give priority pluming a great review! they were so helpful in fixing our issue...they came quickly, fixed the problem 100%, and at the lowest possible cost they could do. thanks priority plumbing!
i have had many problems with defected sump pumps and backing up of water in my cold cellar. three different contractors tried to solve problem unsuccessfully. i searched the web and came across priority plumbing who come out the next day, assessed the problem and was able to solve my issues in a very professional and friendly manner. they provided me with different options and even the convenience of future upgrades. angelo was prompt, very knowledgeable and worked in a very neat manner. i am completely satisfied and would highly recommend priority plumbing with pleasure.
it was a pleasure using priority plumbing - they are excellent at communicating services, arrival times, and going a step beyond normal service. thank you for providing good service to torontonians.
my kitchen faucet was loose. i called before 9 am and was advised that the technician would be there between 11 and 2. kostis was here shortly after 10 am and replaced both the kitchen faucet and one in my bathroom after providing me with numerous alternatives.kostis was very pleasant, respectful, thoroughly competent and efficient. i would highly recommend this company to my friends and family.it is wonderful dealing with a company that delivers on its promises.
i was referred to priority plumbing by a neigbor who used them several times in the past. as always i did my research and checked out their website which looked professional and had lots of testimonials and displayed the award they have won for best plumbing company. i also checked out homestars and read some of the reviews. i was kind of hesitant to call them because of some of the negative reviews i read, but i guess since it was a referral i decided to go ahead with it. jennifer was very polite and professional on the phone and they came within 1 hour. mike arrived showed i.d. and was super courteous and professional. h he looked around to diagnose the problem and was very thorough in his explanation of the work needed to be done and the costs involved, which were not unreasonable like some of the stories i read on homestars. the job was completed around 3 hours later. he had to cut a hole in my ceiling and fix a leaking water pipe that turns out the previous plumber did not instal properly. he wore booties and put down drop cloths. when he was finished, he left the room very clean. he was not sloppy and rushing like other workers we've had in the past. i really don't know why anyone would have a problem with priority plumbing. i would recomend them without hesitation and hopefully won't need to use them again but i will if i ever need a plumber.
i requested service from priority plumbing and someone was at my house within 2 hours. the work was so professional and well done and i what i liked the most is that they work with your budget giving you the best options for what is better for you.
Greg came to help us after the city did some work on our street and gravel unexpectedly got into our water line and gummed up all our faucets and valves. Greg spent the entire day working at our house. He was knowledgeable, friendly, hard working, and stayed until the job was done. Everything's working just fine now and we are so thankful that we called Priority Plumbing. It was quite possibly the best customer service experience I've had. Thanks Greg and team.
i have used priority plumbing once and they have a follow up service and were coming to do an annual check up of my plumbing. the company was very flexible with setting up a time for this visit and worked with my schedule. the plumber, angelo, arrived at the specified time and put on booties to come into my home. while conducting the checkup angelo noticed that the pipes under my sink in both bathrooms were corroded. he suggested that they be replaced. i agreed and he did it on the spot and it was a good thing because those pipes were an accident waiting to happen. now i have nice new pipes that will last me for a long time. angelo, was very polite, knew his job and kept me informed about what he was doing. he also did a good job of keeping his work area clean. i was very impressed with the work.
i called priority plumbing this morning because my shower would not turn off.greg arrived within 2 hours of my call and was very courteous and professional.he was honest and explained that the cartridge could be replaced, but since it was so old and corroded, i opted to replace it. he had a selection to choose from and over all i am very impressed with his professionalism. within a few hours, my shower was fixed. thank you, greg and priority plumbing.
i phoned priority plumbing at 8:45 am this monday morning, and talked to a very patient and sympathetic customer service agent. she assured me that a plumber is available this morning to diagnose my wet basement problem within one & half hour. greg and his assistant kyle were at my door in 25 minutes!they put on their protective booties and proceeded to the basement. greg gave my husband & i his diagnosis in a clear, direct manner, and presented us with possible options and solutions to the problem. we both found greg to be very knowledgeable, his manner very pleasant and reassuring to 2 stressed-out senior homeowners. they spent nearly 4 hours at our home and we can honestly say that we are very impressed with their professionalism and friendly service. moreover, theirfees are very reasonable.
i have used priority plumbing in the past and will contiue to use them in the future the best company i have ever dealt with professionalism at its best thank you
plumber came the same day i called for serviceand fixed the problem quickly and efficiently. heexplained all my options before starting. he wascareful to lay down carpet before entering my home.
priority plumbing responded in a very timely manner. the plumber, kostis, was very courteous, and efficient. i would have no hesitation in recommending this company in the highest possible terms.
quick, knowledgeable, friendly service from greg. as an added bonus, he took extra time to explain how the water system worked at our house (we recently moved into an older house). great experience all around.
just had greg in my house to look at my plumbing issues. he was great. i had been dreading having a plumber in because of the horror stories you hear about people being gouged for lots of money. he was just the opposite. he came in, heard my problem, checked it out and described what the issue was. better yet he didn't pressure me into anything.will i call you again when i have other problems - you better believe it. totally satisfied. thank you!
priority plumbing is the company to use. when dealing with plumbing a lot of unknown things can happen which can change the scope and cost of the job. thats what happened to me and i'm glad i had the experience and knowledge of the guys at priority plumbing to help me navigate through such a difficult time.
i called priority plumbing this morning, because i woke up to discover i had no water in the house. steven arrived within the appointed time and was very friendly and professional. within an hour i had running water again.i even signed up for their service partner plan, which entitles me to, among other things, front of the line service should this ever happen again.thank you, steven and priority plumbing.
adam t arrived on-time, was extremely professional and began work after a careful and well-explained assessment and review of options . he took exceptional care with his work, showing a high degree of technical ability and resourcefulness in dealing unexpected problems, especially important with an old house like ours. priority plumbing seems to send out their plumbers with materials on the truck so the work can start immediately. adam promised to return on day 2 and did so, again arriving on time. there is an obvious commitment to excellence shown by adam t and priority plumbing in general. we will not hesitate to call on them again for our next plumbing job.
our 62 year old home has 62 year old clay pipe running out to the street. greg from priority plumbing was the only person (we had 5) who came to give an estimate who took the time to actually look in the pipe, with the camera snake. greg clearly explained our options and gave a quote with no small print of charging more should something happen. well it did, our cabinet in the basement was immobile so instead of demolishing the cabinet he said they would go the more expensive route at no extra cost. fantastic. the crew were very courteous, non-smoking, professionals. there was absolutely no mess inside or out for me to clean up. they even replanted the plants they had to remove to dig. top it off, the brought there own bags of topsoil and replanted the grass. i am keeping there work sign out front as long as they want. i am sure they will get more business in my area from the excellent job done.without hesitation priority plumbing was the best choice, if you read this you must at least give them a chance to quote your job. you will be as happy as i am when the job is done.
my toilet was in need of assessment and repair so i contacted priority plumbing following a google search. kyle was dispatched to my apartment, and from the moment he started the job it was clear that priority plumbing deserves the high ratings it enjoys at various rating sites. the job was done quickly, efficiently, and in a professional manner. but most importantly, it was done right. i will recommend kyle and priority plumbing in the future.
greg helped me understand my options and the scope of work that needed to be done. i probably have another big job ahead of me and will likely use them again once i decide which option to proceed with.
kostis was efficient, courteous and provided a thorough overview of the job and cost. we were very satisfied with the work. our sump pump died in the last storm and we were afraid of a flooded basement if we didn't get help fast. thanks for your hard work!
i had virtually no water pressure and couldn't figure out what the problem was. i found priority plumbing's website and decided to give them a try. they sent mike, who was exceptionally prompt and very polite and considerate. he went through the house and identified an aging main water valve as the likely problem. i had to schedule a time for the city to shut off the water a couple of days later, when i could be at home. jennifer, in the pp office, called to make sure i remembered to call the city at 7:30 am; mike came within 45 minutes after i called pp to let them know the city technician had shut the water off. it later turned out that there may have been a simpler explanation for the lack of water pressure (some mystery valves to the water lines, which mike discovered deep in a basement closet), but my intuition is that the main valve was the root problem. the job wasn't cheap, but the water pressure is terrific now and i have great confidence in the company and esp. in mike and jennifer. terrific job!
i was amazed by kostis' tenacity in diagnosing the problem (even though he was clearly not feeling well that day). and i was particularly impressed that in the end, i was not charged a penny, as the problem resulted from faulty installation by someone who is no longer with the company. i appreciated that the company accepted responsibility and made it right. that kind of integrity is all too rare these days.
this company exceeded my expectations, they were professional and they gave me the best possible advice to not only save me money, but to do it right the first time so i wont run into problems in the near future. would def refer to friends and family
i have used this company on numerous occasions for different required plumbing services. i have never been disappointed. the service staff are courteous, professional and extremely helpful. their office staff are understanding of the urgency of certain situations. i highly recommend this company. i was faced. as most during e cold freeze - of frozen pipes. living in an 1892 victorian home, i was terrified of a potential burst pipe !!!!! they were quick and efficient and took the time to consult with me on how to address a potential ongoing issue and god forbid - disaster !! much praise.
received service that was prompt and far beyond the call of duty in terms of un-clogging a basement drain. we also got help with other things, all included in the price. we are super impressed with the excellent service and will call them for all our needs. they really know what they are doing, and go far beyond the call of duty to assist us as new home owners.
i called priority plumbing yesterday in the hopes of having my old style shower faucets replaced. i had heard that not many companies make the 3 hole style any more, and that they were very hard to find. greg arrived on time and was very professional and courteous. he was prepared with pictures of various 3 hole faucets and showed me one that was exactly what i wanted. the faucets took a couple of days to order through their supplier, but by the end of the week i had my new faucets installed. i would recommend greg & priority plumbing for going the extra mile and giving the customer exactly what they want.
i called priority plumbing yesterday because one of my basement pipes burst overnight and i woke up to a minor flood. steven arrived within the hour, and was very knowledgeable and professional. he had the pipe repaired within a few hours and even mopped up all the water from our basement floor. i was very impressed with both steven and priority plumbing and will be using their services in the future if required.
these guys were good they give a well-defined appointment time so you don't have to wait around all day and explain what options you have and aren't pushy with sales, cost was a little more than i had hoped for but you get what you pay for and i'm happy with their work and service, would definetly call them again.
don't believe multitude of glowing reviews. before even diagnosing the problem, the service technician was already trying to up-sell me, as well as wanting to replace my kitchen faucet. they quoted me $298+tax (+$56.49 for the service call) to run a drain snake. outrageous. still had to pay the $56.49 to get him to leave. got a referral from a friend and took care of the issue for $120, (tax in) from another reputable company listed here on homestars. priority plumbing is very courteous, but i'm not sure overcharging and up-selling qualify as "professional".
my drain was plugged and was backing up. the problem was solved in a quick manner. i received a detailed explanation of the problem and things to watch for in the future.very professional service.
i had a water leak behind my wall. it wasn't leaking a lot but over time it was causing problems. i found priority plumbing online and scheduled a service call. greg came out and figured out where the leak was. he was able to fix it and i am appreciative.
i called priority plumbing yesterday to have them hook up my new dishwasher. steve arrived on time and was very courteous and professional. within a couple of hours he had my new dishwasher up and running. i would recommend steven and priority plumbing to my family and friends for all their plumbing needs.
i`ve been thinking about getting a sub pump installed in my home for some time. after talking with a friend she recommended i call priority plumbing. everyone was so friendly and they installed the sub pump quickly, efficiently and they left no mess behind. i`m glad i finally have my sub pump installed and i will definitely call priority plumbing in the future.
i had been putting off calling a plumbing company about my leaking toilet, but today i decided to take care of it after receiving my current water bill. i called priority plumbing and was told that steven would be able to take care of it for me today. steven arrived on time, and even wore booties to protect my floor.i thought that my toilet could be repaired, but in the end steven explained to me that it would be cheaper in the long run for me to replace the toilet with a more water efficient one. he even told me that i would be eligible to receive a $60 rebate from the city of toronto. i thought that was great! the whole thing took about 4 hours and now i don't have to worry about high water bills anymore! i will definetly recommend them to all my friends and associates.
i called priority plumbing yesterday because i dropped my wedding ring down the bathroom sink. steve arrived on time and was very professional about the whole thing.he rescued my ring within 15 minutes flat. i was very impressed.my husband and i both thank you. we will definitely call priority plumbing again if we need them again.
prompt service, and very honest about what was needed and offered options and different price points. they come when they say they will and do not overcharge for services. the service person also cleaned up his mess.
priority plumbing was dispatched to my condo at 9 pm to fix a plugged toilet. the call was $159 flat. upon arrival, the priority plumbing technician quoted a staggering $843 to fix the problem using a snake. i had no choice but to proceed as my neighbour below was complaining that water was dripping into his unit, and i was 1,400 miles away and unable to assess the situation myself. within 90 minutes the problem was fixed, and priority plumbing banked a grand.a grand to fix a toilet in an emergency. a poll of my friends ("how much would you expect to pay for...") revealed that almost everyone viewed this amount as excessive.a follow-up call with priority plumbing to complain about the price proved fruitless. they claim that their up-front quote is what it is, and that i agreed to it (which is true, but the circumstances were such that i had no option).lesson: keep a list of reasonably priced emergency service people on hand, so as to avoid outlandishly expensive charges levied under duress (such as this one from priority plumbing).
i called priority plumbing today because i noticed that one of the overhead pipes in my basement was leaking. greg showed up on time and was very polite and knowledgeable. he managed to repair the pipe the same day, and even cleaned up after himself.i would recommend greg and priority plumbing to all my friends and family.
great service, great presentation. the plumber, giacomo. was very pleasant, very professional and got the job done very quickly. we will certainly use them again and would have no hesitation to recommend them to others.
i have used priority plumbing in the past and always come back because of the great service they provide. i appreciate that they always provide a range of cost options for the solution they recommend.
my toitlet was broken so i called priority plumbing and they came to assess and fix the problem right away. it`s working very well now and i am very happy. i would use them again.
we needed a new garberator installed and a leak fixed to basement bathroom water tap. priority plumbing was amazing from the booking to the actual completion of the work. trevor showed up on time and completed the work quickly and well and very clean . from the way he treated our home with utmost respect to way he reviewed everything he was going to do to the way he treated our dogs and they treated him like family (this is rare) we could not be happier.
i had a leak in my old kitchen drain pipe in the basement so i called priority. mike came out a few hours later and assessed the situation. he offered to repair or replace it and gave me all of my options and pricing upfront. i felt in control the entire time and was able to make the decision that suited me which was to replace the entire pipe, since it was old and would probably need repairing again. i also decided to replace the kitchen tap while he was here, as it was old and stiff. he was able to do the work right away and had all of the parts and tools with him in the truck. i am satisfied with the work and the price for the service provided. mike was very polite and careful while working in my home. i would recommend them and use them again in the future.
i am very thankful to priority plumbing for the terrific job they've done on the replacement of my faucet. i thought i would have to break the shower wall down to have the taps changed. priority plumbing was able to do the work efficiently, and was excellent in containing any dust to the immediate work area. we are very happy with the look and operation of the new shower faucet and we didnt have to make any repairs to the wall or tiles. besides the professional appearance and attitude of greg, the work was done to our 100% satisfaction the first time. he covered our new carpets with his own clean tarps and truly gave us excellent service.it became even clearer once the work began, that he was a highly skilled plumbing technician. the choice i made to call priority plumbing out of all the other plumbing companies, had a bit of luck involved. i was in an emergency situation as the hot water was literally gushing ouy of the shower taps and we had to turn the main water to the building off. i had used another plumbing company in the past but wasn't satisfied with their service to say the least. so i went online and found the priority plumbing website. the customer testimonials on their website is what prompted me to call. that is why it is with great pleasure to write this letter for priority plumbing, a company that takes pride in their work and quality of service.
priority plumbing did a great job replacing my old toilet with a new one. the work was done quickly and professionally. i would have them back to do more work anytime.
my sink has been clogging for the last few months. i have tried fixing it myself many times but the problem kept coming back. i finally decided to call a plumber and was recommended priority plumbing. they came quickly, snaked the drain and i have not had the issue again. i am extremely pleased with their service.
i am very happy with all the services that i received so far from priority plumbing. trevor was excellent, he explained things really well and made sure that all was fixed. even though there were a lot of issues with my old house. i also feel that i have a guarantee, piece of mind that it was done right. if anyone has complicated issues, trevor is your guy.
we just had our toilet, sink, and 2 sets of faucets replaced in our bathroom. my husband and i decided to go out and purchase our own since we wanted a certain style to match the rest of the bathroom. greg was very professional and helpful in the decision making process and spent quite a bit of time offering us advice on where to purchase and what to watch out for. he probably 2 hours or so without any additional charges. he cam back a week later and installed all of our fixtures and was very careful when working in our house using drop cloths and shoe covers. i have to say that he was very nice and pleasant to have in our home. the whole experience was just great.
tony was extremely professional and friendly and took the time to explain the necessary process to me so that i could understand. he went over and above to get the issue resolved and always kept a positive attitude.
i called priority plumbing and first spoke with felicity, who was extremely friendly and was able to send over technicians within an hour. she also gave me a heads up phone call when they were close by, which was very helpful. the two technicians, kyle and greg, were absolutely wonderful. kyle did an initial assessment, and provided recommendations on potential other service work, giving me various options. kyle and greg did a great job not only installing a new faucet, but replacing my water valves. they were both very knowledgeable, explaining everything in detail, and showed me how to use the valves. they were very friendly and sociable as well. overall a great experience, i would recommend them and priority plumbing to anyone.
i had a pipe burst on the main floor that was leaking into the basement. i was lucky that it was contained, but we still had to turn off our water at the source. and with the crazy winter, it was hard to find a plumber.other companies were booked up for 2 days, but greg form priority plumbing came the same day, and even called a 1/2 hour before his arrival to let me know he was on his way. that might not seem like a big deal, but i find service people rarely follow through on this commitment.anyway, greg quickly determined the problem and provided me with a few options, and had it all fixed up shortly afterwards. he was able to reach the problem from the basement, saving me having to cut holes in any walls upstairs, as well as considerable expense.i also opted to become a service partner. the plan more or less paid for itself, and gives discounted work and includes a video sewer inspection in the future. i plan on installing a backwater valve this spring, so for me it seemed like a pretty good investment.it wasn't cheap, but i feel very confident about the company and the work that greg performed.
we had blockages in our sewer system due to the roots from the trees penetrating the old clay pipes and had lead pipes for our water service, which our neighbours did as well. when they decided to repair theirs, we did as well and used priority plumbing to get the job done. mike and his crew not only explained exactly what the problem was, but what they were doing to fix it at each step of the way. we had no surprises about the work, and the price was exactly what they quoted us. the best part is, that the cleanup was fantastic, and everything was put back in the front yard (less the plants, which i had time to remove) exactly the way it was. mike and the team were friendly, professional and did a fantastic job! so good in fact, that they will be starting on replacing the clay pipes in our basement! they are highly recommended!
i took advantage of a city of toronto incentive on low flush toilets.the city of toronto was offering a 60$ discount per toilet. i hired priority plumbing to replace 3 toilets for more efficient models.
at the start of the shower tower installation, l thought oh no what am l into. but excellent work clean and efficient. now the shower id to die for.patrick toronto
greg came to investigate a backup in the basement bathroom and laundry. he snaked the main and bathroom drains and found the issue in the basement shower. i signed up for a protection plan not knowing what was in the future. about 3 weeks later, the city of toronto came out and investigated on main drain and found a blockage at the other end of the basement leading to the sewer. they found tree roots had penetrated the clay drain and caused a blockage. within hours of calling priority plumbing again, greg came back, assessed our situation and made 3 recommendations for our consideration. we made our choice and within 36 hours, the drain had been replaced, a backwater valve was installed, a permit was obtained, inspector had been to the house and priority had come back to finish the concrete. all employees i encountered including the receptionists that answered my calls were professional and did a good job. the work and cost was always explained to me and i knew what to expect. priority did their best to work around my schedule. the protection plan immediately saved me money and i should get more back with the city of toronto's rebate for the backwater valve. thanks priority plumbing!
excellent, professional and courteous service. made a bad situation much better. would highly recommend to friends and family. plumber suggested options and tried lower cost solutions first. great service. cleaned up after himself very thoroughly as well.
fantastic service right from the phone call to the installation. quick service arrived on time, installer whas incredibly nice and curtious.absolutely great experience. i would recommend this company any time
this is a great plumbing company. courteous, tidy and punctual. they take the time to really solve your issue and they make sure the job is done right! they are not the least expensive but you can be sure that they are doing everything up to the highest standards.
i called priority plumbing today because my bathroom sink wasnt draining properly. mike arrived and was very polite. he quickly discovered wads of hair in the piping. after snaking the drain, it now drains fine. he was professional enough to ask me questions about my plumbing that reminded me of another issue with the downstairs toilet, so i had him fix that two. he was very helpful, kind and professional. i recommend priority plumbing to anyone who needs an honest and reliable plumber.
at the end of last year we had some plumbing work at our place of business that needed to be done and we called priority plumbing. at the time, i was unhappy with the price and quality of the work and i complained here and to management there. we could not resolve the disagreement at that time.more recently the owner austin took time to write me and ask if i was open to getting things resolved. coincidentally, i was having another problem, this time in my home. i invited austin to come out and make the repair, but without charge. he was quick to accept the opportunity to change my perception of his company and he helped set up an appointment. one of his team arrived at my door. he was polite, professional and took time to fix the issue and test that it was working properly. while he was there, i asked him about another issue and he was glad to look into it. 10 out of 10 on his work and professionalism. austin then asked if he could send another of his team out to inspect the work done at our business and make any repairs necessary. i agreed and another very professional and competent plumber visited us that same day and made a repair to the work that was previously done. he too gets a 10 out of 10 for his work and professionalism. austin has made a believer out of me about priority plumbing, him and his people. thumbs up and thank you austin!
my shower was leaking badly so i called priority plumbing. their plumber greg was very professional. he explained various options of faucets with pictures to choose from. he also discovered 2 leaking shut off valves under the vanity and that the main shut off valve in my basement was ceased. i decided to go ahead and have all the work done while he was here. within the day all of my plumbing issues had been resolved and he cleaned up very well. i must say that he was very careful while working in my house.i would recommend priority plumbing and greg to anyone who wants their plumbing issues resolved quickly and professionally.
our main floor ceiling kept leaking for more than a month and we didn't know what was causing it. trevor came by on time and was very insightful and professional. amazing customer service - we signed up for their one year service plan as well. would definitely recommend.
no wonder all the latest reviews have been so good: they give you up to $20 in gift certificated if you give them good reviews. not illegal, but a good indicator of how this company does businessthe good things:- they came the same day i called which was great- giacomo was nice enough, i can't blame him for being put in a position to upsell customers and have them feel ripped off- i ended up with the best solution for now (having the drain cleaned by snake and having had the camera in to know that 30 years ago, somebody connected the toilet drain to a floor drain with a trap). a better permanent solution would cost way more and i decided not to do that right now.- giacomo re-installed my toilet, which initially he wanted to charge me for but in the end he did it 'to help me out', which i appreciate i guess.the bad:- i called them because they adevertise drain clearing for $99. when the guy was at my place he explained i first had to pay for a camera inspection worth $300. after reading the website a couple of times again, that is a possible interpretation, but is not clear when you read it first and is in my mind false advertising. too bad the plumbers are put in a position where they have to explain this.- when i heard the actual cost ($410 plus tax) i said i wanted to think about it, after which he immediately knocked $100 off the price!! this was after explaining to me the "pricebook" so you always know what something "really" costs. again, false advertising. always negotiate- after this i got the feeling (maybe that's just me) that giacomo tried to get out of my house as soon as possible, he gave me the feeling that because i did not chose the most expensive option (which he had given me before inspecting hardly anything: $4000 to replace a trap outside the house) he wouldn't be able to fix my problem anyway and was just doing what i asked them. i was still, however, paying him $300 and would expect him to give me at least the feeling that he is doing everything he can to fix my problem.as i said, i don't think i got a lot worse off than when i would have called a different plumbing company, but i just feel ripped off. the only reason i agreed to them doing the work (after knocking off $100 just like that!) was because they came fast and i wanted this result, which i guess they can credit to their false advertising, that's what got them in my door.all in all, i had mixed feelings when the job was done. what made me feel ripped off was when they gave me the certificate to get up to $20 in gift certificate if i would write good reviews about them, that just pisses me off!
we called priority plumbing to fix our hot water tank. we weren't getting hot water, more like luke warm and then cold water. when they came to the house the worker was polite and said our dip tube needed repair. he quoted~$400 for the dip tube and other quotes for replacement tanks with and without membership. we had never dealt with fixing a hot water tank and were in desperate need of hot water so we agreed with just the replacement of the dip tube. they required a 30% deposit plus the $50 inspection fee. there was no negotiating for the deposit. the next day when the worker came it took him 35 min to replace the dip tube with a bill that ended up being $570!!!!! when i called the main office to see if they could break down the price for me, they explained that they couldn't and that it was a fixed price that the head office gives them. the person i spoke to explained that it was an average price of how much it would cost for any job of that kind.irregardless of the time it takes to fix. with however many years of experience, that's the price that they came up with taking into consideration labour and supplies. that was the only excuse they could give me.are you kidding me?? i'm pretty sure there's no plumbing company out there that would charge $570 for 35 min of work and a 50cm pipe. i will never use priority plumbing again and will definitely tell everyone i know of the service and ridiculously outrageous pricing that they charge. i can't believe they can charge these prices and somehow feel that it's justified.
i called priority plumbing, after receiving a card in the mail, for a clogged drain in our apartment. greg came, although a day late due to heavy rains that caused floods, and did a great job in assessing and fixing the clog. my review is lower than greg deserves due to the pricing. for what was a total of one hour on site, paying over $400 seems much too high, and i will look for a different company next time.
our very old toilet had sprung a leak between the tank and the bowl. my options were very limited. i was really impressed with the entire experience. they were prompt, they kept me very well informed of the steps, risks, costs, and options. they were not sure if they could even find the parts. but they found them, and were able to complete the very delicate work. the parts and labour weren't cheap, but i have nothing but good things to say about the entire experience. it was a truly professional experience. kudos to kostis. he represented his company and himself with class and skill. many thanks.
it's been 2 years since our nightmare with priority, and it scares me to know that they are still in business.we approached 4 plumbing companies to do a full job on a home reno - plumbing and new rad lines. priority quoted us 10k, was friendly and seemingly knowledgeable.they started soon afterwards using flexpipe (recommended as a cost effective solution) for the rad lines. that day i was a little troubled when i found the guy was reading what looked to me like a plumbing instruction booklet. when i went in the house, i was shocked to notice they had drilled a hole so big in a 2x10 ceiling joist that it had to be replaced. i called the office and they said that the employee that cut the hole was no longer with them. also turns out that the guy reading the instructions didn't know what he was doing either! i was told that he too was no longer with the company. finally a third guy, while soldering, melted our electrical to the stove. and said nothing about it! we noticed it and called the office.... once again, the employee is no longer working for priority.the 1 month job turned into 3... in the end, they had to call in their dad [company name removed - ed] - seriously! - and have him and his guys come to the house and fix the mess they made. at this point, they were very apologetic, helpful and willing to fix all the mistakes they made - we would only be charged material costs. (ps: i would recommend [company name removed--ed] if they were not related.) however they tried to charge us another 18k!!!! we refused, asked them to send us a detailed materials list - they did, and that's when we noticed that they were charging us a markup that would make you laugh. we went to nobletrade(their suppliers) and were quoted 4k in materials. priority told us they can charge whatever they want to charge for the price of a 10 cent washer.in the end, we resolved the matter by paying the 10k quote + the additional 4k in supplies + a meeting with our lawyer and seemlingly they were happy with that.read the negative reviews to get a sense of what kind of company they are. logically it's the only reviews you can trust.
Mathew and Brandon were very knowledgeable and provided me with an assessment and recommendations to address a slow flowing drain. Will certainly use them in the future for any plumbing requirements.
i have nothing good to say about this company and their plumbers. i've paid a significant amount of money for terrible service. the last plumber that came to clear my drain charged over $100 and left it as bad as he found it. we phoned the city and they cleared it completely - for free.
priority plumbing exceeded my expectations for customer relations and prompt service. two days before christmas my main line backed-up flooding my basement. priority plumber mike colaguori and their construction team, lead by vitali, dug-up and replaced my root compromised pipes. mike and vitali did a fantastic, professional job. working on christmas eve, christmas day and following-up on boxing day the priority plumbing team resolved my plumbing tragedy over the holidays effectively and professionally. i would strongly recommend priority plumbing for any drainage issue.
michael was on time, very courteous, efficient, clear, and personable. he gave me three different options and his recommendation on what would be best given the circumstances. he gave me the price up front, fixed the problem, and kept to the price in the end. i would recommend priority plumming. their service is excellent from the first phone call to the final follow-up call to ask about your satisfaction of the job.
they were prompt, same day service as a new customer i would recommend them to others.the work was done cleanly and efficiently, the technician that was knowledgeable and offered 3 solutions to select from.
we were recommended priority plumbing a few years ago, and i have been satisfied with the service that we received ..every time!!!! that we have used them, fixing or upgrading taps, sinks toilets ..everything that has to do with water.. priority fixes it !!and what i like most about priority is that the price that is quoted to you..is , in fact the final price !! whether they are there for 2 hours or 5
called to fix a leaking kitchen faucet. they were able to come the same day and did a thorough check of all plumbing. discovered several potential problems and recommended several alternatives. after discussion and selecting the optimum solution they did a thoroughly workmanlike job, cleaning up afterwards.
the plumbing technican, kostis was polite, professional and knowledgable - he explained the costs up front - was neat - he completed the task efficiently - we were very satisfied with his work and the results.
my drains were backing up in my garage so i called priority plumbing. greg came out and was informative. he proposed two different options to fix the problem and i was not pressured in any way. we decided to power wash the drains and everything works fine now. i would use priority plumbing again if i ever require plumbing services in the future.
o ring broken... tony fixed the rings and installed faucets to minimize the damage if this happens again. pleased with service and they were able to help me on the same day (sunday!!)
greg was incredibly professional and skilled. a good teacher to his apprentice as well. i was very satisfied with the courteous and respectful service and the explanation of the completed work
greg was extremely helpful and knowledgable. on top of that, he was one of the nicest around. took the time to explain everything and offer suggestions on unrelated issues. very pleased. he will be my 'go to' guy.
priority plumbing were responsive, prompt, informative and helpful. the plumber sent was friendly and respectful. i appreciated all aspects of their service, from the initial phone consultation to the service that was provided by the plumber. i would definitely recommend this company for any future plumbing needs.
the 311 guy couldnt help with the floor drain in the basement that was suddenly spewing horrors with every flush / shower / whatever, he mentioned the priority plumbing ad hed seen - clear the drain for $99 - so i called. expected the usual runaround (that you get seemingly everywhere) that would push the bill wayyy up, but that didnt happen. greg showed up professional, courteous, couldnt have been nicer and he brought the snake-contraption in, cleared the blockage and charged me $99 plus tax (112.99), packed his stuff up, shook my hand and said goodbye with a smile. i cant say enough good things about this company. the. best.
very professional service from reception to technician. very high technical expertise. came almost immediately during an emergency sewer backup situation caused by tree root damage. they kept all their appointments, met all their schedules and estimated time of completion of work. consulted with me the home owner on each step and approach to the work. made themselves available during the weekend (sat and sun) for consultation. communicated clearly all aspects of work and answered questions i had. i would highly recommend them and use them in the future.
priority plumbing is all about customer service. i have had them do work for me a number of times; everyone i've dealt with has been punctual, courteous and professional. these are folks you can trust!
garburator went on the fritz last saturday morning after i had dumped an entire bowl of vegetable soup down it! called priority and spoke to a very polite, upbeat fellow who assured me a plumber would be at my door between 8 and 11 on monday morning. at 7:45 a.m. the phone rang, it was greg who would be there to solve my problem in 15 minutes. he looked at the problem, explained my options, told me what he was going to do and then did it! quickly, efficiently, to meet my time schedule and very neatly. was very pleased with the service and also the fact he's a hockey fan and player! thanks priority i will definitely recommend you to my neighbours! sandra.
we had a new laundry sink installed and a leak fixed to our outside water tap. priority plumbing was amazing from the booking to the actual completion of the work. greg showed up on time and completed the work quickly and well.it is a little expensive compared to other quotes i recieved but the quality of the work and the company surpassed others.thanks
i called priority plumbing yesterday because i discovered that my outdoor faucet had burst. greg arrived on time and was very polite and professional. he explained to me that i could replace my current outdoor faucet with a frost free one, so i wouldnt have to worry about bursting in cold weather. i agreed to install the frost free faucet, and greg installed it the same day. he also discovered a leak under the bathroom sink that i had never noticed and i had him fix that too.i would recommend using priority plumbing to anyone who is looking for a courteous and professional plumbing company.
greg came to install the vanity unit. to do the plumbing and put the base 'in situ' followed by the faucets and then the top.the unit came with wooden 'feet', which he did not discover till after he'd done the plumbing, by which time it was too late, unless he undid all the work he'd just done.he 'hid' the feet in the 2nd drawer. i know this because in my glee i'd been into the bathroom several times before he came back to install it properly-(we had to have official condo people turning off the water which did waste more time) just to 'finally' enjoy having a real vanity in there.i checked each drawer, as one does just for the pleasure of them sliding in and out. a middle aged woman 'thing'- if you will.naturally all drawers are empty as they should be.he comes the next day and finishes installing. at this point in my excitement i had forgotten about the feet being part of it but stubbing my feet on the base very soon reminded me and finding a 'lump' in the 2nd drawer, cleverly hidden from the top view, (one could see into the top drawers before the top went on which is why he put these 'feet' in late, when he unpacked them late>if he had unpacked everything first, we wouldn't be in this position. i was asked if i'd given them a picture! these plumbers are not in kindergarden! if one unpacks all one finds everything before one starts. and to add insult to injury 'justin' at the office said he would 'believe my plumber over you' and greg had also put up 2 towel rails that have both since come down, in the last week, and they've only been up 4-5 weeks in the first place. and they are trying to charge an extra $500 for rectifying greg's own blunder and pass the buck to us. $500 because he discovered something late! we don't have $500 to go towards that! and whilst we get no response lately we're still stubbing our feet and have paid $1500 for someone not to check everything out first!thank you.
i accidentally dropped my wedding ring in the toilet bowl and was panic stricken. i called priority plumbing and got a very sympathetic agent on the line who scheduled a plumber to drop by this morning. although a bit late due to another project taking longer than expected, when costas arrived, he was pleasant, efficient, and thorough. a pleasure to deal with. and he got my ring back! i'd gladly recommend priority plumbing to anyone.
about to head out the door on vacation and notice my kitchen roof is about to collapse. my toilet was leaking all night. try finding a plumber on a saturday morning that can come and get the job done now! thanks priority plumbing for your prompt and professional service.
priority plumbing is an alleged top choice award winner 5 years running. their rep was polite, seemed knowledgeable and showed me my options. i signed an agreement for the install of a new outdoor pipe at a cost of $627.00 including tax under the impression that a leak had to first be located, drywall would have to be cut and that it would be a lengthy process. after i'd signed, i was told that the work would take about an hour and a half. the plumber remarked in advance that the pipe had been bent from outside by waterproofers so i'm guessing he may have surmised the leak was at the bend which i later learned was the case. bottom line, he didn't have to cut drywall to locate the leak and solder, or drill through the exterior wall to install the new pipe and tap. although he was at the house for 3 hours the actual work took less than 1.5 hours. although i was thrilled i didn't have to replace drywall, i expressed my stupefaction that i was being asked to pay $627 for a job that took such little time, effort and inexpensive parts to the owner who explained i was covering his high overhead costs. i responded that his business costs are his concern and that the price of each job should reflect parts and labour/time costs exclusively. the company claims to match prices and have a " satisfaction guaranteed" policy on their website. high prices that are set in stone and aren't adjusted to reflect the actual time, effort and cost of doing the work would prevent me from using this company again or recommending it.
i was quite impressed with greg when he assessed issues concerning my hot water tank. he responded quickly and was very thorough in his analysis, clearly outlining the options available to me.
greg tsakopoulos and everyone at priority were very professional, courteous, on time, clean and did a great job.we had a sewage issue that was causing bad smell and within a day everything was under control.i have nothing but compliments. the pricing is transparent and fair.
i had a leak coming up from my basement floor. i was told it was a broken drain pipe from a reputable company. after speaking with a friend who had used priority before, i decided to get another quote. as it turns out, the problem was a burst water line and there was no drain in the area at all.they fixed the problem in one day, repaired the floor and left the work are very clean. they were courteous and professional. they wore shoe covers and layed down drop sheets.i would recommend priority plumbing as i am quite happy with their service.
under my house there was a leak that was starting to cause real problems. my husband and i decided it was time to call a plumber and we ended up using priority plumbing. tony was able to come within about 2 hours and the whole problem was fixed the same day.
i called priority plumbing the other day because my laundry drain was backing up.greg arrived on time, and wore booties to protect my new hardwood floor. he was very polite and professional throughout the entire visit and unclogged my drain within an hour. after showing me the issue which caused the problem using a drain camera, we opted to replace the entire line as to prevent this from happening again. they were able to start the much larger work immediately, completed the job quickly and left a very dirty jobsite spotless. i would suggest priority plumbing to anyone who needs a plumber.
i had a pipe burst and leak at my place recently. i was so happy get such excellent service from priority plumbing. they were all very nice and professional! great work!
they initially quoted me at $1,800 to hook up my sink that was already dropped in the counter top. i told them no and they dropped their price to half. only took them 1.5 hours to finish. afterwards, the drain trap leaked and the faucet was loose.this company is very unethical to charge so much. i will never call them again. from now on i will stay away from franchise plumbers and go with independent contractors.
many thanks steven and as i told your girl on the phone this morning even before you showed up, i think you guys have excellent customer service. you were here when you said you would, you were very professional and explained everything to me and then again to my wife, you found the leak when 3 other professional contractors before you couldn't and you even answered my questions after the fact. this was the best plumbing experience i have ever had.thanks again and we'll definitely be recommending you to our friends!cheers,
we found the prices very expensive, or at least more than what i had expected, but the service and professionalism along with their guarantee were excellent. we would recommend them to others on this basis.
i just purchased a new home and wanted to have the plumbing checked out, to avoid any surprises. i had used priority before in my previous home so i called them again. we discovered several issues with the plumbing system that needed to be addressed, particularily the lead water intake pipe for the house. by the next day they had completed the work. they left the work site spotless as usual. once again i am a very happy customer and will continue to use priority but hope i don't have to.
greg was on time, explained our options in detail and assisted us in making our selection. the day of the installation he arrived punctually, set up, installed and removed the old toilet in an efficient and tidy manner. he was courteous and left our home as he found it. we are extremely happy with our new toilet.
greg t was professional, efficient and knowledgable. he spotted a problem with the water heater in addition to the main problem and fixed both. the company is great and we have a plan with them due to other visits they've made. they are always reliable, tidy and professional. highly recommend!
i called priority plumbing to install a new vanity i had purchased for my powder room. greg was fantastic. he was very pleasant to deal with and did a great job! he cleaned up very well and i would highly recommend him. great job greg!
after several attempts to plunge the toilet in the basement, i decided it was time to call a plumber. austin from priority plumbing arrived extremely fast and was able to diagnose the problem quickly and efficiently. it turned out that the problem was in the main sewer pipes and not the toilet at all. it ended up being a big messy job but the crew from priority plumbing did their best to contain the dust and work as quickly as possible to get my house back to normal. at the end of it all i am extremely happy with the workmanship and the level of customer service that austin and his team have provided me.
today, august 19, greg from priority plumbing arrived promptly and on time, giving excellent service and great advice. greg is someone i'd recommend to everyone due to his professional, friendly service. kudos to greg! felicity was wonderful on the phone, and greg was a wonderful technician
i have been a client of priority plumbing for a few years now, and have always been very satisfied with their services. greg t. is the main worker who has solved quite a few plumbing issues in my house. greg is always very professional and always gets to the bottom of the problem. he is clear with how much a job will cost, explains what the problem is, and what my options are. the last time he was here, greg figured out where a leak came from, in my kitchen sink. 3 other people from various companies could not figure it out. it remained a mystery, and the bottom of my kitchen cabinet remained wet, until greg figure out the problem. in that same visit, greg fixed my bathroom sink for a much lower price because the pipe needed to be changed, not snaked. i highly recommend greg, and priority plumbing.
definitely the company to call for plumbing emergencies. on a frigid day when there must have been a huge number of service requests, they got my pipe repaired and my water back on by the end of the day. i will definitely use them in the future, and recommend them to anyone who asks.
if we ever have a plumbing need, we ask specifically for steven at priority plumbing. we have had other plumbing companies in the past come for various work on our 100 year old home in an area that has many well-established trees.....and it always felt like a cash grab.steven offers a selection of options of solutions that allows us to make the choice on what is best for us. he is personable, professional, respectful and understanding in his recommendation. the last time he was here, we actually said to him....ts too bad we like you so much steven, as we really don't want to see you that often!" however, if we need to....priority plumbing and steven is who we will call.
after a long time of dealing with a leaking pipe under my sink i finally decided to call a plumber. i reached out to priority plumbing and am extremely happy with the job they did! they were friendly and did the job efficiently without leaving any mess. i will definitely call them again for any other plumbing issues.
Called for an inspection of a leak in shower floor. Even though it appeared to need a larger shower re-install project, Adam was helpful and did a thorough check of the house, letting us know about different issues that we'll need to address soon and offering advice on how to move forward. Thanks!
adam t. from priority showed up on time and he was very pleasant. he took time to understand the problems we were having and then he presented me with several options at differing price points. he understood i was sensitive as to cost and he did his very best to find a good solution. he worked fast and the result looks great. in the end i paid a little more than i had hoped, but because of adam's approach to the job i am left feeling content. adam put a very good face on priority plumbing.
always a bad feeling when you wash some dishes and the water stays in the sink. usually a little drano or a quick plunge cures that but when nothing works you call the professionals. we did that and the priority plumbing rep was over within and hour. after a quick inspection he told us it wasn't just a blocked kitchen drain but a blocked main down pipe connected to it. long story short...their people came the next day, removed and replaced the main pipe, the floor drain and the laundry tub. tough to argue. they worked half the day and did the job which ended up costing quite a bit, e.g. $4000. i can't complain about the work but the cost seemed quite high. sure, i could have asked them to just do the down pipe and leave but the floor was already busted up and if there were further problems with the parts undone...it would just cost more later. drains all work fine so i can't complain about anything other than price and the fact they promised to do a camera scope of the main drain but didn't have the camera with them. my recommendation...get a couple of estimates, even if the water isn't flowing.
hi austin, just wanted to let you know that dave and his colleague who did the work at our place over the last two days were extremely professional and courteous, and from what we can tell did an outstanding job of the pipe replacement. they went out of their way to inconvenience us as little as possible when turning off the water, left both the yard and basement spotless from their work, and even went beyond the call of duty when removing a rose bush by planting it in a temporary unused pot overnight to assist in preserving it.we wanted to thank them ourselves but didn't manage to catch them before they left so please pass along our sincere thanks.and thank you and steve for your excellent service and work as well. we are glad to have discovered your company. would highly recommend you guys!best regards, valorie and neil block
Kyle was very professional and helpful, and Felicity was pleasant and efficient. I would recommend Priority Plumbing and Drains to my neighbors. I would use their services again if the need were to arise.
don't be fooled by the sweet voice of the receptionist and the promises on their website. we had to have two valves replaced on our leaking water heater which are $350 to replace normally (parts and labour) as quoted by several other plumbing services. we paid to priority plumbing $850. they damaged the controller during these part replacements, which costs another $550 to replace. when our gas supplier detected a gas leak in our home, they agreed to pay the repair costs, but then refused a week later. this company will take advantage of homeowners in high stress situations and gauge them in pricing and provide shoddy workmanship in return. on top of all this they try to fool you into purchasing a membership and insurance with their service. do not use this plumbing service. i have recently reported them to the better business bureau and the ministry is currently investigating.
came even when they were notified very shortly. fixed the drain, is well trusted; there are many garuntees. one of the most trusted in ontario. would definitely recommend to others!
i hired priory plumbing to waterproof my basement. initially i was very excited as they seemed very professional and customer oriented. unfortunately the results were not what we agreed upon or even in accordance with the building code dictating the bare minim standards.i realized that something was wrong about half way through the job when i noticed that weeping tiles, as agreed upon (and as the building code requires!), were not getting installed. when i called the office, the explanation provided was because of the sandy soil the weeping tiles were not necessary, they could clog up and potentially cause more problems. i may not be an expert, but i believe that a plumbing company providing waterproofing services should know how to install weeping tiles even in sandy soil. even more surprisingly, priory plumbing claimed to be saving me money as the weeping tiles may need new connection to the drain. i am not sure why was that not considered or explained in the initial quote? regardless, i strongly believe that before somebody at priority plumbing made the decision not to install the weeping tiles, i should have been consulted and given the options, and the ultimate decision not to install the weeping tiles should have been mine. after all, i was the customer paying over $8,000 for this job.although priory plumbing failed to inform me that they have made the decision on my behalf not to install the weeping tiles, please note that they did not have a problem to call to inform me that a service of an electrician would be required to disconnect my air-conditioning unit. i am not certain why this was not included in the initial quote as the air-conditioning was always there. i was charged additional $400! i strongly doubt that disconnected 4 wires is really worth $400. furthermore, my objection to the outrages $400 price tag was justified by priority plumbing that it is the price charged by the electrician and not priority plumbing. well, i find this even more insulting. in my opinion, priority plumbing should be more selective to whom they subcontract their electrical work. it appears to me that the main focus here was not i, the customer, but the electrician, another dishonest person taking advantage of me. my question why the additional $400 charge is not reduced against the services not rendered, the cost of the weeping tiles and the labour associated with the installation, unfortunately went unanswered and my credit card got charged extra $400.in conclusion, i feel priority pluming has not delivered what was promised, i got fooled by the excellent communication skills and the pretence of professional service oriented company. my job was half done and priority plumbing even found a way to charge me extra money for it. i certainly would not trust them with any future business.
i called priority plumbing last week because with all of the rain weve been getting in the last couple of weeks, ive been having water seeping in from the walls in the basement. steven arrived within the appointed time, and was friendly and professional. he explained to me that the quickest way to remedy the situation was to water proof the side of the basement that was leaking from the outside. it only took a few days for dave and his crew to complete the job. i was so impressed! now when it rains, i dont have to worry about mopping up water in the basement anymore. i will definitely be using priority plumbing again, and would be happy to recommend them to anyone that asked me to recommend a plumbing company to them.
a valve recently developed a leak (faulty valve). giacomo replaced the valve free of charge. expert service, efficient, professional and great sense of humour!!i have, and will continue to recommend priority plumbing.thanks giacomo!!!
the basement was flooded after heavy rain fall. the first time the basement has had a water issue. i calld priority plumbing and they came right away to solve the flooding. they put in new drain and i am very happy with the work. thank you!
i am very satisfied with the work that has been done. it was explained in a very thorough manner and i was presented with different options about what could be done to fix the problem at hand. a fast and reliable service!
I was hesitant to commit to paying $50 up-front to have them assess the situation when they wouldn't give me an approximate estimate over the phone, or even an indication of their hourly rate. My instinct on this was right.
I needed a leaky pipe fixed under the kitchen counter - the quote, for which I paid a $50 home visit fee - was over $1,300. When I asked how long they thought the work (removing the pvc trap and installing a new one) would take, I was told "at least an hour". So, for those of you counting at home - the going rate at this place (give or take the $20-$30 in supplies that were included in the price) is over $1,000 per hour for plumbing services. Plus another $50 to let you know that in person.
*Update* In response to the response: The job quoted was *not* for 3 things. I did ask a question about an outdoor tap (which the plumber answered). No work was/is required.
The $1,300 quote was for replacing the trap and sink baskets (the pipe was leaking) under the sink and to fix a toilet that was hard to flush - it also included two upsell scenarios in which the plumber tried to get me to buy an entirely new toilet. I told him I would think about it, and left it at that.
I suppose the only real response I have is this: I called another company to come in, which they did for free (see my other review), and my sink was fixed for $250. As for the toilet: Did I need a new toilet? No. Did I need to have the inner parts replaced? No. The other guy just looked in, bent the wire coming off the handle, and it now works perfectly. No charge.
Response time was prompt. Service person was polite and informative. Work was completed to our satisfaction, stoped the rapid leak. Cost was in my opinion quite high for 45 minutes of work. Certainly not the cheepest company in town but efficent.
adam t. was very pleasant and professional throughout the 6 hours of work. his workmanship was excellent and he left no mess. he exercised his experience to troubleshoot the best solutions and did a great job at including our opinions when necessary. we would call him any time. priority plumbing facilitated his great work by providing an exceptionally well-stocked truck so there were no delays to get parts or necessary equipment.
a huge thank you to greg and adam for a job well done! they arrived on time, were friendly, professional, courteous and fun! i would hire them again in a heartbeat! also, a shout-out to felicity in customer service for arranging the appointment. it was a painless experience from start to finish. our floor drain's unclogged and we can do laundry again! yay! and... lesson learned... from now on, we will use better-quality dish detergent and never pour grease down the kitchen sink again! you guys rock!
I found Priority Plumbing & Drains and Greg the plumber to be very knowledgeable and he did an excellent work. The price of the repair was well explained before the work was done.
The plumber, Giacomo that came to service our problem was friendly and professional. He provided us with 3 different possible options to move forward with to fix our problem. He was quick and clean.
nice guys, they fixed the problem and informed me on what needs to be done so that a sewage backup doesn't occur again. greg and brandon were clean and respectful of the surroundings. highly recommended
adam t of priority plumbing did a great job fixing a burst pipe under the kitchen sink, and installed some other upgrades in our home. i was very pleased with his work.the service was fast and efficient, and costs were explained and options provided before the work began. i highly recommend priority plumbing
