I ordered a floorlamp for about 300 bucks. Had to order from the website because my wife is sick and can't get to the store. A couple of weeks later, UPS delivered the lamp in a box that had obviously been opened and re-sealed with large gobs of un-matching cellophane tape. Obviously a returned item. Unpacking it revealed why: the chrome base was badly scratched. Then my wife pointed out that it was the wrong lamp: they had shipped the wrong item. So we went through the rigamarole of re-packing and returning the lamp and RH sent us a replacement. Once again, the wrong lamp. Once again, scratches on the chrome. To compound this farce, wife had ordered a bluetooth keyboard for her ipad as part of the first order. When she opened that, she found the bluetooth adapter was not in the box. Another returned item? Almost certainly.RH has some nice stuff to sell but it's a badly run company. Re-shipping returned items without inspection is not a good business practice. Be ready to have your time wasted if you order stuff from them.

Let's get the obvious out of the way: Restoration Hardware makes outstanding quality furniture with an unmatched eye for detail among mass-market retailers.HOWEVER... their delivery service, MXD Group (which also delivers for lesser quality retailers like Pottery Barn and JC Penney) is structurally flawed - possibly fatally flawed. It astonishes me that Restoration Hardware, with all its attention to every last bit of detail in the products it markets, would allow an operation like MXD Group to handle its delivery. As Amazon.com has proven, delivery is 50% of the equation. You can have the most fabulous product ever designed, but if you don't have a proper delivery mechanism, the customer will go elsewhere. And that is a shame, considering the sheer depth of appeal RH's designers and manufacturers have created in the past 3-5 years in particular. While RH eventually remedied my delivery issues (after an incredible amount of time spent escalating the complaints), I found the MXD representatives were almost always confused, offered conflicting information, and keep no notes of previous phone conversations with customers - the last part being an absolutely fatal operational flaw. At one point, I spoke to a representative at MXD by the distinct name "Abdu" (he would not provide a last name) who stated a Supervisor ("Dujuane") committed to have the item delivered on Saturday (tomorrow, 10/11). However, in subsequent conversations, MXD representatives denied this was my delivery date, and stated the "earliest" date for delivery would be 10/16, 10/17, and in one case (note: all conflicting dates) a representative told me the delivery date would be 10/27. This is all in spite of the fact that I repeatedly informed every representative I would be travelling after 10/12.I eventually spoke personally with "Dujuane the Supervisor", and he denied that there was anyone in his office named "Abdu". His words: "I am not aware of anyone here by that name." Minutes later, after arguing with me about his delivery date commitment, he stated "Abdu is sitting right here next to me and said that he never offered a Saturday delivery." It's a fairly incredible feeling to actually catch someone overtly lie to you, even on the phone. In fact, it seemed like most of the representatives working for MXD Group were caught up in a nasty habit of routinely lying to customers to break previous scheduling commitments, or avoid having to address what are obviously serious customer service issues. This is in stark contrast to RH employees, who are always professional, organized, *correct* in their information, and above all, take notes on customer accounts and are generally honest about what those notes say. When the furniture itself arrived, of course, it was magnificent. Beautifully crafted. The deliverymen themselves were very professional - unlike their dispatch crew. Everyone involved creating Restoration Hardware product itself should protest *every* single day that passes with MXD as its delivery partner.

I ordered some hardware pulls, they arrived quickly and were in good condition. I subsequently returned them for a refund because they did not look right on my cabinets. Restoration Hardware was easy to work with for the return and promptly credited my credit card. I did pay round trip shipping but I knew that was possible when I made my purchase. I would buy from them again.

We were robbed of 1600+ deposit for something which was not delivered for no fault of ours and now the same item is put up for sale in their outlet store. The customer service was terrible. After even mentioning what floor our apt was on and the access to it, no one ever asked us for measurements. When we contacted CS first they asked for the measurements so they could re try to deliver and if it didnt work they promosed to return the deposit. when they couldnt deliver the second time, the CS bluntly refused that they ever promised return of the deposit. We have evidence in form of voice mails from the CS rep which we are going to a lawyer with.Didnt expect it would turn out this way.

Ordered two stanadard size drapes that were marked in stock on web site for immediate shipment. Received confirmation with shipping dates. When I checked my account on line they were placed on back order. I called and cancelled the order. Hours later I still did not have a email confirmation so I looked at my account on line and RH had changed my order and flagged it as a custom non-returnable order. I called back and was told that because the drapes are now on sale (even though I paid full price) they can not be returned. Of course I asked to speak to a manager who blamed the previos CSR for screwing up the order and said nothing could be done as they were scheduled to ship in three days. REALLY? They can't cancel an order with a three day lead time? I was then told they would send an intercept to UPS and have the package returned. Which they did.....and then they reversed it the day after! My CC was charged and bill has been placed in dispute. I will never order from this company again. I'm not sure who is running this place now but they clearly do not care about customer service at all.AVOID!

I placed three orders since 2013. Every one of the orders ended up in a disappointment. I do realize now that RH is a foreign company operation in USA. How difficult for a company could be to respect the contractual agreement:- Charge 50% of a custom order at the time of placing an order, not 100%?- Charge remaining 50% of the custom order at the time of actual delivery, not weeks in advance?- Respond to inquiry as business not as a prison guard?Welcome to RH experience.

I am writing b/c I do not know what else to do at this point. I ordered the 19th. C. Campaign Iron Canopy Bed ITEM #: 63140039 PTNA back on April 8th, the order processed the way I was told it would. I received a phone call from Best Way Delivery on 5-9 at 4pm saying they would be the ones delivering our bed. I cringed inside b/c this company had recently delivered a washer and dryer and it took this company 8-10 times out all said and done before I had a stacked washer and dryer that operated correctly. There was nothing I could do at 4pm the evening before so I crossed my fingers and hoped they would get it right the first time. They did not, not even close. They were installing the canopy part (mind you 4 canopy pieces were suspended in mid air) as they decided what their next move would be. Eventually, gravity took it's course and they canopy pieces started snapping, one snapping completely apart and falling on the floor, they caught the second one as it was nearing the floor. They wanted to order just a new canopy. I was not ok with that for two reasons: #1 the pole that the canopy had fallen off of was bent and wobbly. Then one man in the room by himself decided it was a good idea to scoot the completely assembled bed (minus canopy) one side at a time back to the wall which was more than a foot away! In my opinion both men should have done this step simultaneously and because they did not the bed was twisted and also became loose and squeaking. Prior to that, the bed frame was sturdy. I told them I was calling RH and ordering a new bed, they kept arguing with me and telling me not to. AS soon as they left, I was on the phone with RH. I explained what was going on and the bed was re-ordered and the first bed was to be exchanged. I told the person I spoke with that day, I did NOT want Bestway Delivery to come back in my home and requested a different company deliver my bed. SHe said she would check into it and call me back. I ended up calling back several times to see what the status was on finding a new delivery company. Each time I was promised a call back. The fourth time I CALLED, the RH C.S. agent Denise (on 5/22) informed me that RH is contracted with estway and there is no other option. I told her that they could bring it to my doorstep and I would hire professionals to assemble the bed, she said we would talk compensation once new bed was delivered and gave me a 1-2 week time frame. Two weeks went by, I called RH 6-5 exactly two weeks later and the CS agent was surprised I had not been notified of a 6-7 delivery. I had not been contacted by Bestway and was only contacted 6-6 in the afternoon of a morning delivery scheduled for today. The first bed had to be taken apart and that meant us hiring someone. It was on the front porch when Bestway arrived this am. I noticed the boxes had been opened and even snapped pictures. I asked why they had been opened and the guy explained b/c Restoration often does not send all the pieces and sometimes sends faulty pieces, so he had to open it to check the quality etc. I did not reopen the heavy boxes as I am 8 ½ mos. Pregnant. I asked himif everything looked okay and all the pieces were there. He assured me yes they were. I tried calling RH Hardware tonight to talk compensation for the white glove part, the extra waiting time and frustration. We had someone scheduled to assemble our bed on the way to our home. I have poor cell phone coverage tonight and never got through. The last time I tried, I asked the rep if we were disconnected if she could call me back. We were and she did try and left a msg. saying a supervisor was willing to credit $150. I was feeling okay about this until they opened the box and brought in headboard. The foam around headboard (not footboard) had all been cut open. The headboard is not anything like the color of the first bed delivered there is a very noticeable inconsistent color pattern instead of a nice consistent color as in footboard. I was heartsick, how could this be happening? I am just not okay with this product. I do not know if it was tampered with or if it is a flaw in craftsmanship. PLEASE HELP!!! I have a baby coming in 5 weeeks!!!!!!!!!!!! My home is in disarray and I am extremely disappointed and need a supervisor to read this and contact me as soon as possible!Attached are a few photos of the inconsistent pattern on the headboard.I was guaranteed a bed that had been fully inspected by R& H in 1-3 weeks. From here it was 5 more weeks imstead and the bed showed up defective again, not as bad as second one but still not acceptable. They tried to charge me 60.00 extra dollars during the process of last time, I have had to call them 45 times to get to this point. I am done and all they want to do is refund the white glove delivery service. Nothing for the 15 plus week wait! DONE!!! DESPISE THIS COMPANY!

Scandalous!Don't know where to begin with the disastrous experience we had with RH. Every single item we ordered (and there were many and expensive) had severe issues. EVERY item arrived much later than they said, some up to 4 months later! A very expensive sofa that came nowhere to the expectations they guaranteed us and had to be returned! Curtains that don't match to this day! Mat size smaller than marked and crappy quality. Curtain rods missing parts. Incorrect parts sent, several times! Chairs arrived the incorrect colors! A dining table with no care instructions supplied, ruined in a few weeks! Every single item of very average quality. It is my firm belief that RH will sell you anything and lie to you about the delivery date to get your hard earned money in their coffers and then let you sit like a dupe for as long as it suits them. I had to spend so many precious hours sending tens of disgruntled, pleading emails and am still not satisfied to this day.Never had such a shocking shopping experience in my life. The entire story is way to long to write here but all I can say is avoid RH like the plague!

COMPLAINT OF THE YEAR!!!!!!!As you will see my order has been somewhat of a nightmare. I ordered a foyer table, which was delivered, however the top was warped. So, they delivered another one which was also warped. We had them take both tables back and send me a refund (since I paid with cash in the Austin Texas store). I will never do that again. From there I had made several calls on 4/10, 5/7, 5/29, 6/8, 7/2, 7/9 & 7/14 to follow up on my refund check. Each time the customer service representative told me that THEY would call me back and NONE of them every did. Each time they promised that it was being taken care of a check was sent out to me. Eventually, on 7/9 the customer service representative actually told me that not only did they send the check but that I received it and cashed it! Calling me a liar!!! I told her to show me where I had received the check and cashed it and never heard back. So on 7/14, I needless to say, was irate!! The customer service representative got the manager and took care of the problem FINALLY!! This rep and manager should receive "employees of the year" especially since everyone else working there seem to be incompetent. I received the check a couple weeks later!! After my horrible experience I was hoping to receive an apology letter/card or something from RH but as of today (almost 60 days later) nothing!I wanted to let you know that not only will I NEVER purchase from Restoration Hardware again but I have let all of my friends/family know how horrible your customer service department treated me and they have agreed that this should have never happened to any customer!! I plan on writing my experience on all forums I can find (i.e yelp, houzz, whitepages.org, abumba.com, judysbook.com, insiderpages.com, consumer affairs, etc.)! "

I have had an absolute Nightmare Experience with 72" Round Concrete Table (Salvaged Wood & Concrete Trestle Table) that has lasted over a year! The table top wobbles and does not match the height of the dimensions (it is 1-1.5" shorter than it is supposed to be). The delivery people confirm the aforementioned, yet RH Corporate insists that everything is fine with the table. They have attempted re-delivery 7 times, all with the same result. Yes, 7 times! At a loss for words to describe the experience. Purchased from the Palo Alto, CA store. The table was ordered based upon input from the DH designer along with 8 custom chairs that match so changing now would look awful but that is all they know to suggest.

I have quite a bit of Restoration Hardware items in my house, faucets, pulls, towel bars & hooks. I have never purchased furniture.I was going to purchase a coffee table ottoman that is about 48" W x 28" D x 17" H (it would have fit in my husbands truck or the back of my sedan). The shipping was a flat rate of $199. I inquired about the shipping charge (most other competitive companies are charging between $30-$75 dollars) and the store clerk said they charge a flat rate no matter what the item/s are. I can understand feeling like you are getting a deal if you are purchasing a whole new living room or dining room set but ONE ottoman, $199 seems excessive. When I wrote to customer service, the response I got was pretty much the same, "Please know that shipping and handling fees cover all costs related to the processing of your order, the handling and packaging of the merchandise, and the carrier fees. We make every effort to keep our customers informed about the cost of our shipping by making our rates available online and in our catalogs, and we only charge what is necessary to support our business. We are, therefore, unable to reduce or eliminate our shipping and handling fees."This response is a complete crock of you know what. I checked with some other carrier companies and UPS and their cost is a fraction of that $199. I haven't purchased anything from Restoration Hardware for a couple of years, I now won't be purchasing anything based on their lack of customer service. Maybe the company isn't doing so well, that is why they have to make a margin on shipping. Buyer beware!

Last year I purchased $4000 worth of furniture from RH, I was shocked at the sheer amount of hand-holding with the numerous calls I had to make to chase my products down. Having this previous experience and wanting to add to my collection I placed an order for $3500 January 6th. Having the previous knowledge of inefficiently and "false expectations" (their way of saying they lie about dates) I thought I will order this with "in-stock" items only and I will call and handhold this. Well again, their service is just the WORST. My sideboard was cancelled 3 times, no-one called me and I was put to the back of the queue till March. So naturally I cancelled this out. The unreliability of dates and seeing pre-authorized numbers on my card over and over is just extremely inefficient. And for the consumer, the "zinc" collection is not as sturdy as one may think with "zinc", you cannot put any hot drinks or water glasses or spill water on this piece, it WILL tarnish and leave marks quite quickly. I do not recommend purchasing from RH. As a once fan, I will now look else where for quality and service these guys just do not have.

I am a physician who as an anniversary gift for my wife bought her a dining room set from Restoration. Order #10267180Belgian Slope Arm Slipcovered Armchair Belgian Ladderback Upholstered Side Chair Salvaged Wood & Concrete Trestle Rectangular Dining TableUnfortunately, this ended up being one of the worst retail experiences I have ever had. I ordered 10 dining chairs and a trestle table totaling $7000. Almost four months later I have received the chairs and yet no table. I've called over eight times to the customer service center with promises of "making things right." And yet, I still have a bunch of chairs and no table to go with it. The company has no explanation for their multiple bungles. To make things worse, the company has overcharged me over $1500 on the order. While I appreciate the customer service agents kind demeanor and verbal willingness to help the customer, ultimately they and the company fail miserably on execution. I highly recommend on buying anything from the company that you cannot carry out of the store yourself.

I ordered 4 dining chairs in mid-November 2012. When I placed my order, RH required that I have them shipped to my house, as opposed to picking them up from the store.Since November 2012, I've suffered through SEVEN back-and-forth shipments and still only have three out of four chairs in my possession. (It is now May 18, 2013). I've been forced to return the other chairs due to a variety of reasons including scratched finish; incorrect finish; broken legs; splintered, gouged, and/or cracked wood. Furthermore, this company has sent me the wrong chairs and has overcharged me during various transactions regarding the return and shipment of these chairs. - I recently wrote the company (again) to see when I'd be receiving my 8th shipment. I received a curt correspondence saying that it would not be shipped until late July 2013.Customer service was initially polite, but unhelpful: They are all talk, but no action. Now, my 'special customer service representative,' is ignoring my correspondences. After the third return, all of the customer service representatives told me that I'd be compensated for my trouble. That was a total lie.Regardless of how cool the furniture looks, it is NOT worth your time, money and hassle to order from this company. Not only have I wasted money on the cost of the chairs, through this process I've had to take off seven days of work just so that I could be here to receive these chairs. And, yes, I'm still waiting on the fourth chair, which will be my EIGHTH shipment.

Overpriced. arrogant, rude and not very concerned about CANADIAN CUSTOMERS. If they don't have the means to provide service and reasonable prices to Canadians, then close your Canadian stores and get out of the country! WHY should anyone have to pay an extra 20% surcharge because your company fails to stock items here in Canada?FURTHER, I'm shopping in a store that is LOCATED IN CANADA, and yet if I place any order, I have to pay the 20% surcharge PLUS convert the total into US DOLLARS!!!And then, to add insult to injury, they want to charge 13% HST on TOP of those prices, and even the Canadian HST that is collected is ALSO converted to US DOLLARS!!!!This is ridiculous indeed!

I have to start with an OMG.  I walked by the store the other day, and my heart stopped as I caught sight of these fantastic chandeliers.  I'm in love. The store is filled with super fantastic furniture and accessories.  And the staff was super nice.  Every thing is super big - not too many people have room in their house for a 12 ft dining table, but things here are beautiful none the less.Love. Love. Love.

Furniture here seems built to the scale of a large-ish house rather than a condo, so I surmise the target demographic doesn't include the rapidly growing condo population in this neighbourhood. Ordinarily I really don't like furniture or furniture shopping as it's mind-numbingly boring, but some of the pieces in here are really stunning. In fact, this place makes me realize why I hate furniture shopping...at OTHER stores. The lighting here is superb enough to transport you into the homey fantasy of your shopping dreams. I'd gladly outfit my entire home from this store, but the sad part is that just looking here has spoiled me for life. Every other furniture store seems sadly lacking by comparison. The quality of everything certainly looks impressive and that's a good thing because you want these pieces to last a few generations when you pay these prices. Please put me on the list as a loyal future client after I make in in the big time.

We purchased a large order from RH back in July.  Over $20,000 worth.  We had absolutely horrible service and the worst experience.  For that much money, we definitely expected more and would not ever buy from them again.1.  Our dining table had to be sent back twice because of a large scratch on the surface2.  The dining chairs damaged our new hardwood floors3.  The couch had a large tear in the front4.  The sales associate convinced us to purchase 10 dining chairs for the table.  But when it arrived, it could only fit 8.Lastly, when the basement couch didn't fit (due to narrow stairs), we returned it.  We called the store to see what other options we had, and were told that "you can return it, or get another couch at another store ... whatever you want".  So basically the sales person told us to go elsewhere.... And we did.Restoration Hardware:Awful servicePoor quality productsYou definitely can get better stuff elsewhere.

This store is a dream for all home decorations. All of the store's furniture and accessories for the home are classic and trendy, with amazing uses of woods, metals and colours. As someone who will be moving out in a few months into my first apartment, I have already visited this store with my mom a few times to get some great decorating ideas.Unfortunately some of the stuff is out of my price range at this point, but it is a great place if you want to spruce up your home with the latest in designer furniture or purchase any discounted pieces or accessories.

I was wary of ordering from here, given the reviews, but I'm glad we decided to order our chairs here. Decent price for the styles you're getting, some may find it a tad expensive, but really for real wood and these styles, where are you getting cheaper? We knew we didn't want to get into custom options because they're always late, so we selected something in stock at that US warehouse. Within 5 days, the chairs were delivered problem free and look beautiful. Dom at their store helped get things done smoothly. I'm thrilled with my purchase. Regarding the USD complaint that some folks have - well I guess given the volumes, a lot of furniture stores are following this model--Westelm, Pottery Barn etc-- and Restoration Hardware is no different. Dom, who sold us the furniture was smarter. He didn't quote any USD price, just what it'll cost me per chair delivered to home and my total. Also, if you have any USD on you (we used our USD credit card), the purchase is cheaper without the conversion.

This is a mid to high-end furniture store.  It is also carrying lots of smaller house decoration items.  I love to always spend some times to see their beautiful furnitures and to search around what's new there when I am at Bayview Village.  I finally made a purchase this time.  I and friend saw the very cozy and comfortable cushions.  They were on sale at 20% off.  We were tempting cuz they would look good on our sofas.  The sales lady helped us checking the stock in their inventory room at the back of the store.  She was all the way friendly chatting with us and providing suggestions.  This is what we called selling technique, or maybe she was born a good sales person?  We both loved the cushions and they were of good deal, but they were not as necessary.  This nice sales lady helped us make the purchase decision fast.  Ended up, I went back and brought one more.  They are of very good quality and make my sofa a totally new look.  Happy purchase ever:)

We were looking to replace some dining room chairs which this store had. Sales lady was nice, but she forgot to mention the price was in USD until the very end. Sorry, but did we just cross the Canadian border when we walked thru their doors? WTF, That's just unheard of! Lucky we didn't sign on the dotted line yet... Go to Elte or Barrymore instead! Don't waste your time here.

Friends gave us a gift certificate to Restoration Hardware. Lamp listed at $529 comes in at $885 after all their charges detailed In other posts The store is not located in Timmins. If you want to open up shop in Toronto ..inventory your items locally or get the heck out. Amazing arrogance of the head office to do business this way. If we were not tied to the outlet through a gift card we would have walked out. The best part is the lamp we chose gets shipped in May.  Five months to get a pendant light that has been in the catalogue for many years. The store was busy. It appears head office is smarter then the purchasers that support this place. Don't know what happened to this place.

I shop at Restoration Hardware for very specific items, usually when I want something of quality, made of solid wood (oak) and not import hard woods like mango wood.I have ordered the 4' oak round pedestal table on sale and have been happy with it. I recently bought a desk from Ethan Allan, didn't like any of the EA chairs, so I found a very nice match at RH. It was delivered extraordinarily quickly, was on promotion, and was very much the same as the floor model.I just wish they didn't have the 20% fee for the American stock orders. I hope they discard that soon. The conversion between American and Canadian is bad enough.Overall good store for key items or if you would like to buy something made of good materials.

Ended up at this place as a friend of mine is a fan of the furniture here and has purchased quite a bit from them in the past (planning to add something new to the museum as I call it) If you want your place to be a cutout from a magazine this place might be to your liking. I am talking muted colors, over sized furniture (in some cases) that requires spaces that few can manage, only to end up with a setup that one would admire rather than enjoy IMO. That being said they have a vast selection of items both online and in store and one is sure to find something that will appeal to you. Service from what I have been told has been decent for online purchases (one case them replacing the old cabinet with a new one without charge no questions asked) though be prepared to shell out for shipping. A decent place to check online if you are looking for a one stop shop that will cover the things you need to furnish your dream home. Its hard to pass a judgement on this kind of store as if you like this sort of furniture/items this is the place to be.I would say 3.5 stars.

I have made one purchase at RH and it will be the last. I will stress that my issues were not with this location but with the company as a whole. Worst experience EVER. I ordered an area rug with extremely high expectations of this store; I'm very familiar with their products and their standards for service. I don't think it's been mentioned here yet, but RH doesn't actually sell anything in Canada. The 'stores' are showrooms where you go to have a salesperson place an on-line order for you, no different from what you can do from home. You pay the same shipping/duties, which is 20% on top of the price tag you see in-store. So I was more than a little thrilled to be getting a rug from RH, and the people in-store were fabulously nice. I was assured twice that my order would be delivered by a moving company that would contact me to schedule delivery. This was important because it was being delivered to our new house that we hadn't yet taken possession of. I find out the day before closing that in fact the order is shipping with UPS and they don't schedule deliveries. Long story short, RH changed the delivery method without telling me, UPS (don't even get me started on how horrible they were) delivered the item one day early. It was dumped on the porch of a house I didn't yet own in Toronto, no signature required, in February. The day before a massive snowstorm. I was livid, but UPS obviously didn't care. I sent a strongly worded complaint to RH, who responded with a very polite "we are very sorry for the inconvenience". Holy inadequate response! I was so seriously upset with the whole thing I dropped it for a while. When I opened the package I found that the rug was the wrong size! Call to RH. Nice girl, very apologetic, offers me 20% off, will ship out a new one immediately, it will arrive in 5-7 days. That was 9 days ago. Emailed RH today. Again, they are VERY sorry, it will arrive in 3-7 business days. Absolutely unreal. In the US, they offer white glove delivery to their customers. In Canada, they charge you a 20% premium and dump it on the porch in February. For a comparable product and phenomenal service, shop at UpCountry in Toronto.

If you want a splurge furniture item, this is the place to go. VIBEIt's very high-level in here; very similar to Pottery Barn: khaki clad staff with those headsets on. Poor staff. I think I got a hello. I was on my phone, though, so I guess I wasn't being the most polite customer. It's gorgeous in here and a great place to get inspiraton for your new home. Lots of leather chairs in here at the moment. THE GOODSmainly living room and bedroom merchandise. If you're looking for kitchen related gear or a small inexpensive gift, your best bet is Kitchen Stuff Plus or Indigo respectively. I got my a comforter/quilt here a few years ago and I LOVE it. It's so comfortable. So I highly recommend their stuff. That is, if you have the money for it. It's not cheap! Mark-up heaven. OBLIGATORY CATCHY REMARK Oh, they do have hardware stuff here too. Their name wouldn't make sense otherwise would it? You can restore my hardware anytime, baby.

We bought a $3000 bed in June/12, we're now waiting for the 3rd bed to be delivered. The first bed ,side rails were not flush with the footboard ,out by almost 1 1/2 inches. The Second bed the headboard tufting was all bunched on one side, not universally filled and stitching not consistent. We're now waiting for the 3rd bed....Where is the quality control ??Also very distressing and something for future buyers to be aware of.... They re-billed our credit card for $1400.00  each time they sent out the replacement bed !!!!!!Had to contact them in order to have it credited back If we weren't already so invested in time and have gotten rid of our old bed, I would have told them to come and pick it up.They have some high end and funky stuff, however after our experience we would not go back

DO NOT BUY ANY BATHROOM FIXTURES FROM THIS STORE or online!  They are pieces of crap and they DO NOT stand by their products!  I just had to replace a $600 shower set.  I was unable to go to Home Depot and buy a Kohler or Delta product because the shower head and inter pieces are already installed.  I am stuck with the one I bought originally.   I also had to throw away the matching vanity fixture as they broke as well!  Another $600 down the drain.  And that doesn't cover labor and the new faucet I had to buy! While RH products look nice - they don't work well and definitely DO NOT last!!!!!I will never buy from RH again.

I definitely can't justify the prices of most things in this store (although fun fact, RH refers to their stores as 'galleries'), but you can't deny the style this place has.I came in to return an online purchase (you're required to pay for your own shipping, if you choose to mail things back, and 2 blankets would've cost me around $50). The sales associate who helped me with my return was very friendly, personable, and helpful.I did not get the same treatment from some of the older staff members, who seemed displeased that I was gracing their store without intention to buy, but it seems to be a common experience. I guess just be choosy with who you talk to?The return policy here is a bit much - you return your item in store (if it falls under the size/category they allow for in-store returns), you receive a pink slip indicating they received the items, then your return is shipped to the warehouse. Within a few weeks, you are supposed to have the purchase credited back to your card (although I was advised to call back at least once to follow up). It seems like a bit of a hassle for a store that comes across as high-end.

We ordered the Belgian Trestle Concrete and Teak Rectangle Dining Table from Restoration Hardware in May 2015.  It was supposed to be delivered at the end of June 2015, but was not delivered until August 2015.  The table was fine but the concrete top was delivered broken in August.  They have subsequently attempted to deliver the concrete top two times and both times it has been broken.  I highly recommend you reconsider if you are even thinking about ordering this table.  We have since told them to keep the top and we are having our own top made.  This is absolutely ridiculous, especially seeing as the table cost $5400.  So it should not be this cheaply made.

Went here to shop for a kitchen table.  Received great in-store help.  Ordered the table; it was delivered quickly and was sturdy and beautiful.  We decided two weeks later that it was actually too small for us.  Called RH to exchange for the next size up.  The sale price had since expired, but without even being asked, the customer service lady said, we'll obviously honor the prices for this line at the time you purchased the item.  And in less than two minutes, the exchange order was complete.  Sturdy, beautiful furniture... excellent, honest customer service!

Do not order from these people as it took 40 days to received an order.   The order was placed on November 15 and literally received Christmas Eve.During the 40 days my wife called Customer Service and received excuses.  We called twice today, Dec. 26 and were turned down for a shipping refund of $8.Customer Service; are you kidding me?  While the ladies on the phone were sweet voiced and apologetic, the "I'm sorry" and "No" were less than satisfying for the stress of waiting right up to the last minute for our daughter's Christmas gift.Along with this frustration was that each time we were in Palo Alto shopping their store on University Ave was amply stocked with the items.  The Los Gatos store was the same -- plenty in stock. Two lessons learned: first we should have canceled the order and purchased from the store and second; these people suck at "Customer Service."  This was a bad shopping-on-line experience we do not plan on revisiting with Restoration Hardware.

I'm not sure I can validate all the negative ratings with our experience here today. We came here after seeing that they had a sale going on with their couches. We did our homework visiting two other competitors' stores to ask our questions and see what the others were offering.Katie greeted us promptly, offered us water (bottled, either sparkling or still) and was very engaging and, after allowing us to review some of our fabric choices, confirmed what we wanted and then took our order. Katie was very courteous, professional and even allowed a new RH associate to work with her to show the associate how it was done.We also were asked by two other RH associates if we had been helped, after Katie stepped away to take a call. So I wonder if they've been paying attention to these reviews here.Regardless, we came away with a couch that exactly met our needs, budget, and timeline. I will update this review when the couch gets delivered to see if that 5th star is earned.

I placed three orders since 2013. Every one of the orders ended up in a disappointment. I do realize now that RH is a foreign company operation in USA. How difficult for a company could be to respect the contractual agreement:- Charge 50% of a custom order at the time of placing an order, not 100%?- Charge remaining 50% of the custom order at the time of actual delivery, not weeks in advance?- Respond to inquiry as business not as a prison guard? All products are made in China and financed by unwitting customers.Welcome to RH experience.

Very pleased. We worked with designer Bao and ordered 2 leather chairs. We were quoted a delivery of app. 2 weeks. The chairs were availableearly and someone from the warehouse called to schedule delivery.Chairs were delivered within the 2 hour window.Delivery guys were extremely professional and quick! We love the chairs! Based on other reviewsI had reservations about making a purchase here but our experience was very positive with everyRH employee we interacted with. We appreciated the follow up call we received two hours after the chairs were delivered.

Disappointing.   On the positive side they have an incredible selection of furniture.   Where else can you go with more choice?    I recently placed 4 orders -- none arrived without issue.   3 of the 4 are very late.   Don't believe the delivery estimates.   For example I ordered some beside lights in October -- now after 4 delays they are estimating the end of March.   Is it even a product if it takes 6 months to deliver??2 orders were delivered damaged, still waiting for replacements.   Custom chairs and sofa have been delayed 3 times.   Still waiting.

So disappointed. I have lived in Palo Alto for a few years now and never had an excuse to go into Restoration Hardware. Finally, I did. I was in a pinch and needed a nice picture frame. I went into the store mid-day and saw 5 employees standing around the register, none greeted me or even acknowledged my presence. The picture frames are scattered all around the store so I was walking all over - I walked right by the registers several times and none of the staff could be bothered to ask if I needed help. I was literally the only customer in the store at this time and they all were all preoccupied with chatting with each other. If I wasn't in a pinch, I'd have left at this point. Once I found a frame I liked and asked if they had one in a box I could purchase. The saleswoman seemed annoyed at my request and having to call back to their stock room. The quality of their products seems nice, and although I wasn't there to purchase thousands of dollars in furniture their staff pretty much guaranteed I will never return or consider them in the future.

I have always love restoration hardware: the ambiance and experience of walking into a store. I was very disappointed from my visit yesterday at the Palo Alto, CA location. My boyfriend and I recently moved into our new home and wanted to decorate our new home with some beautiful pieces from the store. I walked around and went to the cash register hoping to get some assistance in the store. Not only was I ignored for about 5 minutes, an associate walked right pass me as if I was invisible. I looked around and the store and made note that there were only 2-3 other guests. Hoping that it was just an oversight, I got her attention by following her down an aisle and asked her for some help.  Throughout the whole process of picking out linens and bathroom accessories, she seemed generally disengaged and annoyed at my questions. Instead of helping with my items she just kept asking if I was done and ready to be checked out. I had to approach her three times to have her look up items for me and every time she looked at her iPad and just seemed annoyed that I was asking her for assistance. At the very end, there was no exchange of pleasantries, instead she put our items in a bag that had clearly had a big rip in the center of the bag. I guess she did not care if the items made it back to our new home in one piece. At the very end, I still thanked her for her help and all she said was "sure..." I assumed at a store like RH, you want to make the customer experience a great one. She made our experience very un-enjoyable.

We placed an order for Ovieto chair based on seeing the chase in the store and being reassured by the sales rep that the chair would be of similar fit just chair size.  What a disaster! After paying $3500 for 2 chairs we received a completely useless product which is neither chair nor chaise, ridiculously uncomfortable and utterly awful poor quality. Customer Service wanted nothing to do with it as they deem their products custom orders.  We stopped by the store and all they wanted is to sell us new product - not even a slight interest in helping us resolve the issue.  Horrible, horrible experience. DO NOT BUY HERE! They are noting short of being scam artists.

It's no wonder this location has such bad reviews. Horrible horrible service. Clearly the employees do not enjoy working here or helping customers. We were given attitude when we asked any questions, rudely told to wait while they were on the phone. When asked about specific products one sales reps rudely snapped and said there were no more, but then another rep came out and said they do have it. Didn't even have the decency to wrap my item in tissue. Just left it on the counter, handed me the receipt and walked away. RUDE! If you don't like working in customer service it's simple JUST QUIT.

The twelve pound, nine volume (!!!) catalog arrived here today -- addressed to someone who moved to Australia 17 months ago. If this company had ANY interest in the environment, they would update their mailing list before sending out such a massive tribute to waste and conspicuous consumption.  That "carbon neutral shipping" was chosen is just a facade of green-washing.

I don't understand their return process.  IMO, it's fraud for what they are doing. Take way too long (almost a month if I am lucky) to get my money back from the warehouse.  Beware if they told you that you can retune to the store but fail to tell you they will keep your money forever.  Totally not worth buying from RH.

They have pretty interesting novelties - a good selection of gifts for birthdays and Christmas. HOWEVER, super rude staff - they will be super polite to sexy, young, women/men (I have literally seen one older member of staff literally stalk this young woman, explaining to her everything in the store like there is no tomorrow) and ignore everyone else.I have had it when I was asked to stand in a different line for the cash register (although there was not line indicated anywhere). And by "asked" I mean reprimanded. Nope, never again.

RH's extremely non-green marketing ploy of sending 15# catalogues (I kid you not) to every mailbox in affluent zipcodes is atrocious.  Their statements about sustainability and carbon neutrality are completely disingenuous: the most environmentally friendly approach, by far, is not to needlessly create and ship these unnecessary and wasteful catalogs.  Our neighborhood is returning them, en masse, along with our polite comments to this effect.  PLEASE TAKE NOTE, CORPORATE.

I'm baffled with amount of 1 star drama queen reviews that freely handed out with completely unrealistic expectations. So you drove to one of the most beautiful designed stores in SF (looks like a castle in Tuscany), and the fact they didn't have they entire inventory - like online, you justice that with a 1-star review? If you really want stores with their entire inventory stacked in their shop, Costco's is a 5 minute drive away..I went there recently to purchase a hanging lamp, towels, and duvet covers. I was greeted nicely, they offered me San Pellegrino as I waited for them to pull out the duvet covers and towels that I had chosen, the lamp I had to purchase online which they helped me do at the store. Simple, easy, and straightforward. What's with all the drama?

Extremely frustrated!  I ordered two beautiful looking beds, knowing that they were back ordered for two months.  When time of delivery came, we were very excited and cleared out the bedroom in preparation.  The day before expected delivery date, the delivery company called and said that items failed inspection as they were dented and  missing parts.  Restoration Hardware was unresponsive on phone calls but finally said that I could "exchange" the items which were now back ordered for another 4 months!    They then only refunded one of the beds which prompted another phone call.  They agreed to refund both beds (since I did not receive ANY beds)  though at first did not refund the $161 shipping fee since it was shipped from their warehouse.  It took 3 calls to sort this out which is just unexceptable.

I absolutely despise Restoration Hardware. I don't even remember shopping there and to this day I get 18 lbs of glossy catalogs multiple times a year. No matter how many times I call and tell them not send them anymore they just keep on coming.  They even followed me out of state when I moved.  Their products and service are terrible too! Don't shop here unless you want to kill every last tree on the planet by having their crappy catalogs sent to you for the rest of eternity. Yes, long after your dead these jerks will probably leave 36 lbs of catalogs on your bloody grave every year.

This review is about the customer service I received at their Potrero Hill Store.  Having read the reviews on Yelp! I was a bit scared about going, I'm not particularly well off and I don't look particularly well off, I have a broken leg, was on crutches and wanted to see and feel the bits and pieces of furniture and bed linen I was thinking of buying, in the flesh.  I'd spent a couple of weeks in bed pulling the money together to buy a couple of their lovely things.  It was clear that photographs on the website were true to the products, they did not have the pieces of furniture I specifically wanted to see.  But I was reassured by what I saw.  I was approached by three members of staff who wanted to help me and make sure I was okay.  Someone even gave me a fake fur throw to rest my foot on!  I was shown similar products to the ones I wanted to buy and was reassured that RH would be a good place to buy furniture (buying online is so hit and miss).  I went home and purchased a bunch of stuff, using the call center, it was quick and efficient, the first thing is being delivered on Tuesday,  a little more than a week after I ordered it.  it remains to be seen whether or not I love it.I have now received everything I ordered.  I'm pleased to say that I love it all!  It's nice quality, unusual and everything arrived at exactly the moment I expected.

Tragic waste of space. We drove from Half Moon Bay to this huge RH design center to see some pieces first hand. In this enormous space, someone had the idea to mirror image the rooms with identical furniture, such that 50% of the space is wasted. As a result, they had only two media consoles on the floor out of 30+ online. But they had two identical huge sofas, four identical bookshelves, on and on. When I asked the floor attendant what was the rationale, she chirped "yeah! It's all about symmetry and balance."

I purchased a queen set of their stone washed belgian linen sheets in the color fog. This was a big splurge for me to spend over $300 on a set of sheets (I also bought an additional set of pillow cases). I loved the look and color and thought I was making an investment in linens that would last me the rest of my life to be honest from what I read about the durability of linen. Well, two years later after light use with one person and only cold washes the color is blotchy and faded. The  uneven color fading I was going to overlook but then they just fell apart in the center. Big worn holes. Not even on the side I sleep on. Obviously a quality problem. I have two sets of discount cotton sheets from Marshall's that feel like silk and are ten years old and have held up perfectly.I decided not to let this go as I am so angry at having spent a huge amount on bedding to have it fall apart and fade. So I called the store and was very polite and told them my story and that I hoped they could help me out and stand by their product. The woman I spoke to said she would speak to the manager and get back to me. She did call back and said there was nothing for them to do. I am not going to let this go and plan to pursue it. I rarely return or complain on anything except when it's really really obviously a product defect. Any store as expensive as this one needs to operate at that level and stand behind their products. I can't think of another high end vendor that would treat me this way. I had a North Face jacket that de-laminated after 3 years and I sent it back - they sent me anew jacket. It was a known issue. Love the company for it. I had a timex watch that the dial fell off. Sent it back and was replaced with a new one - again a known issue. Love them for it.Restoration Hardware - $325 for one set of sheets that fall apart and all I get is a FU.Don't shop here - I never will again.

Unbelievably, the experience got even worse. I finally received my curtain panels only to have them not be the same length! One was off by several inches! I had to call and have them send me a new panel as well as recall the wrong panel. They had to charge  me for the wrong panel and assured me they would credit me when the returned panel arrived. I get the panel and guess what!? The new panel is also the wrong length (again by a few inches), but this time in the opposite direction! So, I have to order YET ANOTHER panel and go through this whole thing again. All of this complicated by the fact that I was going away for awhile so I needed to get it all done fast. After sending me the 3rd version of the panel, I finally had 2 curtains of basically the same length. Then came trying to get the returned panels refunded. One took almost a month and the other took me calling after almost 6 weeks when I gave up on it happening on its own. The phone customer service was very friendly, but I really wished to god I didn't have to talk to them quite so much over 2 curtain panels..Upside? The 1993 paper gift certificates were credited back to me within 2 weeks of arrival. I, of course, sent them certified mail.

It's crazy to say that the horrible reviews on this site are true, but they really ARE true.  There is literally no customer service here.  You can wonder around from room to room, and everyone will actively avoid eye contact.  I could not tell who worked here and who was just a customer, which made asking for help very awkward.  After about 20 minutes, we realized that most of the people in the store were employees, which made their active avoidance of us a big bummer. We ended up ordering online, because we like the sink so much, but the experience of shopping here actually makes me less likely to purchase from Restoration Hardware in the future.  And that is not a good thing for the brand.

Rarely do I give poor reviews on Yelp, but Restoration Hardware has been a huge disappointment.   The level of service is terrible.  I ordered an item 6 months ago.  The week I ordered it I received an email saying the item was ready to ship.  I scheduled my delivery and days before they cancelled the shipping as the item was now out of stock.  A month or two later they ship the item and it is the wrong item.   They then realized that all of the trunks were built incorrectly and they asked me to wait again. Here I am months later with no storage unit and I emailed them as the item was supposed to arrive this week.  They are now telling me the item has not shipped.   I have gone through this before with RH and I have to say the abusive relationship is ending.RH can sink their money into beautiful showrooms and magazines, but without service or accountability they will never make it.  Don't waste your time or your money on this disorganized mess of a business.Good Bye RH.  I am through with you.....

I'm scratching my head with all the negative reviews. I went into the SOMA store two weeks ago, and upon being greeted, told the woman that I was looking for a couch and coffee table with a certain budget.   At first glance, I did notice 2 young women sitting at the back tables avoiding customers at all cost, but luckily there were 2 other associates (Ryan and ?) that asked how they could help.  Good start.  After 20 minutes, they recommended I meet with Bridgette for a design consultation the following week.  My meeting with Bridgette was awesome... I came prepared to the meeting my floorplan and a general design theme I was after and she ran with it!  I also mentioned that I was relocating from CA to TX and she was very careful to take my new place and delivery window into consideration.  Can't say enough great things about working with Bridgette!! After a 1 hour design session, I left RH in SOMA with 4 great pieces that were only slightly above my budget (my personal decision) that I can now enjoy for years. Here's the kicker.... I was expecting a 2-3 delivery window for my couch, table and chairs to arrive.  After placing the order at 10am yesterday, I've already received a call from the Texas delivery team that they have my stuff and can delivery it at anytime. Awesome sauce!! For anyone reading this with the thought of "Good for you, how do I ensure I have the same experience?",  here are a couple of suggestions: (1) Sales: Take advantage of their friends and family sale (20% off) or holiday sales.  The company doesn't offer more than 20% off any non-clearance items, they just market in different ways ($100 off every %500,  20% off clear the shelves sale) so don't feel bad if you just get 20% off...that's all you're going to get (non-outlet store)(2) Attitude:  Walk into the store with a smile and no "big city" smugness- seriously, get over yourself. Realize that these sales associates are people that are on their feet  talking to customers, creating invoices, balancing books, etc.   Nobody wants to talk to some entitled jerk (man or woman) that has little desire to ask about a product without being overly critical on their current in store stock policy, magazine policy, etc.  If you don't agree with RH's policies, don't shop there. Simple right? (3) Stocked vs. Custom:  This one's important... if you're looking to have something in your house ASAP (under 2 weeks from purchase),  make sure you are 100% clear on that expectation and only buy "Stocked" items.   There are some surprising fabrics/leather pieces that are "stocked" even though they totally look custom and can be at your door as early as 24 hours from purchase if everything goes right like what happened to me.  (4) Time of Visit: I don't know why anyone would go shopping for expensive furniture during the weekend. Most of us have jobs, I get it.  Why not visit the store on a M-F at 9:30 or 10am when they open and the place is empty (before work!)?  If you are spending this much on furniture, why not be treated like royalty instead of someone shopping at IKEA? Hope this helps someone out there...

I know the quality of the product is totally there but this review is about quality of service. Or i should say lack there of. Dear SF RH branch you have the worst customer service out of all the locations I've been to! And I've been to ones in other states. Please work on your customer service! May i suggest - new management may be? One that doesn't hire snooty people!Super snooty employees! Everyone in there acts like they are better then you are, every time. It is soooo unpleasant to go in there. If they don't think you're a potential huge sale they don't wanna help you.

You're better off ordering online in the comfort of your home and returning if you need to. Seriously.I walked in here to buy some sheets and bedding things on the off chance that they had them in stock. Nobody wanted to help me, and when I asked for help, I was given a ton of attitude. So you get to touch overpriced furniture and crap every day, this makes you better than me... how?One star for Carl who was the only sales person who wanted to make eye contact with me. And kind of helped me... but didn't really do anything that I couldn't have done online. He was nice though, even if it was an inflated, you're so cute look at you riding on your bicycle kind of nice. Also why can't I have things shipped to the store? Who the hell pays for shipping anymore? God forbid I inconvenience the store even more.So yeah. Order online, inflate no egos.

The showroom is beautifully done and decorated. There is a terrace on the top and again it is impeccably done. The service was horrible. No one came to ask us if we needed help. When we finally had to hunt a sales person down, she simply told us to go downstairs and ask for one. Once down stairs we were notified it would be 10 min and to sit there pointing at 2 chairs. Not even u can hang out in the lobby area. Really? After 10 min a guy came and told us we needed a sales person and that he was the wrong person when I told him I knew what I want to order and wanted to see the actual color the beds came in before I ordered. We were notified to wait another 10 min. Another guy came. By this time my designer went back to put more money in the meter. When I told him to wait a minute for my designer, he said do u just want to do this or do it right ? Turns out he is the wrong person again and we needed a sales team from the trade line. And they have a person in charge of directing u to the right person...Another 10 min or so and we are done with our hour appt with my designer. Looked at their yelp star and it was at 2.5. No wonder. A bad yelp review and loss of 10k in sales is not very savvy.

This new store is absolutely stunning. It takes up a whole block on Melrose, right across from Urth Caffee, and if I could, I'd move right in. 15 foot high ceilings make way for luxury couches, art and huge chandeliers. The decks are expansive. Furnishing a house with everything from this store would be a dream. This store really brings the Restoration Hardware catalog to life. Wow. Was. This. Awful. From the snooty service to the massive and ongoing issues with billing / email / scheduling delivery / damages / returns / refunds / price matching / missed time windows / multiple calls to fix multiple issues (literally at least a dozen) / poor workmanship / fabric off-gassing / and on and on.I combined my Hernandez v. Restoration class action lawsuit coupon (33%) plus a sale at the time (20%) for about half off all the merchandise I bought. But boy did I have to earn it.Ultimately they picked up all returns, replaced all damaged items and fixed all billing errors. But for awhile there, in addition to my full-time job, I had a part-time job dealing with Restoration Hardware. If I had paid full price I guess I'd be doubly-annoyed. (Do I have the math right?)Discounts or not, never again.Strange business model.

I placed an order two weeks ago and never received confirmation with shipping dates. I called customer service and a representative explained to me that they will contact me approximately in two months when my order will be ready. Do I really have to wait for 2-3 months for a sofa? RH charges 50% of a custom order at the time of placing an order and then they start manufacturing. And then it takes 2 months to deliver your order from China.  Nice... Good scheme. I wanted to let you know that not only will I NEVER purchase from Restoration Hardware again but I have let all of my friends/family know how horrible RH customer service is. Welcome to RH experience.

This place gets 5 stars for the amazing job they did in regards to the flow of staged rooms and the roof top seating area all decked out with comfy RH furniture. Plus they invite you to bring your lunch on the roof. I agree the customer service overall is weak and some sales people have no clue what they are talking about. But I did finally find someone- Robin- that was on itI also like that they offer flat or sparkling waterWell done RH

The Store: The showroom is beautiful. It feels like you're walking through a millionaires house and he just couldn't decide which set to buy. So he bought them all. The third floor is a really nice outdoor gallery where you can hang out, play pool or table tennis and just enjoy the fresh air. We spent a few hours shopping and I saw more than one person go across the street to Urth Cafe for coffee and bring it back to relax upstairs.Sales:Here's how it works. (And the reason for most of these bad reviews) When you show up, check in with the person standing at the bottom of the stairs. The place is designed for you to just walk around and look at everything on your own. No sales people will ever bother you, kick you out or make you feel like you're just hanging out and browsing too long. If you want someone to help you make a purchase, the person who checked you in will let you know how long the wait is for a sales rep, and they will come find you when it is your turn. If you can, ask for Kim. She was amazing with our order. It felt like she knew the entire catalog by heart. We bought a lot but had an issue with the couch when it was delivered. She took care of it right away. Sent a new couch out to us and let us keep the couch we had until the new couch was ready to be delivered.Shipping:This is the one part where they could have done a little better. Since everything doesn't ship at once, it was a bit hard to keep track of everything. The delivery company was also a bit hard to get a hold of when trying to reschedule or confirm times. But overall, everything turned out fine. Tip: Don't pay for valet. The sales reps will validate.

Extremely poor customer service. Waited for 20 minutes to purchase one of their outdoor collections and I never got anyone to help me. No one really seemed to care as long as they were serving their big ticket customers. Got approached by one of their "managers" that someone would be coming to help me. Help never came. Never going back to this store. Never going to purchase their furniture online. Can't even be bothered to complete this review in full sentences.

Stay away unless you plan to use it as a park visit.   This isn't a business where you can purchase anything it's a showroom where you can't actually figure out how to pay/order and they have no stock so everything is shipped to you UPS.   Seems wasteful and everything is too plain, no colors!

Third party delivery service is horrible! RH will gladly take your money then, delivery service won't call you in advance regarding delivery time, will hang up on you, and then tell you that you're not in their system. Plan on growing some gray hairs if you purchase anything that you can't pickup and walk out of the store same day!

The other reviews are pretty much spot on, came here to purchase almost $10k of furniture and you would think I was doing the workers a favor by keeping them employed by buying from their store.  After being brushed off by sales associates, managed to "get on the list" and was assisted by a sales associate that botched my order. If you must buy from Restoration Hardware, you might have better luck and friendlier service in their Costa Mesa/South Coast plaza location

Like most of the reviews on here, I have a similar story. Gorgeous, stunning location and offering but the service is beyond atrocious. I spent over $14,000 on furniture and was made to feel rushed through the process. The facility feels high end but the service does not equate. Following up on the order (to add more furniture!) took all day to finally connect with my rep whose only reason was "they are so busy helping other customers." Well, sorry I called to order more furniture. I should have trusted my gut with the first experience here - three different reps and an abrasive attitude. Great products and brand, need to get their act together for staffing.

I don't know what everyone is talking about! Not only is the place absolutely gorgeous (best rooftop I have ever seen), but I found the staff to be extremely friendly.  They all said hello to me and offered me free water bottles when I was sitting upstairs, even though I was not considering buying anything (just using their free wifi !).  I had a great experience the two times I went.

I'm going to give RH 5 stars for the great public space on the roof and 3 for the shopping side of the business. The public space is amaaazing. It looks like a zen garden perched atop a roof complete with plenty of outdoor seating, lots of white candles, fire pits, ping pong and billiard tables, etc. The views from there are great as well. It's such a unique concept. As far as shopping, the selection is repetitive to fill the HUGE space, very few pieces had price tags on it and it was difficult to find an employee to help (although the ones you did see seemed super friendly). Go to hang out with a friend. You'll love it.

Fuck this place.  Horrible service and a very unprofessional staff make what should have been a nice experience, something that just always ends in frustration.  Everyone here should be fired, it's nonstop dipshit employees who tend to avoid customers so they can chit chat among themselves.  Ive asked to schedule an appointment 3 different times with their decorators and never get a call back, even after they promise they will. Just close this store, the shit staff here is giving your brand a bad name.  And to the manager there who told me to relax and just wait another 15-20 minutes, please just shut the fuck up asshole, I had already been waiting an hour and never approached by any if your staff (no staff actually even walked the 3rd floor.  Unless you enjoy frustration and dealing with idiots, avoid this place!

I'm seriously so annoyed by this store.  I went to the store compare a couple chairs that I was thinking of purchasing. No one greeted me to warn me that I would have to get in a line for help. After searching for 20 minutes with an impatient husband and 2 young kids I was finally told that I had to wait in line for 30 minutes to get assistance. AND I had to call the store from within the store to get that information! On the up side, the store is visually stunningAnd it is great to see a large selection of their furniture in person.

ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS SERVICE. Purchased table for over 3 months and no proactive communication from store to say when it will be delivered. I have to chase them around and they still can't locate my order, when I have in my hands, receipts from them, payment in full on the day of purchase, and VISA statement showing that payment went through on date of purchase. Wrote letter to customer service, and response I got was to deal with the store. Called the store and they said they will call me back but no one did for 2 days. called customer service and finally someone is "looking into it" for me. They charge sky high prices, but provide zero service. better off with Crate and Barrel, Pottary Barn and Ikea. Don't shop here. Sales person Elizabeth didn't even want me to check the table (it was a floor model purchase) before paying insisting that it's fine and nothing will happen to it. why not let the customer look then? why does it have to be such a struggle, to just check the table?

We went to look at bathroom vanity lighting. They have TWO of each of the single-bulb wall sconces on display and ZERO of the multiple-bulb light "bars" on display! You don't need to see two of something to decided if you like it but you do need to see one! They said they could show me what they look like on the internet. I could do that from home without driving for forty minutes. Very stupid! Restoration Hardware has become completely corporate. Don't come here if you are expecting customer service. If you have a problem or a concern it doesn't matter because there are dozens of other customers just like you. They don't care about giving good customer service to a person who purchases a "small" item like bedsheets. I guess they don't know that at some time, a small purchase can turn into a much larger purchase, like furniture. I will never return to this store.

The furniture and bedding luxurious. The entire ethos of this place seems to be "well made luxury". The aesthetic is very much that it a contemporary homage to interwar Paris circa 1920. If that particular style is not your cup of tea, you can cherry pick well made accent pieces that will fit in with almost any decor.

I bought my RH sofa online at full price so when I heard there was an outlet, the cheapskate in me couldn't wait to check it out...but let me tell you something! This place was terrifying. First of all, stuff is piled on top of stuff and everything is crammed together without much room to walk. I'm sure people get injured here all the time. I saw a few things I liked that didn't look completely demolished but it was hard to tell because they were wrapped in plastic and didn't have price tags. When I located an associate beneath the rubble of an old St. James bed, she told me anything wrapped in plastic was already SOLD. Mmmkay, awesome. So, I drove over an hour to get there and then everything good is already spoken for and it's like the Island of Misfit furniture...everything was just sad and broken. Children were screaming. Actually, that was probably me. What a waste of time. BUT if you live locally, I can see how it's in your best interest to stop in and check on some random chance you get lucky. For me, I'd made my husband spend HOURS in the car and then he had to use a machete to get us out of the store...I ended up going home and ordering the media console I hoped to find at the outlet on the website anyway. Of course, it was full price. BUT it was delivered to my living room and all of the packaging was hauled away. I'll pay a little extra for awesome over that nightmare of an outlet experience any day!

Been two months since my son has had a bed - this has been ridiculous! We ordered a $3000.00 boys two drawer, double sized bed/bedding/nightstand/rug as a step up for our 10 year old in April - the weekend before the bed was to arrive, we gave away his single set. Yay!! the big day is here, mom's booked a day off, except... the bed (six feet long, almost three feet tall, at least 55" wide) comes fully assembled, glued and screwed, weighs 300 lbs, and doesn't fit into our house, never mind up the stairs, or around the corner upstairs into the bedroom!!. Now, I don't design furniture for a living, but one would assume that these dimensions do not fit into many homes ...so back the bed went, for a model that does come in pieces small enough to fit into the average home. Re-order time - roughly 1.5 weeks. The woman at the Restoration Hardware store here in Edmonton told my husband she was doubtful about our ability to exchange the bed, as we should have researched what the company meant when we paid for delivery and assembly - for real?? We get the return done, select a new bed, and the new bed is here. I book Tuesday off to receive the bed,YAY!! Except... they can't deliver and assemble the bed...sorry, the hardware to put it together did not make it from the warehouse in Calgary, so no bed. Could you please take this Friday off to accept delivery? REALLY?!? I suppose so. Phone call Wednesday - oops, apparently the bolts never were sent with the rest of the bed when it was shipped from the States...sorry, now we'll have to cancel this Friday, and look at one day next week - we'll call you when the parts are in. And here we sit, today... what a cluster cuss!!! I pray the bed comes, and when it does, I will NEVER buy another product from Restoration Hardware. Will let all my friends know, too - never once, at any point has anyone other than the delivery person made any form of contact or attempt at customer service. Glad the store is getting more upscale and is able to charge higher prices, in addition to: shipping, currency exchange, delivery, assembly - those profits must be going in someone's pocket, because they're sure not getting passed on to a customer, OR to customer service. NO stars, but I had to select "One" to post this message!!

I have purchased lots of furniture from Restoration Hardware, my entire office. Excellent design and quality. Pricing is really the only reason for a 4/5 star rating as everything is in US dollars plus shipping and duty until they get some Canadian warehouses, but you can often get 20% deals throughout the year which make up for the difference with the extra charges. Last week, I had 2 chairs arrive which were both awesome, but one was not the colour I was hoping it to be from the pictures (I ordered it without seeing it in person). Within days of speaking to the manager at Southgate, I had a replacement chair in a darker colour at my door with no issues. I was very impressed with how the exchange was handled, and how professional the team at RH was to deal with. Great store, very exclusive and unique furniture you wont see in everyone else's homes.

When ordering items from the gallery, the initial stated shipping date was not true and the item was back ordered by 45 days! The store employees did not apologize for the back order or try to remedy the situation. For paying so much money at RH, you would expect better service!!! Also, I found the sales staff to be very pretentious. Again, high price should warrant better service!

I have ordered quite a few times from RH. Quality is outstanding and the staff at the local gallery in Edmonton are phenomenal. A have had a few issues with my orders (not related to quality), and the local representatives have gone out of their way to help me. Emily, at the store, has helped me literally redesign my living room, office, kitchen, drapery, my sons' rooms, and bed room. She is always extremely professional, and helpful. She's got an excellent eye for detail and I've been thrilled with all of her suggestions. Colin the manager really helped straighten out one of my orders and Raegan (name spelled right?), is so friendly and eager to help every time I enter the store. I feel like they are family! I will continue to support RH and staff for all of my home and office needs.

The customer service of the customer service center is horrible. For a self proclaimed high end furniture service, the customer service is not consistent. The policies change depending on who you speak with at the center. For my previous two deliveries, I confirmed that I would not be charged until the product was delivered. Of course, this time I was charged differently and when I called their center they report that this has always been their policy even though I was told otherwise the two other times. I would be very careful about purchasing from this brand because they do not fulfill their promises. If there are any issues, it takes them forever to resolve. For the price I expect customer service to match it. It definitely does not come close.

I made an $8k purchase online. Unsure about how to fit in through the door one of the pieces, went to the store the next day to ask about the dimensions and if it came in multiple pieces. They gave the customer service phone number. Basically not only they didn't know, but I had to call their own customer service phone number while in the store. They didn't treat me well (perhaps because I am a young Hispanic woman in a posh store and I was wearing sneakers??).

Regarding Customer service over the phone versus in-store: I never write reviews but I felt like I needed to let people know about my experience. In the past RH has gotten some pretty bad reviews on customer service. All of my outdoor furniture is from them and any time I have had a problem with it they have changed it out immediately. I did go into the store regarding a problem that I was having with one item that I had bought a few years ago. The guy behind the counter told me that since I had bought it so long ago I was out of luck on them helping me with it. I was annoyed so when I left I called Customer Service on the phone. They exchanged it through UPS immediately! I just want people to know that if you have someone in the store tell you "No," call customer service to make sure they really won't help you. This has happened a few times now and Customer Service over the phone has been fantastic! And it should be. Their prices aren't cheap and they should stand behind their product.

I frequented the restoration hardware in Old Town before they closed down. The staff was excellent there. Returns were always easy. I love their taste and quality. When you get their items on sale it is a real deal. I am not as familiar with the Georgetown Store. The company is run well. THey seemed to get too much into furniture for a while and that hurt them. But now it seems they are coming back around. I love their new collections of bath, lighting and rugs. You can't beat the value.

I had a fantastic experience at Restoration Hardware on Sunday. I was looking for a rug, and in addition, I wanted to return a blanket I had received as a holiday present and wanted to check on a previous order that I had not received yet in the mail. I spoke with Melvin Hooks about everything and he was incredible. He was so patient when I was trying to figure out which rug it was that I wanted and waited for me and spoke about the different options Restoration Hardware had. When I asked if the rug I chose had different colors, he went and searched for a sample so I could see the difference in colors. He made sure to check on my order and confirmed that it was on its way. Lastly, he returned the blanket with no problem and was able to use the credit from the blanket towards the rug I purchased. I will most definitely continue to go to Restoration Hardware because of the excellent service.

Buyer beware at Restoration Hardware. I purchased a $200 defective lamp at the Restoration outlet store in San Marcos. I took it back to the Arboretum store They would not assist me with it in any way. Said it's separate from the regular stores. I asked the sales associate if it's"buyer beware" and she answered "yes". I asked them if it's like buying something on Craig's List and they said "yes.". I don't understand why they associate their name with something of such low standards. It's part of the same company. Also purchased towels at the Arboretum RH and they fell to pieces after the first wash. Ikea, a low price store, has better quality and customer service than Restoration Hardware. Won't buy anything there again. Would feel more confident in a Craigslist purchase!

I love the style of RH. I have ordered many things over the past couple years from RH including furniture, rugs, bedding, lamps and outdoor furniture for our new home. The designers are wonderful to work with. I have worked with a few different employees because I never make an appointment ahead of time so I meet with who is available. There is a flat fee for shipping furniture items so I have ordered a couple different tables and rugs for the same space to see what worked better in my home. Returning the unwanted items is never a problem which is great when dealing with furniture purchases.

Terrible quality clocks. I went through 3 clocks and none of them worked! I would like to state first off, that I do not take issue with the staff at the Calgary store, they were awesome! The problem appears to lie with inefficient and extremely frustrating company process for selecting, building, and delivering their items. That is, Restoration Hardware appears to have next to no quality control and systematically; they sure don't seem to do much when they find out that one of their customers gets screwed. I have a den and wanted a stylish clock to match the vintage industrial theme of the room. I selected the 1940's Gymnasium Clock. It was advertised at $229, but the final price after delivery and exchange was about $400 (I didn't flinch at because I loved the clock). When the first gymnasium clock arrived, I was so excited, but within 3 days it started to loose time. I changed the battery and still the problem persisted, so I called their hotline and they agreed to pick it up and send me a new one 'free of charge'. About 3 months later the second gymnasium clock arrived, I was surprised to find that even though the clock was to be replaced 'free' I had to pay about $16 due to a 'currency exchange issue' directly to the UPS delivery guy. When I opened the clock, I observed that the hands had fallen off. I didn't bother trying to get a third gymnasium clock because I couldn't handle the stress of getting another dud. Instead, I asked if I could upgrade to the 1930's Barge clock because, I reasoned, the previous clocks were supplied from a batch of lemons and surely the other clocks would work fine. I was told that I would have to pay the difference (of an additional +/- $600) but I didn't object because I loved this clock as well. When the new clock arrived, I immediately hung it on the wall of my den (with considerable fuss because the hanging pins were not level for some reason). Sure enough, the clock lost time - the clock worked fine when the hands were going downward, but the motor wasn't strong enough to push the hands upward (i.e. from 6 - 12). I nearly blew my brains out in utter frustration! Finally, I decided to take the clock to a local clockmaker who replaced the motor with a heavy duty model (at a further expense to me of ~$50) and was told that it was a very cheap and poor quality set of mechanics inside the clock. My conclusion: If you like the look of their clocks as I do, go ahead and pay their exorbitant and (somewhat deceitful) prices, but don't expect the clocks to work until you take them to a third party repairperson.

I'm not really sure what the point of this store is other than just being there if you want to see the items in person. Prices aren't even in the currency of the country the store is in??? Who thought that was a good idea? And then they charge you for shipping the duties?? I might as well just order everything online. I mentioned that to a sale lady and asked why I should even bother going no through the store and she immediately got very defensive and basically walked away. They have nice merchandise but not really seeing the point to having the store in Calgary.

There is some nice stuff here but when you go to spend a large sum on it and then get told the price is in USD!! This was very frustrating. This is Canada and not the USA. Price it in Canadain and suck it up. Also the service is not very good at all and the staff could careless. I agree with the other comment. I am standing in you store and you at tell me about exchange rate, shipping etc. Go back to the US with Target

I grew up with parents that used RH in all of their spec homes. They were beautiful. We have a unique remodel project and I thought an RH design would be ideal. I was a little hesitant from the negative reviews below but so far they couldn't have been more than helpful. I talked to Chelsea and she was extremely pleasant and I look forward to working with them.

We went in to buy a large sectional. While shopping we noticed 4 prom couples taking photos. We thought that was very clever plus great free advertising for the store. Our sales associate immediately called a supervisor on her walkie-talkie and said, "We have a prom situation." They made the 8 kids leave... And it was rain/snow outside. The least they could have done was let them finish. Or better yet, let them know in the future RH would prefer prom pics be by appointment/approval. When we told them that we thought they were being mean and that we didn't want to buy the couch now, they just said "good bye" in a snotty manner. The sales staff was so rude to those kids, then us, that we left without buying the couch. Clearly they don't care about sales. Nordstroms would never have treated anyone that way. I don't know what we are going to do about a couch now but RH is the last place I will shop.

If I could give them less than one star I would. As a card and Grey Card member, I have always had their outrageous $199 delivery fee waived. I called in today to order a bathroom vanity and "Kelly" so rudely told me that kind of service NEVER happens...look up my account, it ALWAYS happens...Cancelling my cards with this company and will be going elsewhere. Thank you for the great customer service Kelly!

Agree with everything here. Merchandise is well made but service is substandard and shipping fees are absurd. RH - are you reading any of these reviews? You may want to change your business model assuming you are indeed seeking operational excellence and customer repeat business.

Thanks to Alicia, Lindsay (designer experts), Mary (art expert) Brian, Suzanne, Jennifer, Jessica, and others, our experience with RH, through this store in particular, has become a very positive one. The store/business model is different from other retail stores to which the general public is accustomed. The idea is that the entire 70,000 sq ft space is a gallery and as such, there is no familiar checkout counter, no dedicated customer service area, no inventory. You just look, imagine, dream, decide. And they give you plenty of space, literally and figuratively, to do those things. Like many other reviewers, our initial encounter wasn't great. But after meeting Alicia on our second visit (we believe in second chances and boy do we love that Cloud collection), it all started turning around. Alicia is attentive, open, responsive, creative, and dedicated. And, shows great passion for both the company and design. Alicia, Lindsay, and Mary make a great team. We've now received two furniture deliveries from RH so I can now review their delivery service and can say it is consistently exceptional. The guys (most recently a team led by Scott and Charles), are tireless, patient, creative, and totally customer-oriented. An absolute pleasure. If your first experience wasn't ideal, consider giving RH another chance. This store is only getting better since it opened.

Attended their "grand opening" and their valet service opened another car door into our new vehicle causing damaging dent. Communicated with the same manager via phone and 6 emails. Between Nov & Dec she wrote: "this is moving forward through the insurance process", "we are definitely working toward solving this issue". Wrote a letter to the CEO in March when the manager went silent. No response. They ended up loosing a client who wanted RH furniture for their high rise. I showed my clients their ratings on this site and our emails.... they purchased elsewhere.

This review is in regards to the excellent service I received today at the Cherry Creek Store and in particular to the advice from Alicia Neilson. She met me at the door upon entering and spent time showing me pieces that could work for a project She suggested catalogue materials, sent me home with lots of ideas and concluded that the store offered design services for a future project. Kudos for this kind of employee.

Good luck trying to check out. This location doesn't have the traditional check out counters. You have to walk around and find an associate, which, after 20 minutes of wandering from one floor to another, I was unable to find. Dumped my purchases on a display and walked out. What a joke.

After seeing such low Google reviews, I had some hesitations visiting the RH at Cherry Creek. This was my first time at RH. I went during a quieter time, 11am Wednesday, but my experience was great. I was greeted by Susan who helped show me several dining tables that expanded, she also introduced me to a designer (Miriam Abdulsater) who would be able to help me down the road, once I'm ready to make purchases. Susan was very attentive, helpful, and kind. Upon arriving on the children's/teen floor, we were greeted by another interior designer (Claire Estay) who was also friendly and helpful, she helped us purchase some paint samples. So no, I don't have any experience buying items here, but my first impression was great and I can't wait to return. Not to mention the displays are BEAUTIFUL. Pieces that I saw online and thought "meh", looked amazing in-store and pieced together with the whole picture. Now I just need about $50K ;) (Of course, I still have a few reservations based on the negative reviews I've read here, but I wanted to share my positive experience regarding in-store customer service).

I am a huge RH fan, with that being said I was very underwhelmed by this location showing the same pieces over and over AND OVER however mostly their customer service. I was told they no longer stock back mats in the store and it would have to be ordered, I replied, " I know." and the woman walked away. Just like everyone else I too have spent thousands of dollars with RH, I know the deal nothing is stocked in the store anymore which is not my favorite. The day we were in Megan was running around the store with her I-pad and walkie calling others to come to the main floor and help walking by us twice not even smiling as she walked by, I felt more in her way. Calling online now to place my order and I will mention this poor service as I will not pay shipping fees.

Restoration Hardware is kind of overpriced, but the outlet has some good deals, particularly if you get them on sale. Sign up for their email list to find out when they're doing sales, but they seem to do 30% off the entire store several times a year and other 30% off sales in select departments. Many/most of the items are damaged - some worse than others. Some might have cracks and scratches; some might have components that are missing completely. The employee that helped us voluntarily checked over the item that we were buying to make sure we were aware of anything that was wrong with it.

Great furniture if you're into rustic, earth tones, distressed stuff. Some real style. Service wise, sales was great, but they pressured me to drive up from Colorado Springs to pick up furniture quickly after buying it. They told me they needed the space. A few days later I rented a truck, and called to let them know I was coming. They told me they might not be able to help me pick it up today and they couldn't disassemble the table I was to pick up because they were unloading delivery trucks. I said, well, I already paid for a rental truck, and they said, well, we can put it out for you,and you can take it apart here. Not impressed.

I'll give the staff a much higher rating for being friendly. But that's pretty much where it ends. Issue #1: Paint color in the can is often not the color of paint on the can. Issue #2: If you order paint and have it delivered, even if it's the same color, open both (or more boxes) to ensure. We received one can of the color we wanted and some random second color even though the SKU/Packing slip clearly indicated 2 gallons of the same color. Issue #3: Returning an unused can of paint for a credit ended up in the sales staff charging our account instead of crediting our account. Issue #4: When contacting Customer "Support" I got a "Customer Pacification" letter, they didn't even read all the issues of 8 trips to the store because of mistakes made not only at this store, but with their CS staff, all over three gallons of paint. The letter was a form letter stating it wasn't their intent to cause issues. Nothing to the extent of attempting to correct the mistake so that it doesn't happen again, and the use of our first name was rather unprofessional. We ordered towels during this nightmare and were actually expecting the order to be messed up. Shockingly it wasn't. For a company that prizes itself on high end merchandise, their utter incompetence at completing such simple tasks like ordering, processing, and shipping the correct item is appalling, not to mention not even being able to handle a simple return as a credit and not a debit. I will give them a couple stars for the quality of the paint, but the overall experience at RH has ensured that I will never step foot in their showroom again.

2/27 my boyfriend and I went to the store to purchase a pendant light we saw online. initially when we arrived, nobody talked to us which isn't surprising at Somerset, but eventually someone did and lead us to Jean who helped us order the light. he was super great! I received the light today, 3/1, in the wrong color but packed perfectly well and nothing was broken. I called the store and she immediately told me what to do; attach my name and order number inside the box and write "return to RH" on the outside and said that UPS would be coming to pick it up tomorrow, and that another light would be to me in 1-2 business days. she was amazingly nice on the phone and very helpful and I'm super happy with the customer service!

I don't often write reviews but felt compelled to share my story should you decide to make a significant investment in furniture. I ordered a sofa, table and two chairs on 1/29 from RH in Somerset Mall in Troy, MI and was told the custom order would take 3 months due to their one month observance of the Chinese New Year (all furniture is made in China). To their credit, I was sent a "loaner" sofa but discovered that the initial layout that they designer created while onsite at my home would not work. It's now 3/31 and I was informed that the furniture has been delayed until 5/31!! For the price, I would never order from RH again as there are many other furniture stores in the area that have superior customer service and superior product. As other reviewers have noted, it's all in the marketing and not in the delivery.

I have been to the troy location multiple times as well as the NYC locations. I absolutely love this store and all of the furniture, the quality and the appearance. What really made my experience fantasstic is the sales associate that helps me when I go. I have worked with Marty for about a year now to furnish my bedroom and livingroom and she is just famtastic and the reason why I will be back to the store. She was patient and kind with me when I was spending time choosing all of my pieces to purchase and she truly made my buying experience stress free. Customer service is extremely important to me and people like Marty set the tone for the first entire company in a positive way!

The items are great and the quality and are better then other stores like Art Van. Quality for the most part is just a tad better then Pottery Barn (But you pay for it). We have placed a couple of orders for chairs, couches, mirrors, pictures etc. Customer service loves to deliver the positive answer about orders, but they do not come through very often on delivery. Shipping time is slow and never delivered on time...I am not talking about waiting a week or two from the expect delivery date either. I am 3 months plus the date I was told an item was to be delivered waiting for a desk chair *and no it was not a custom order. I did finally receive the item (griffith desk chair) but it came with a rip in the top of the leather which could have been just unnoticed by a delivery person, but surely not someone that did inspections, if they have that as one of their protocols. The chair also came with a not saying this chair has been sitting in a warehouse for some time now, so we have included furniture chair wipes to get rid of the dust. This note was somewhat nice at the same time rude. It was nicely to include the wipes, but on the other hand I was also thinking should furniture of this price or any price arrive dirty? Orders have arrive damaged heavily, not just scratches. Our Ping Pong Table arrived and it looked it had been dropped from a rooftop. It was still able to set up and played just not sturdy, RH allowed us to keep the item until a new one arrived. (this was definitely nice of them). We just placed another order for sofas, chairs, tables, etc and I am banging my head against the wall for why in the heck I decided to go through this process again. I called customer service and they told me that this particular store did not know how to place my order. I was using a coupon, but it was just a coupon and the personal at the Troy store was not very helpful. I did place an order of close to $10,000 and done so in the past as well. We are close to our last and final order with this company (please remind me that I said that). The furniture is great quality but the process is not at all close to other companies when it comes to service and delivery. Art Van is not the best quality, but they have their staff well trained to call, service, and deliver the product, and keep in contact with the customer all the way through the process. I do think an executive from Art Van or any big box company could help RH with their logistics and communications. Pottery Barn and Crate and Barrel seem to have the delivery process down as well. I believe the biggest issue with RH is they ship a lot of items from China and some items are sold before they have enough product on hand to deliver. So it becomes a supply and demand issue. If you want to save yourself some time do not order from Restoration Hardware until the reviews start getting better with shipping. If you want great quality furniture and do not care about the price or the amount of time that it will take do deliver then order from RH. For us we are up in the air as we like the look but do not want to deal with waiting for back order after back order. On the other hand if something does arrive damaged the company seems to have a no questions asked policy. Which does give you peace of mind in placing an order in hopes that you will get what you pay for (when ever it does happen to arrive). Customer Service phone number has tried to be helpful, the people in the Troy store are hit or miss, with some being arrogant and unknowing, others being helpful and considerate. Way too much of a hassle to order furniture when it is all said and done. We will try and find somewhere else to shop.

China! Everything from RH is made in China. I ordered a sofa and it took almost 5 months to be delivered. Their customer service was hesitate to explain why the hold up then finally they explained that " the merchandise had just arrived into port". Their was a moment of silence when I asked where the furniture was made. Then was told China. I will be ordering nothing further from RH.

SNOBBY, PRICEY DAMAGED JUNK! Perhaps the mantra at the store is "If we act aloof you will pay the higher prices." No greeting from the rude wench cleaning the glass items with windex, bath towels at an outlet for $19.99 a towel? The items are not marked down and the people there just suck. Really suck. Perhaps this is why malls are dying nationally and everyone is seeing through the scam of the "outlet" designation. It's starting to feel like an oriental rug marketing plan to me. I suggest never shopping at Restoration Hardware! It is an absolute must avoid for workplace issues and contributor to global waste! I will outline my shocking reasons as follows: 1) Horrible Workplace: I worked at restoration hardware for about 4 months. I have had my fair share of bad retail experiences and this place tops the list. It is so bad under the general manager's ("store leader" Dorothy Bozek) supervision that nearly all of the employees get fired unnecessarily or quit within 2-3 months. RH, as company execs like to call it, has the most ridiculous sense of bullshit moral righteousness you can ever imagine. All employees are brainwashed with a 30 min "value meeting" everyday that goes over how great RH is, how successful RH is, and of course the "goals" for the day (completely hypocritical to how they treat their employees and reasons 2, environmental waste, below). An absolute must avoid! This brings me to my second issue: 2) Huge amount of GLOBAL WASTE! Barely damaged items AND EVEN COMPLETELY FUNCTIONAL, BRAND NEW ITEAMS are THROWN in the TRASH! This includes things that are put on the floor and get slightly damaged, such as a sofa with a small hole = put in the trash. That sofa with a small hole gets "destroyed" by splitting it apart and thrown in the garbage (rather then gets sent to charity and split apart so homeless people can't take it out of the trash). Perfectly good things are thrown out constantly! A NEW SOFAS = TRASH. A new style of sofa (the leather cloud sectional) which recalled because the cushions weren't fluffy enough was trashed, this was sent to the trash bin (one perfectly fine sofa for every restoration hardware store was simply put in the trash)! SHOCKING! The discount that was offered to employees for that sofa still meant the over priced sofa was $10000 for employees to buy, rather than giving their employees a sofa at a discount (which $14/hr employees can afford, they instead choose to trash items so they can write it off as a loss on the company income statement). Unsold, new items are also sent straight to the trash too! Restoration Hardware has nearly everything manufactured in China, it is seemingly high quality stuff, but is actually junk Chinese crap underneath. All sofas look awful unless the cushions are fluffed by the employees several times a day. The wood is not resistant to anything. Lights constantly have many electrical issues. Metals (even ones designed for bathrooms) will stain easily with water marks. Linen sheets are returned 90% of the time because of shedding/pilling issues. The only good thing about all of this damage is the RH return policy, but the main issue with the return policy is that nearly everything returned (and there are lots of returns), gets SENT STRAIGHT TO THE TRASH!

EDIT: We're very happy with the furniture. One product didn't quite meet our expectations, and RH returned it at no charge. Once it was identified that there were some billing inconsistencies from cental billing, local RH retail staff worked diligently with us to provide the appropriate refund/credit. Thanks Jessica! We believe we're happy with the furniture--haven't received it yet--however beware of the payment process with RH. #1 They don't charge you until the product ships, and if the USD-CAD changes dramatically during this time, your effective price also changes. #2 The mess that is created in the sloppy record keeping between quoted price and the price you are charged, makes it very difficult to audit what was charged to your credit card. We purchased close to $50K USD in furniture, across a large number of pieces. Our records indicate that we were overcharged between $3500 and $4000. Between the salesperson, the store manager and the accounting department, it has been a nightmare to get the money refunded. The sad thing is that had we not gone to the effort to audit the RH withdrawals from our credit card, this overcharge would never have been caught!

I love this store as I love the company and their outlet store in Morgan Crossing. This company taught me what patience is (insert sarcasm) and acquiring the pieces that I really wanted became an exciting adventure and now every piece has its own story. In spite of minor challenges, customer service never disappointed. Again, this store is just a showroom so treat is as such.Yes, I would have, too, loved to have the small items (non furniture) ready for purchase. Maybe one day.

Very frustrated. I looked up Restoration Hardware online and found the store I wanted which is located on Granville Street, Vancouver BC. Showed the front of the store and everything. Clicked on to their website to look at towels. Because the picture of the store was featured on the ad whose website I clicked, and because there was no warning otherwise, I assumed I was in a Canadian website. Found several towels I liked and decided to purchase them online. Because it was Black Friday/Monday they were offering $100 off for orders $500 or more, I was able to achieve that discount. I was rather pleased with myself, went through check out and was done. A few days later I decided to track my package. In doing so I could see my invoice which stated that I was being charged USD. I was furious! No where anywhere did anything say that I was in a US website and of course I assumed that I would be paying CDN. I called and complained. No one seemed shocked, surprised, taken aback. Seemed like a regular occurrence. So I cancelled my order and that was that. Then I got a phone call saying that they couldn't cancel my order as it had already began processing but that it would arrive at my door, someone would contact me and send a personal driver to pick it up but I would not be charged. Okay fine. A few days later my husband and I were across town and drove by Restoration Hardware. I quickly ran in to see if I could find the towels that I wanted in CDN. There they were! The beautiful colours that I so wanted. Took forever to find someone to help me and when I did find someone I was told that I couldn't take the towels away with me because they were only for display purposes. I would need to order them from the store, at which point the store would order them online for me at USD and they would be shipped to me. I have NEVER heard anything more stupid in my life! What is the point of the store in the first place? Just mail people catalogues! It would be cheaper then paying rent for a store front! So here I sit with a large RH box full of towels that I really want but will not pay for. Feeling nervous that this will not resolve well when I read the other reviews on this site. DON'T SHOP AT THIS STORE

Great Staff, very helpful, very friendly - HOWEVER, this company needs to recognize they are operating in CANADA now and NOT to advertise their in-store prices in AMERICAN DOLLARS on the show room floor. Unreasonable, unfriendly, over-hyped store. We had to chase down someone to help us, and once we got her attention - we were sorry. She snatched her "special leather-bound ipad" away to ensure I didn't touch it with my greasy commoner finger. Made us feel unwelcome and in the way, even though we were willing and ready to spend big $ to furnish our new house. We've extensively researched and bought furniture from many stores. We have really enjoyed working with Restoration Hardware. Everyone at the RH store in San Francisco and Palo Alto has been very helpful and attentive. We have been updating our San Francisco Condo and had requested some design recommendations. Both Lauren, the manager, in San Francisco and Anita, the design consultant in Palo Alto, have made excellent suggestions and have been very thoughtful in considering our needs. Lauren has gone above and beyond in accommodating our requests and has made sure that we have been happy with our decisions. Ryan, Lauren's assistant, and the other individuals working at both stores have been friendly and accommodating. We have been very happy to have chosen Restoration Hardware to furnish our home in San Francisco.

We have been delighted, consistent customers of Restoration Hardware for many years. However, after a recent experience with RH online we will likely not buy again. We purchased six sheet metal planters for our foyer covered on three sides, 4 years ago for an average of $150 each. Today we returned home to their having collapsed from rust. After calling RH and speaking with two supervisors we were told that this is to be expected and a natural occurrence with no redress. This is to say that after spending nearly $1000 for planters they are expected to last four years. So much for standing behind your products.

I've shopped RH online and at several location around the US. Buying furniture can be intimidating and confusing with all the options. We had a wonderful experience working with Leslie at the Henry Adams location. She was very helpful and patient with all our needs.

Purchased over $7200 in custom window coverings for customer. 2 pieces (price $990.04) had manufacturing defects: RH Customer Service ignores my requests for expediting exchange, offers nothing in the way of customer compensation (e.g. substitute window covering), and are unaccountable for their defective products. After 3 weeks still waiting for replacement products, without any assurance this will ever happen. BUYER BEWARE: RH has no concern for their customers, produces defective products, and no accountability to their customers. Its a risk to do business with them. Try the Shade Store, at least corporate communicates promptly.

This company sent us an obscene, mammoth package of 13 catalogs weighing about 10 lbs, completely unprompted. If I was ever going to buy anything from them, they just made sure I would not. In today's age where everything is available online and consumers shop, share and find information with a click of a button, why commit such an environmental faux-pas? I cannot imagine how many trees were felled to send these unwanted gigantic catalogs.

I have to admit, the stuff is really really cool. But 1) It is RIDICULOUSLY expensive 2) You can't redeem gift cards online. Really? Really 3) Had to modify an order in the store. Well they had to cancel and re-order to make a simple change. So we were charged twice. Rest assured the charge for the change went through quickly. The refund? Not so much. They said several business days. Many business days later, where is my refund? Had to call and remind them. Then they said oh, sorry it'll be a few business days. Then it wasn't fully refunded, the amount that was paid with a gift card wasn't refunded. That had to be sent back as a gift card which would take weeks. This also meant the gift card that I initially used couldn't be put towards the purchase. Fabulous. 4) The stuff we bought was terribly built. A hang-down lamps used set-screws to adjust the height of the cord. About 50% of the threads in the set screw holes were botched. The problem was compounded by driving cheap plastic set screws into the hole, stripping out the heads on the screws making the height adjustment inoperable. So, I'm fine paying a premium for cool stuff, but at that premium the rest of the experience should not be so sloppy.

I've read comments that restoration hardware s furnishings are expensive but it really depends on how you look at it. For example you might pay $299 for a simple child s tricycle but it is likely that in your lifetime and then in your childs lifetime, you will never have to repair or even replace that tricycle. Another example , you may pay $3,500 for a chesterfield but you will likely never need to repair or replace it. So you figure that you normally would e buying a new couch every 6-8 years, right? The couch will start to fade or the surface will rip or stretch, the frame will start to sag or you may simply change your decor. You figure each time you buy a couch you may spend 900-1500 plus taxes and delivery (Not to mention the time it takes to find one). In the long run, you will spend much less initially by purchasing a chesterfield which has a classic style and will endure if not exceed the test of time. Now if you are the type of person who would prefer to buy a couch and keep it for a few years the. This RF may not be for you. You decide.

Horrible experience - worst purchasing decision we ever made. While the furniture appeared nice, overall in comparison to similar stores it was very overpriced for the quality. Additionally, we had multiple delivery and billing issues with our accounts being debited without permission upon furniture being shipped to the warehouse. The sales reps at the store were worthless, with no sense of follow-up, thus unable to assist with anything constantly blaming their system or the customer support folks they were dealing with on the phone. It has been several months now of us requesting a simple statement showing all the purchases, debits and promotion credits, nothing yet with no firm apology. Lastly, the delivery company RH uses, is horrible ... they severely damaged our office wall and floors while putting up a bookshelf. DO NOT RECOMMEND AND WE'LL NEVER PURCHASE FROM AGAIN! BUYERS BEWARE ... overpriced furniture with horrible service!!

I purchased a St James 5 drawer dresser in January 2013 from online. It was delivered promptly and was very beautiful. Three months later, I noticed that the front of one of the side panels was splintering and cracking. The side panel appeared to be shifting out. I called Customer Service. They were excellent. They credited my account the cost of the dresser, shipped out a new one, and the delivery people set it up and took the old one away. From phone call to delivery it was about 10 days for them to make it right. I am very pleased with the service. All of the rest of the furniture I have purchased from them is well built, so I am going to assume that this particular item was defective. I would definitely return to the store to purchase more items because they listen to their customers.

I found this location to have amazing customer serve. I have now been in with all my different questions, returns, purchases and style consulting and every time I had an amazing sales person be so kind and patient with me. Their products are amazing and I find fairly priced, especially when things are on sale, with that being said quality furniture is not cheap no matter where you go. Their products are of high quality and have the perfect blend of rustic chic. I would highly recommend going to this location.

Worst Customer Service Ever!! I've bought a lot of furniture from this company. Just called their customer service number and after listening to a ridiculous on hold message the voice then says, "hang up NOW!"!!! It then proceeds to say this over and over then you hear what sounds like a loud jet plane taking off. It's beyond bizarre. Once RH gets your money they completely forget about you. I'm done buying anything from them. My furniture has been at the delivery warehouse for at least two weeks and they won't deliver it. Awful Service!!!

I'm surprised by the negative reviews. We spent a significant amount of time on two visits deciding what furniture to order and experienced excellent, friendly, informative service both times. They even proactively worked through some issues placing our order using a class action lawsuit coupon. The corporate customer service also very professionally resolved an issue when it appeared that one piece of our order was not ready yet, and the delivery guys were great too. I just went back into the store today b/c I had a concern about what was delivered. They took my concerns seriously, and are looking into the matter. I have no doubt that they will follow up as promised. What I really appreciate is RH seems to be the type of company that hires people who take their jobs and customer service seriously. They are professional, reliable and pleasant to deal with, and I'd be happy to shop there again.

First time going to the store; wife and I purchased a bedroom set. It was in stock and we were called for delivery the next day. Enjoyed the store very much; and everyone was professional and kind. Reason for 4 stars is the delivery charge was $200 and it was not white glove....There were no gloves used by these two guys who had trouble handling my Queen Sovn mattress and box. I provided the shoe covers to one of the guys (the other had his). I had no idea where these guys had their hands before handling my $6k Sovn set (l hope they washed their hands after a bathroom use). For a $200 local delivery, we would have been better off hiring the high end delivery service we have used on our own before. Designer's Delivery delivered our Sovn mattress for $100 charge and used gloves (a true white glove delivery service for less!) For the $6k bedroom set we purchased from RH, they really need to up their game in their choice of delivery vendors. We will continue to buy from RH because we love their products; though we will have our former delivery guys bring it home.

Great design, and store personnel has been very helpful. However, the table we ordered was not level, and several of the chairs were misaligned. Waited for weeks on at least two occasions, then received a call the day of the delivery indicating that the furniture didn't pass quality inspection. Considering the price you pay for the furniture, I think there are many better options out there, and would think that the post-order customer service and delivery process would be much better. I just processed a full return, not because we didn't like it, but because it's been 6 months since we processed the order, and still don't have it right, after multiple calls and failed scheduled deliveries. Something to consider before purchasing any items from this company. It's really too bad, because we really liked the items, but expect to sit in level chairs and at a level table, and not wait 6 months to get it right. I hope you have a better experience, if you choose to order from RH.

Most of the items in there are severely damaged yet they are only marked down 30%. There was a "Pharmacy" medicine cabinet with a huge dent...30% off. There was an "Odeon" vanity with major finish damage that would require caulking, filling and a new coat of paint...30% off. Thanks but I'd rather pay the extra 30% versus having some busted up item. Anything that is damaged should be like 70% off from the start. If it's just an overstocked or discontinued model then 30% makes sense. I don't know who is buying this busted mechandise. It's crazy! I wouldn't even call it an outlet. It's more like a pile of junk that has been dropped down a few flights of steps.

I typically only shop at this store around the holidays because it offers a lot of unique white elephant gifts/stocking stuffers. My complaint isn't about this location in particular, but about Restoration Hardware's return policies in general. RESEARCH the return policies before you make any purchase you think you might return. For a Christmas gift I went in the store and bought a very large scrabble board that with tax came out to be somewhere around $240 and I paid with cash. On Christmas morning my dad opens up the box to find a completely damaged board that looked like all of the wood was warped - the surface was bouncy, broken in areas, and completely uneven. I went to the store and intended to exchange it but of course it was out of stock in store. I decided to do an online exchange but they wanted to charge my credit card for a new one and would do the return on a separate transaction. I told them I didn't want to have a charge on my card and asked since I paid in cash if they could return it on a merchandise card and pay for it that way - they said they could not do that. So I decided to do a complete return and not even try to exchange and that's when they tell me that if you pay over $100 in cash they cannot refund you in the store, they have to mail you a check that takes 2-4 weeks to deliver. This policy is stated on the back of the receipt but you DO NOT know this until you've already completed your purchase! Since I had no other choice I agreed to get this mailed check - OF COURSE after we complete the process they tell me that the checks are processed on the 15th of each month. Today is the 30th. So the earliest I can get my money returned to me is a full month away at the end of January - but after doing research on other customer's reviews it sounds like in most cases it takes the full 4 weeks to be delivered so I'll most likely get it around Valentine's Day. This is RIDICULOUS.

Very late delivery of furniture. Late July, I ordered an entire new LR of furniture, including 2 couches and leather chair. Furniture scheduled to be delivered late September. In early September, I was informed it would be late October. Bummer, but I can deal with it. In early October, I called and was told October 21st. A week later, I called again to check on it. It is now scheduled for early to mid-December, which is 4 months after purchase and 2 months late. I don't have faith that it will even show in December (e.g., how does an estimated delivery date change in one week's time from October 21st to December?). No one at RH has any answers on why delayed -- it's kind of ridiculous/sad that a furniture company has so little information on its own vendors and production schedule. When I asked RH customer service to speak to a supervisor, they came back and said they would be glad to have a supervisor speak with me, but they will go ahead and refund my money if I want. It's telling when RH knows it has messed up so badly that it offers to refund my money for CUSTOM furniture without me even asking. Frankly, if I treated my clients this poorly and with this bad of service, I wouldn't be able to afford RH furniture because I wouldn't have any clients. Very, very disappointed, as I have four parties upcoming and nowhere for people to sit. (One bright side is the interior designer at local RH store -- Jenn is great).

So this location is...fascinating. Part show room, part cafe, part wine bar. The central part of the first floor is a busy courtyard cafe, which often leads to people who are waiting for a table to sit around in the furniture. There is also a wine bar in the corner so you could even just come and get wine and lounge on the sofas with friends. This makes furniture shopping a bit difficult though since people are hanging out on all the pieces. You can't actually buy anything here as it's all custom made, so the sales people will work with you to choose fabrics and show you the pieces, but will ultimately be placing the order via the website.

The merchandise is beautiful and often RH has styles not easily available elsewhere in Toronto. Unfortunately, as others note, the staff make me reluctant to shop here. Even when I have pre-selected what I want from the website, and phoned ahead, it is hard to make a purchase. The social conversations between pairs of staff members, the lack of eye contact, even the absence of verbal response to my questions are really frustrating. I can't think of any other place I go where I am treated worse. Maybe the management does not care, but these are easily solved problems: Ask staff to smile, make eye contact, acknowledge when they are spoken to, say please and thank you. You can't do anything about the exchange rate or border issues, but you can do something about this.

Had to exchange it 3 times (each time getting dinged with a new exchange rate) the stain around the panels is not consistent, creating white lines of raw oak . Dreadful experience. Not acknowledged by any members of staff in the bed and bath section. I waited patiently for 10 minutes while they dealt with other customers but not one person bothered to look at me and acknowledge I was waiting. I spoke to the two greeters at the entrance who smiled at me condescendingly and offered me wine and cookies as an apology. No, I just wanted to spend some money in your store (or rather 'gallery' as they so pretentiously call it). Just because I'm wearing jeans and a t-shirt, doesn't mean I don't have money to spend. Poor Restoration Hardware (or RH as it's pretentious CEO would like you to use now) - what used to be an amazing store is now an empty shell, a showroom of oversized, dark, depressing furniture better suited for a vampire lair than anyone's home. Nothing is in stock in the store, err I mean "Gallery" - most towels, dishes, flatware, and hardware have to be ordered now which makes a physical location useless. Why bother to go there when they don't have anything in stock? Oh and good luck trying to call the Galleria store to ask a question, they won't answer the phone. I tried four times today letting the phone ring until it automatically disconnected and no one ever picked up. It is clear to see why RH's stock price has plummeted. Fail.

I have never had better customer service - love the styles and the people here are great.

Based on the large "pile" of catalogues that were delivered to our home this morning, I intend to NEVER purchase another thing from RH. This delivery package is a totally irresponsible use or our natural resources. If I am in error, I apologize.

This company is more than willing to take your order; However, you WILL have to wait for months before you see your item. The chandelier that we are patiently awaiting won’t be available until late fall for delivery. There isn’t even an image available on the website for the particular size we need. Ridiculous way to run a business!

Never dissatisfied, We have been RH loyal for 7 Years. Our home is basically an RH gallery. Everything is well made and one of a kind. Very solid pics. If its ever on backorder, its worth the wait.

My husband and I just spent several weeks researching RH's linen draperies and rods. Today, we filled out an order. While filling out the order online, the hardware we wanted was not available until June 10th before we finalized the order, once we placed the order, that hardware brackets were backordered to August! We cancelled the order. What a waste of a significant amount of our time! Also, our local RH store did not have fabric samples available for us. When I expressed an interest in having a designer come to our home, the reponse was, "Why don't you can bring in photos of your space and we can work with you here." I can order custom drapery through JC Penney with less hassles than trying to order ready made through RH.

Do not shop here if you need furniture within a short time frame or the time frame they give you. They constantly move the ship date further and the date they give is the day its expected to leave the manufacturing warehouse. Many of the same complaints on the better business bureau website. Will not purchase major furniture from them again.

UNBELIEVABLE experience. The furniture is amazing quality, but it wouldn't be worth the price if it wasn't for the incredible customer service that this store provides. Lindsey was so happy and eager to help. I am beyond pleased.

Lindsay was great to work with. The furniture was quality made and just beautiful. It just fit into the living room and dining room perfectly. The paint palette just made the room.

they used to have some very nice books you could look through (photos from 70x and 80x and etc). the last time I was there -- all educational content was removed. now -- the store looks really depressing.

So helpful and efficient! I needed to order a lot of lights for my wedding and I wasn't interested in paying a large shipping fee by purchasing them online. I called the store and they were instantly able to order the quantity I needed, have them shipped to my house, and waive the shipping fee for me (b/c it is an item they normally stock in the store and did not have the proper quantity in stock). The whole process took less then 5 minutes! :)

If I could spend the rest of my life in this utopia, I would. The atmosphere somehow manages to be exhilarating and tranquil at the same time. Everything is sublime. Whenever I have a near death experience, I instantly think of this store - because I want this paradise to be the last thought on my mind when I die. Being here is the greatest earthly pleasure that I have experienced in my 24 years of life.

Ordered baby bedding for new nursery in April. Received half the order and was told the rest was on back order until June. Never received bedding, and was then told with no notification that backorder date was pushed back to the end of July. Their only remedy was to charge me AGAIN for a temporary set. Ridiculous.

The sales people were still very friendly after I made it apparent that I was just visiting and lustfully drooling over the furniture. I could spend all day here. For such quality and style, the prices are fairly competitive.

An absolutely horrible experience! Bought a double vanity and was told when I went to get the technical drawings that it would take 72 hours to get a response. Okay that seemed fine. Although not having the drawings for a vanity you sell seemed odd. After 72 hours I was told that they did not have them and they would take 5 business days to get them from the manufacturer. Now this seemed stupid. It takes 5 days just to find out where the drains need to be placed for a product that you require to be professional installed. But I wanted....and wanted...I called several times over the 5 day period and was assured that they would have them after 5 days. On the fifth day I called and they said it would take 10 days. I immediately asked to speak to a manager. The manager told me it should only take 5 but she could not tell me why I didn't have them and I need to wait 3 to 5 more to get a response. This is absolutely crazy! Don't ever buy a vanity from them or something that needs to be installed. This is the last purchase I am making with them and I am going to cancel all my other orders I have with them.

Yes, Misha you are exactly right. I couldn't believe the level of entitlement. Really?? I was told they don't carry any bedding inventory. Obviously, I would expect this answer for furniture; however, not for bedding or towels. After the salesperson made my transaction so difficult (an exchange) I had to leave the store and take my chances online. Apparently a simple exchange was beyond the TWO sales people trying to assist. BTW - this is a store not a GALLERY! Pottery Barn just earned my business.
