I just love this store. All the merchandise is beautiful. I went in there looking for some design inspiration but wanted to leave with everything. The design consultants were extremely helpful. And I am happy to say that my living room and bedroom are now decked out with furniture and decor from Parliament.

I love this place. I come in here both to dream of what I will put in my future loft and what I actually want to invest in. They have some really beautiful pieces, couches, lounge sets, dining room tables and a bunch of really creative accents. They do a really good job of placing everything in the store to give you a good idea of what goes well with what and all the staff are super fabulous!

This play is beautiful. If I lived in Vancouver, I would totally decorate from here. Teal was a big colour and they seem to really love owls. But I still dig it. They also had a great selection of living art/plants. They also had a fantastic mirrored wall hanging. I really like this place. A lot.

Great place, wonderful diversity of items. Too bad I'm an out of towner otherwise I'd come here a bit more often. In a time of Mass produced crap from China in large BOX stores, places like Parliament are a breath of fresh air. If you are in Vancouver I suggest you seek them out. Also the staff are wonderful the owner took the time to talk to me and my sister even though the conversation was not always leading up to him selling stuff to us. He told us about all sorts of good places to eat and drink in his town of Vancouver. This is the kind of attitude that makes things worth my while. Inventory is good, very seasonal too. When we were there it was around Christmas time so they had Decorated Christmas Trees, good selection of t-shirts, overall a great place to brows. The place is bright and well arranged. Its the kind of store I would come into from time to time. Anyways instead of buying some tacky souvenir I bought a t-shirt with a Zamboni on it (good design). How Canadian :) The place is kind of pricey though. Then again this ain't IKEA.

i go to school next door so every now and then i pop in. its very pretty and unique. I love the owl kitchen set. when i am in the store i remember the feeling of being a kid and having my mom tell me to keep my hands at my side and don't touch anything. So i don't, i just look. Its a good way to pass my break.

When I hit that big payday, this is the place to shop for home decor. Thought it was European but a few of the pieces I was inquiring about actually came from North Carolina and Cali, and she did mention Toronto too as one of their suppliers. You won't find deals nor are they looking for that clientele. those L shaped sofas for $3,500; or a dining room glass set, with white leather booth style seating, also for another $3,500; you get the idea. Very stylish, and there's a reason why they won some type of golden awards for best independent fashion store for past 2 years. Makes Mobler affordable haha! think Yaletown...

OMG I wish I was rich AND had a big house. Well, I don't really want a big house but I'd love to buy everything in this store! The prices aren't cheap but they're not outrageous for the quality and design. The staff were really welcoming too. We're going to be in the market for some good furniture that's not from IKEA soon and I think my husband already has his eye on a couple of pieces.

Gorgeous space, fabulous finds, and the peeps running the show are delightful. They have everything from furniture to jewellery. Now I have no shame in telling you all that I had NO IDEA that a group of owls was called " a parliament ". I merely thought this store had a great respect for owls and found it fun to feature some owly home decor. Turns out the name and items are related, aaaaaaaaaand I love it! My favourite item is the cuter than cute owl mug from Japan. In brown or white, it would make the perfect addition to any cupboard. And it would make tea time a hoot. AMIRITE?! If you don't find owls as hilarious as I do, don't fret, there are plenty of other items for you. I found everything to be very reasonably priced, and I agree with Sunny - you will find products that look more expensive than they cost. Who doesn't love that?! Check it.

I could never afford the décor inside this shop, therefore, looked at the furniture more as museum pieces of art. I openly acted as such and the shop owner was very patient with me and didn't make me feel like a nuisance or an annoyance for being in the store. I appreciated arts on all different levels and mediums. The color schemes and arrangements were very modern and DIY looking. The one thing that caught my attention was the adult dollhouse for $600 with the furniture. I've been wanted to get into making miniatures as there is a whole collectors and community based on making dollhouses and miniatures. I would have to save up for it and I can play with my imagination of pretending that I live in such an awesome home, considering that in the city that this would be the only affordable house I could/will buy. It will be like playing house...adult style.

Crisp, clean and simple is how I would describe Parliament, the newest addition to Gastown's furniture store club. Brought to you by three ex-Liberty staff members, they have done a swell job in finding modern looks at reasonable prices. It's one of my sweet spots, finding product that looks more expensive than it costs. They offer everything from sofas, dining sets, office chairs, wine stoppers, candlestick holders and pillows. My favourite find, little white porcelain pear and apple decorations for only $6 CDN each!

I think I found my happy place. The interior is spacious and dreamy, with blue velvet couches and sunny yellow details. There are adorable owls peeking out at you everywhere and friendly staff always nearby.

Cool furniture store in Gastown. I haven't bought anything here yet but there is this table I am eyeing. I love walking in and browsing. They have cute mugs, pillows and little home accessories that I would love to buy but will have to wait until we make the BIG move. After putting together so many Ikea products, I would like a furniture that I don't have to put together and this store may be the answer to my prayers.
