I have always purchased from Home Depot. My first on line purchases have been in just the last month. Orders went through fine, first delivery was early by a day and the medicine cabinet was safe and sound when it arrived. I am looking forward to tomorrow's deliver of a table top gas grill. It took a day or two longer but came from the West Coast. Lastly I ordered a charcoal smoker that has not shipped yet. The other customers reviews were (and when the smoker arrives will be) very helpful. They all had changes they made to the unit to improve how it works, pretty cool network.I have shopped in HD in South Philadelphia, Ithaca New York and now Hyannis Ma. The folks in all 3 of those stores have always been helpful and pleasant.Thanks

Order process was easy enough, and the delivery was scheduled quickly. Then the box showed up a week early with spot on tracking.
The delivery was securely placed on the front steps (discretely) and I appreciate that so much.
I had received an email from Home Depot that my ordered had been cancelled, I called Home Depot and I was told that after I had placed my order that the prices had gone up on two (2) of the items in my order, the Home Depot person I talked with was very nice and he reordered those two (2) items a shower stall kit and a 2-jet shower tower system and he gave me a discount on my order. I just received a new e-mail from Home Depot stating that my new order has been cancelled for unknown reasons. My current order #C420751260. I'm working on a total remodel of my home and will be buying several more items over next several months, however, I'm now thinking that I might need to look at other places like Lowes or Amazon. By far the best home improvement store as far as selection and experienced personnel. They do not always have the best price so you need to shop around.
The forklift operator has a problem with helping you get stuff off the top shelves. We work him to hard, he has to get a fork lift, a spotter and get them out side to be loaded. HIS WORDS.
I guess I was suppose to get to the top shelf then top of the pallet and get 120 cap stones for my self. The way I look at it is, If he was doing his job, then the pallet would have already been on the bottom level and I wouldn't have needed his help or his sassy mouth at all. I went to Lowes across the street and got my cap stones. Funny Not 1 person there complained and even said thank you as they took my money.
Do yourself a favor and shred your Home Depot card! If they give you interest for 24months and you do not pay in that time, you get an insanely large balloon interest charge at one time! Bought a/c for $5,000+ received in ONE bill an interest charge of $4,000+ They prey upon consumers and will do nothing to help. SHRED YOUR CARD!

I love home depot and go there at least twice a week. They always ask if I need help, I am always greeted when I walk in, the check out is easy and items are usually available. The only issue I have with them are the independent sales people giving a deal on home improvement. I am always approached by them everytime I shop and I find it annoying since I am there so often.
Bought a mantel shelf for my fireplace, I received the package a week later and when I opened the huge and heavy box I came across to a cracked and scratched corner of the mantel shelf, no screws and no touch up paint as mentioned in the instructions. Called customer service and the only 2 options they gave me was to take back the mantel to a home Depot store for a refund ( not full amount paid) or she could do it online for me and it would take 5 or 6 weeks to get the money back. I asked if I had another option as this 2 didn't work for me. After 42 minutes on the phone all they offered was 15 dollars back from the a mount paid and a phone number to contact vendor to ask for touch up paint. When you buy something new and pay for it you expect to get what you asked for , not A scratched item. The least they could have done was to offer to exchange it for a good one. People you should care more about your customers.

I switched from Lowe's to Home Depot . About the ONLY issue I have is that sometimes it's very difficult to find someone to help you, and that's because the staffing is low...I suppose to save money?

I turn houses around. Therefore I spend a lot of life looking for answers to problems. I have found Home Depot the most helpful with my hard to solve issues. They have stopped carrying a lot of better products in the store but some can still be ordered on line and picked up in the store.
Home Depot took over the home improvement business from local stores - forcing them out of business and literally buying their buildings to convert into "Home Depots". At first, they offered good selection and lower prices. But once the local stores were out of business, Home Depot slacked off.
Now, the selection of products is little different than what you can get at the other national chain - Lowes - and probably a little higher priced. And if they don't have it, there is nowhere else to go - they have driven all the competition away.
They have a good return policy, which is very important and well used - the lines at the return counter are just as long as new sales. But just like Lowes, they only stock the mass-produced items, and only support those products with parts and accessories. In most cases, you can get better products at lower prices by going to the right supply house - i.e., Plumbing Supply, Electrical Supply, Lumber yard, Building Supply. There is something to be said for the convenience of having all these things in one place, but you must dig through the lumber to find a straight piece, and make do with whatever fittings you can find to meet your electrical or plumbing needs.
The best section is the garden shop in my opinion, where you can get plants well suited to your area at decent prices compared to local nurseries. But if you want anything out of the ordinary, you'll be out of luck.
These days you have to order everything. Their site is getting easier to use. Love the free ship to store for small items.
after I spending several thousands of dollars, for remodeling my house , home depot refused to refund, or even give store credit for four items that were not used,still in original package, with original receipt ,maybe less than two hundred dollars worth. their reason was a consumer reporting agency called TRE makes the decision not to refund ,exchange, or even store credit. stay away from home depot , shop at lowe's better service and much better refund policy .

The prices are up there but the quality sure counts for it. I mainly dislike the people working here. The website works fine, but for any questions about DIY stuff they all basically tell you that you are an idiot and you HAVE to hire someone else to do it. Will never go into a physical store again for that~
Hate home Depot.com. So many mistakes and calls, Our store, opposite Lowes is way to busy and you need 2 weeks in Hawaii after a visit. Lowes is empty and people are very nice.
Quick easy and accessible to buy home improvement items. Online assistants too, to help with questions. I love it! Never have I had a bad experience.
Most of my shopping experiences have been very good, with a few exceptions.
Other than a few small building projects, I use them primarily for my yard plants, trees, and garden.
Sometime they have the item and it's not display that a pain and very few peoples to help knowledgeable.

Well, delivery was about the same, but I was able to call 1-800-HOME-DEPOT and get someone much faster than the last time I was in the store. Not the worst customer service, not the best.

Home Depot HVAC in Denver has one guy. Yes, one guy & one guy only. For MILLIONS of people. Took two days off work...he called in sick, both days. Are you kidding me? For a service area of millions, Home Depot has ONE guy? Really?
The first women on the phone was apologetic & said "I will give you $10.00 off".
The second cancellation the women was rude to me???
She said "Why don't you go somewhere else?"
Well it was a Saturday...another day I took off & no one...NOT one person in Metro Denver was available. I lost $100.00's of dollars. I am a teacher. This hurts. A LOT!

I do love the daily deals on Homedepot.com. Great deals if you are fixing up your place or building a new house. We have gotten some of the best deals there. Any problems or issues are dealt with at customer service very efficiently.
I ordered washer and dryer and microwave. Told they would deliver on a Friday. Called for window of delivery that morning. Told 1-4. I CALLED at 3 pm as to when products would be delivered. Told around 4:30. I never received a call. I called at 5:45 and told that the truck broke down. I had cancelled clients' appointments and scheduled loading dock for the entire day. Terrible business. I called their main corporate office in Atlanta, GA and will file a complaint with that State's proper offices.
all shopping done in homedepot is a pleasure. they are very knowledgeable and all merchandise is excellent and no prob lems whatsoever if you are returning merchandise. i highly recommend them.

I have spent literally over $11,000 there over the past few years. I tried to return a very few perfect-condition items with no receipt for a store credit. They used to do that all the time. Now they use a service that labels you a fraud. Seriously? Yes, it is their right to change their policies. And it is my right to take my business to Lowes and Menards - where I have never had a problem returning stuff that is in perfect shape for a credit - which I am just going to turn right around and spend again! Also, the return credit is usually less than I paid because of sales. I'm totally fine with that.
Can not tell if incompetence or intentional fraud! multiple entirely inconsistent representations by the various "customer service" representatives about my items ( which lost or misplacedby homedepot.com. What was true or what were lies or ignorance! To make matters worse-- one rep after mistakenly canceling my order despite being told not to do so, attempted to "cover her tracks" by sending an email claiming her action/mistake was "at my request".

Often I feel frustrated navigating the site as there are many duplications of products on the site. I recognize that lumber prices are frequently changing, however it's difficult to often find the most current price online.
Used as a guideline only, the best shopping at home depot is still better in the store rather than online for me.
Why the hell should I pay 22$ for speedier shipping for a product that takes 11 days to reach me ,3 days longer than originally estimated by them .it ships from a state that is run by illegal invaders from Mexico so that would explain it. Asinine. Paul Williams ,NY

I always recommend asking for assistance if you have no clue what you are looking for. And if they person you are talking to doesn't know THEN you are in trouble. Just make sure that you look online before coming so that you have an idea of what you are looking for and what you need. The last thing you want to do is by additional items that you do have a use for.Yeah, it is essentially the Costco for hardware, gardening, and appliances. Buy and bulk so that you do not have to come back for another 3 to 6 months. Happy drilling!!!!
WINDOWS: Ordered Window screens from this store. Great experience in the store... awful experience after I made the purchase. I was told the screens would take 2 weeks to make, ship, and be at the home depot, since they use a third party vendor. 2 weeks passed, no phone calls, emails, nothing. So I had called in.... for three straight days because every time I tried to get a hold of someone in the window department (which I think it one or two people), no one would pick up the phone. I was fed up with being transferred to Windows, I asked someone to find the status of my window screens. Finally, the person on the phone figured out that my window screens had not been made yet at all. Apparently the vendor came back with questions to Home Depot window department, and Home depot never responded!!! They would of never figured this out unless I had called. Needless to say, I called every other day after this to get updates, and they said they would "rush" my screens, and it took two more weeks. So it took a total of a month and a week to get my screens (roughly). Overall I would recommend getting window screens from a window screen store, and NOT home depot. Granted we did it through home depot because we were there getting paint, and fixtures for our new condo. CLOSET: While we ordered the screens from home depot, we also set up an appointment to have a custom closet installed. Closet salesman came. Measured (106 inches floor to ceiling), and drew a closet out for us. We changed a bunch because we needed hanging space and we were told by the salesman, and his associated drawing that we would have a shelf above our hanging space, and an empty space about 10-12 inches to the ceiling that we could also use as storing space. We ordered the 96 inch hangings and would then have a shelf in that, and a space above the hangings. The whole process was to take two months. After we decided to purchase the closet (and paid the same day), we were told we would receive and email so we could ok the layout. Email received, questions sent back to home depot and NO RESPONSE, follow up sent to home depot, and NO RESPONSE. Finally we call and we receive a response. We ordered an extra bridge shelf and paid for the shelf. Finalization of the design took two weeks because we did not receive responses to our inquires and/or emails. We had to pick up the phone and call them, never received a phone call from them to us. With a lot of follow up, we finally receive an installation date. David, who should get his own star here and it the only reason we now have a closet, showed up to install. He measured the closet and low and behold our floor to ceiling is 95!!! Our hangings are 96. Not only will they not fit, but we were under the impression that we would have a shelf and an extra space above the shelf to the ceiling. So basically we lost a whole row (around the whole closet) of shelf (which in San Francisco is a LOT of space). AND the bridge we PRE-PAID for was not there (not in the package detail or anything). At this point I wanted to reject the closet all together. But David said that this happens often (*WHICH IS RIDICULOUS) and that he thinks we can work with what we have. I call to speak with a Manager, Craig. Craig understands, was very nice on the phone, and offered me a 300 gift card for having to redesign my ENTIRE closet on the spot (did I mention I had to take the morning off from work so I could do this). Also, he said they could get me my bridge shelf that day, or the next (as I explained I was not taking another morning off from work because they failed to deliver everything I PAID FOR IN ADVANCE). David and I spent the next hour re configuring the closet. David was fantastic, and he noticed that with the way the closet was set up, we would not be able to even get into the closet through the doorway. We configured everything, WHICH MOVED EVER SINGLE PIECE OF THE CLOSET TO A NEW SPOT. David was amazing. He really did a great job. After David left, and no bridge shelf in site, customer care called. I told them about my experience and having to redesign my "CUSTOM" made closet on the spot, and nothing fitting, and I said Craig offered us a gift card to home depot, and we need the bridge shelf credited to our credit card as WE DID NOT RECEIVE IT. She called me back and guess what, they offered me a gift card for 200. Way to recant what you promised, and drop it by 100, that's incredibly professional. I told this to the customer care rep and she said she would call me back (this was Friday afternoon, and I have not yet heard from her) - as I told her I could not wait on hold because I had already taken so much time dealing with this and had to get back to work. ALL AND ALL DO NOT BUY YOUR CUSTOM MADE CLOSET FROM HOME DEPOT, UNLESS YOU CAN GET THEM TO AGREE AND COME MEASURE AFTER THE SALESPERSON MEASURES. Or unless you want to redesign the entire closet on install day in a matter of 1 hour.
Sunday morning carpet and paint shopping. Staff a bit spread out before 12:30. Looks like management is trying to keep their pro staff at home as long as the can.This is the second time we've purchased carpeting from Home Depot. Both times, it's gone very well. Many of the carpet stocks are maintained by the installer, JW Floor Covering, Inc. Both Home Depot and JW Floor Covering have done a great job on performance, quality, and integrity.I recommend them.
I wish I could give a negative star review for the lack of service at this particular Home Depot. Kept me waiting for 45 minutes only to tell me, "I'm sorry"... there's no one here who can help you design a new kitchen nor answer basic questions about what we can provide. Might as well buyIt all online. What a waste of my time!
I'm doing some remodeling (new laminate flooring, fix some walls, varnish and paint some stuff, replace some wiring, replace door knob, etc.), so I've been shopping here often. Usually I know what I want, so I seldom need any help.If u need help, service can be hit or miss here. Some are super helpful, and a few can be gruff, like the person that seemed annoyed when I asked him to please cut a few feet of chain for me.Compared to previous years, I've noticed that the staff seems to be trying harder to appear more helpful lately. For example, by asking if u need help when u walk into the store.1st floor = drywall, lumber, plumbing, pipes and PVC, doors, gardening, power tools, nuts and bolts, BBQ grills, holiday items, etc.2nd floor = paints, caulk, plaster, flooring, tiles, bathroom and kitchen items, appliances, lighting fixtures, area rugs, dollies, knobs, locks, velcro, etc.I had disposed off an old wall heater that broke down, so I needed to repair the hole it left. I was happy to find that they sell 2'x2' segments of drywall, instead of me having to buy a huge 4'x8' panel of drywall, that wasn't going to fit in my car anyways.I also needed a pair of 2" screws for a replacement handle, because the ones I had were too short. So the bolt thread checker was handy to determine the correct size of screws. Small hardware stores don't have that.Like other HDs, they can duplicate house keys (under $2, I think) and car keys ($39.99-$69.99, varies by car brand). But they have a very limited supply of blanks, so they don't have many types of keys in stock. I always go to Fox Hardware (SF FiDi) for keys.The paint counter can do color match for any sample u bring (must be at least the size of a quarter), or browse thru the color samples on display. That means u can get almost any color paint u may need. That one yelper (V.) who complained about a limited range of paint colors, had no clue about this when she posted her misinformed 1 star review.The bathroom is on the 2nd floor, up the escalator, then turn left (towards the paint dept. counter), at end of aisle 26.
Review is for my experience with the GARDENING department. Great prices, ample selection, and excellent customer service! I read a NASA article recently on recommended house plants that generate AIR, which will improve your quality of sleep. You know, that Vitamin S!! So I called Home Depot to see if they had any Snake Plants in stock and the guy actually went around the gardening section telling me the different sizes and prices they had. Great!! I go in and I find my perfect snake plant ($23 for 11") and perfect pairing ceramic pot ($30 for 11"). The staff are so kind and answered all me questions on how to de-pot my plant and re-pot it in my coral ceramic pot. This is my first house plant ever and so, I'm super conscious and newb at this gardening thing. Went home, re-potted seemlessly with the help of my best friend -- more like I just stood there in awe while she worked her magic. And now I have a beautiful snake plant in my room, giving off CO2 at night to improve my sleep. Loves it!
Rude rude rude. The workers there who are at check out and worker upstairs who covers floor where door bells and house alarms located are disgruntled and abrupt. Not helpful. They offer no assistance. Worker upstairs points in the corner and tells you to go find item. When you try to get information, he tells you that item no longer available and go to another store and see if they have it. The check out woman downstairs in customer service is no better. When you ask for help to get assistance to have someone load things in your car, she says she has a bad back and can't help. Huh? What type of training did these people have? No. No can't call. No can't get you assistance. Basically you are on your own when you go to that store. I won't set foot again at this location. I've tried to overlook the bad attitude and laziness the last 3 times I went to this store, but had enough. Not a way to handle customers or treat people. Rude rude rud.

Im a gay and I live in an a house that's almost 100 years old so basically I'm at HD at least once a week. I prefer the Colma location because it's less busy but I like the people at Daly better. The paint department is awesome. If they can't answer your questions they'll find someone who can. It's the same management at both and it shows.

WARNING: I can only comment on certain areas, I am not a contractor, or a home owner with big projects. I am a renter that likes DIY craft projects!I really like this home depot! it's not the largest, but it has what you need. The areas I visit most are: gardening, lighting, and paint! I like their variety of spray paint, it's pretty big, and they have a tester cardboard out there for you to test!As a woman that looks like she's young and lost in the store, people are always coming up to me and asking me if I need help. Even though most of the time I dont.. It's nice that they ask! When I do have questions, everyone helps me out as much as they can, and if they don't know the answer, they try to find me someone that does! yay!As many times as I have been there, I'm usually in and out within 15 min tops! So not too much of a crowd.
I consider myself to be ultra feminine and the utmost alpha girl, but decided to visit this location to see of there was anything I could purchase for a slow draining tub (probably due to my long luscious locks, hahaha). I purchased a pipe gauger for the tub, but decided it would be too strenuous for me to use, so I decided to call the plumber instead. I came back to return it, but Linh (older Asian lady with glasses and long black hair) from returns was completely rude and refused to accept my attempted return from a purchase I literally made an hour ago. However, she didn't question any returns to the customers before me. The patches on her vest said "certified returns specialist for 10 years" and "customer service" expert. What a joke! I suggest management offers Linh some courses in Customer Service Excellence. 0 stars for Linh in Returns. Management needs to train their employees on how to offer better customer service. Also, poor response time in the bath aisle upstairs. An associate paged for help to locate shower chairs but no one showed up ....
This is probably the biggest Home Depot I've ever been too!Problem is, even though it is a two story large size, it's hard to find the specific products you are looking for. Average assortment of products, but the size we were looking for was the only one missing on backorder.Pros:-Huge size of the store-Escalators and huge elevators to get to the second floor-Lots of workers along each aisle-Products are organized well with large, clear signs hanging-Self-checkoutCons:-Parking is horrible-Only one disabled parking available-Too roomy, space could be filled with more products
This is a great Home Depot!First of all, its HUGE! Two stories of home improvement goodness. It's never crowded and there are always plenty of workers to help you and direct you to where you need to go.'Nuff said?!
Came to the garden center looking for supplies to transplant my starters into a larger space. The garden space featured a good variety of flowering plants and also a variety of plant supplements and planters. However, if you are looking for supplies at a smaller scale, you'll actually have to find your way inside the main store...which I had to wander about and find out myself. At no point did any of the 4 employees in the garden center offer their help. A bit of an inconvenience...but I was in no rush so it didn't really bother me.Prices are pretty fair, a pretty sturdy (plastic) window planter, 8 oz of soil, and some plant food cost me just over $10.Parking is convenient, but towards the front, most of the spots are taken up by contractors and their ginormous pick-up trucks. Your best chance would definitely be off to the side by the garden center if you want parking closer to the store.
Great place for tools , plants , and even some automotive . The overall building is very large and slightly overbearing, but great place and great service in the end .
Only good if you know exactly what you need and where in the store to find it. For the most part, the people that work there are either useless or rude, or both. I was given the runaround on more than one occasion. Nobody seems to want to do their job there. Better off going to the Colma store.
Been here multiple times and typically get excellent customer service. On the weekends when the place is packed, the staff can be a little frank but that is to be expected. I would definitely recommend going here before or after work instead. I have had staff walk around with me to make sure that I find the exact product I am looking for and call the home Depot in Colma for me if they are out of stock or no longer carry that item. The staff let me take a bunch of carpet samples when I was afraid that my bed supports would scratch the hardwood floors in my apartment. Always cut keys perfectly, the same can not be said for the Lowes on Bayshore. This store can not be beat for quick and friendly service.
Worst home Depot ever! Went through self checkout and had an item that wouldn't scan. No one knew what the part was (4" dryer duct), so they sent someone back to get the skew number for it. We waited for about 25 minutes (with a line of people behind us impatiently waiting to use self check out also) before I decided to run back and get one with a better tag to scan (took me less than a minute). I saw the one they brought back with them in a cart that was for restocking, but no sign of the employee who went back there to "help" us. The lady employee in the self check out area could barely speak english, and while we waited she was misunderstood by nearly all of the people coming through the line, and she was rude to the people who didn't understand her.Overall a horrible home Depot experience, and no apology from her even though she had us waiting for 25 minutes, while my toddler fussed from boredom. I am a plumber and I use home Depot all the time in Sonoma County. I will avoid this location next time I am in San Francisco helping my family fix something, and I recommend that you avoid them also!Advice: hire some competent employees Home Cheapo!!!! Sheesh!

Masa has patiently helped me each time. He is very knowledgeable pointing out specific makes and models of refrigerators, ranges and microwaves. He has given me all the feature functions and benefits to help me make an informed decision.Masa always provides excellent customer service. Once again I was there today finally purchasing the microwave. He patiently walk me around the store and help me pull the parts I needed to have it properly installed.He also help me with a concern regarding my existing dryer.I can't say enough great things about Masa, so if you ever need assistance in the appliance department be sure and ask for Masa!
This review is just for our last experience ordering floor tile and having it delivered. Most times we can pop in and find what we want and everyone is helpful. In this case we wanted a tile that we know is popular and often runs out. We are a contractor that do bath renovations and we used the same tile on our last job. Our new customer saw the pictures of the installed floor and chose the same tile for their bath. The jobsite is in Hawaii Kai so we came in to order, pay and schedule the tile to be delivered. We had lots of lead time and were proactive and made arrangements early. Dusty in flooring checked their inventory and it showed 15 cases in stock and we needed 10. We had her write up an order and paid it in full and included the $79 for delivery. We asked her to pull the tile off the floor so someone does not come in and buy our tile.We just so happened to be in the store the very next day and walked past the flooring department. The pallet of the tile we ordered looked exactly the same as the day before. This caused us to worry so we found Dusty and she remembered us. We asked if she pulled our tile off the sales floor. She went on her computer and did her thing and told us yes, our tile was pulled and it should be somewhere in their back room. I told her that if they had 15 cases of the tile and pulled out our 10 cases, there shouldn't be that much left on the floor. She said that more tile must have come in and she assured us that our tile was pulled and set aside for us. Okay, we told ourselves to have faith!We should have listened to our little inner voice! Dusty told us that their delivery department would call an hour ahead of the delivery. Just in case, I called to try and narrow down the time and make sure one of our workers was on site to receive the tile and bring it in the house. If you have ever tried calling Home Depot, then you know how long you have to wait on hold until you finally get a live person. Finally after what seemed an eternity, I got through and they told me that someone would call and they couldn't give me a delivery time. Guess what? Yup, no call and no delivery. Next day, I called again, got put on hold, again, and then I finally got through. The woman I spoke to said that she didn't know what happened, but will check and call me right back. She did call back in fifteen minutes and told me...wait for it...they could''t find the tile and they were out of stock!!! She said that they would have to get it from the Kapolei store and the delivery person would drop off the tile in the evening. I told her that our workers went home and we couldn't have the homeowner carry the tile so please leave it in the carport. She said the driver would call when he was making the delivery. Next day: no tile, no call. I called again, held on phone again, and finally got through to the same woman I spoke to yesterday. She said she would again check for us and have the delivery manager call me back in 20 minutes. Richard called me back and said that we won't be able to get delivery until next Tuesday (this was Wednesday). He said Kapolei is shut down until Monday for inventory and cannot do any store transfers! My only option if we want the tile sooner is to go to the Kapolei store and buy the 10 cases and pay for it again. Then we can take the tile with us and then go back to the town store and get a refund! What the...! I guess that's what we'll have to do. We took out our poor customer's bathroom and we can't wait another week for Home Depot to get their act together. We will think twice about having Home Depot do any more deliveries for our jobs!Update: Team Home Depot contacted me through Yelp to request the details of our order to look into improving service. At least there is an effort to improve things.
I really want to like Home Depot more. I love the wide selections from every department, and their sales people are very helpful and knowledgeable. BUT every time I order bigger projects from here, the delivery has always been frustrating. Almost a year and a half ago I ordered blinds from them for my parents' house. Measurements were taken and order was placed. However I was told because of the size of the order, delivery would take a couple months. That ended up to be a few months, and when the delivery finally arrived, it was someone else's order. Following up on the order status was frustrating, and I was told a couple times by customer service that they had no idea where my order went. When I insisted that I was canceling my order all together, a more proactive attitude was provided but the customer service rep still missed her phone call appointment with me as promised. I finally decided I had waited way too long for their customer service to take action and provide answers, and the best solution was just canceling the order. A month later, I went to Home Depot again to order two linoleum floors. When the floor was picked up, the rep didn't read instruction clearly and gave us one big piece of flooring instead of two separate floors. Not really a big deal but just another bad experience with Home Depot.I have always liked going to Home Depot for smaller projects, and I love how it's pretty much a one stop shop for everything. But ordering anything (that's not already at the shop) and installation seem to always be problematic. I hope they get better because I really do want to like the store!
This Home Depot is located next to Costco on Alakawa Street. I like coming to this location over others because there is always plenty parking and the staff has always been helpful.
Located right next to Costco, Home Depot is a great place to come in and get items for home improvement and construction as long as you know exactly what you need and what aisle of the store to find it down to the shelf, otherwise good luck. Even coming in at non-peak hours, lately, it has become difficult to find someone willing to help you and not make you feel judged and out of place. Came in to get a piece for a socket wrench, came out with the wrong thing. Me and my friend also spent around ten minutes looking for something else, only to give up and leave empty handed. All that being said though, the place is still better than the Lowe's next door and cheaper than City Mill.
Recently my parents asked for a new washer so I went down to The Home Depot after checking out another store. It was getting to about closing time and they were still busy in the appliance section which is a good sign. After looking through their inventory, I flagged down one of their appliance specialists to help answer some questions. His name was Danluo and was quite helpful in explaining the promotions going on at the time and giving us the measurements of the washer. Since they were closing, I decided to weigh the options and measure first before making any purchase.I went home and ran the numbers of the washer I was planning to purchase. Both stores had the exact model so it came down to the final purchase price. Ultimately, The Home Depot was a few dollars cheaper so I decided to purchase it from them. Yes, I know...it's only a few dollars but hey, a dollar saved is a dollar earned! The next morning, I had just enough time between meetings to run down and purchase the washer. Danluo wasn't working but Masa assisted me with the purchase. He was extremely helpful and friendly which is the reason why I'm updating my review to give them 5 stars! Masa spent time to go over and explain everything in detail which gave me great confidence that I made the right choice in purchasing here. He went above and beyond right before checkout by asking his supervisor for additional discount! Hamid was the supervisor on duty that approved an additional 10% off! So on top of the promotional 10% off, I received another 10% off the item! Then when I thought it couldn't get any better, I got the hoses for the washer at about 35% off from retail price! Total savings was about $200 from the other store and I love this Masa guy now. Will definitely go back to him at The Home Depot for all my future appliance purchases!
Ugh when will the series of hurricanes, cyclones, and tropical depressions going to stop veering in the direction of Hawaii? Seriously, every time one does, its record breaking hot and it blocks our trade winds! We just renovated our home and having AC installed was a must, so off to home depot we went to check out units. Home Depot always has the best deals and this Home Depot has been a go to, for months during our renovation. I did not know that this was a vortex that sucked up a lot of your time on a weekly basis. One of our visits was 5 hours long, going over products and materials with our contractors. We did a full gut and renovation of every room in our home so we spent time getting quite the education from EVERY department. I felt as though I could go onto one of those HGTV renovation shows and flip a house myself!Everyone was so helpful and didn't make us feel like an idiots by patiently answering all of our questions and took LOTS of time to find us inventory on those scary ladders. Much props to their training programs, it's working because the employees here know of what they are talking about and all seem to have done the work they speak of on their own homes.We have to give a shout out to Richard in the tile section. We picked his brain multiple times about our kitchen and bathroom tiles. One of our contractors was also giving us a hard time about changing the bathroom tile designs we wanted and dimensions and Richard said something so perfect "You have to love your renovation. Love over time becomes like, like becomes hate. If you only like it now, you will eventually hate it, so you have to hit the highest possible love it in the beginning." That was all my fiancé needed to hear to make our contractor stop his hissy fit.We did the will call thing a bunch of times, and on our first major will call order for a contractor, home depot didn't have it ready. To make up for it they delivered all materials to our home immediately, which I am sure my contractor was happy about because the boxes of tile we purchased were like 50 lbs each and he didn't have to carry them. Customer service recovery here is quick.I love their kids workshops we saw on our numerous trips here. It's a great free community event they do in their parking garage (I think monthly) to introduce kids, 5-12 to their own do it yourself craft projects. My fiancé and I joked that if we have kids we should make each one do a different trade, there is serious money to be had here (we could start a business lol) and it's helpful having an electrician or plumber in the family! If you're not in the trades or construction home depot has really practical Do It Yourself workshops. The fiancé and I signed up for a bunch of classes (these are free!) in October, so I'll update to let you know of how they are, but it's nice to know and be able to do minor stuff yourself and not have to call in handy man for $200 per hour!A lot of people think that Home Depot is just a place to pick up appliances, construction and building supplies, but it's a wealth of free renovation and home project knowledge to help you brain storm ideas and fix problems. This Kalihi Home Depot is a must for your next home project!
In general, we love HD. Hallie was a great help in placing a quartz counter-top order. However, after 11 weeks there's still no projected date for completion. I should have paid more and gone somewhere that would actually complete the job since I've lost so much money with my apartment sitting empty.
We needed just a small piece of wood for a small project. We went to Home Depot first because the person I was with has been a loyal customer of theirs for years. Now, I understand at 9pm the workers want to go home (store closes at 10pm) but customer service should be great from open to close. Well, let me tell you, it was HORRIBLE! No one was helpful or polite. The worst person was the guy in the lumber department. He was cold, disrespectful, and just plain rude. Well, we took our business out of there right away. We ended up next door at Lowe's, where the entire staff was great! We were treated how customers, and people in general, should be treated! Note: Sorry Home Depot, but something has to change before I take my business back to you guys!
All I wanted was a short extension cord at 11am.That was not a good time to visit home depot. I will tell you why. 1. No one told me parking will be full.2. uniformed professionals were chowing down their lunch in the parking lot (poor thing)3. Only uniformed professionals were getting their work things and shopping4. Busy like Christmas season5. Felt out of placeUnless you're a professional, don't visit home depot at 11am on a weekday like me. You may be in their way.
So I've always come to Home Depot for minor things like light bulbs, cleaning supplies, etc. I am not really a "weekend home improvement warrior" like others out there. However, since buying my first apartment, I have found myself here on multiple occasions.I wonder if the Iwilei Home Depot is #1 in the nation like Iwilei Costco and Kahala CPK? It's almost always busy especially in the morning to mid-day when you see tons of contractors buying supplies (plyboard, drywall, tools, etc.) for their jobs. My friends who do this type of work always say Home Depot has the professional stuff and their tool brands are better than Lowe's; however, not being a professional, I really haven't seen the difference. One exception is I wanted smart LED lights and ONLY Home Depot carries Philips Hue light bulbs (pricey but we love how we can change the mood in our small apartment with different color lights).Done a bunch of small things but mainly hired a contractor to do my kitchen backsplash and build a closet system. Everytime I've been, the employees have been really friendly and knowledgeable. Notice prices were higher for backsplash ceramic tile (about the same for glass) but Lowe's had a bigger selection of glass tile. Docking one star because they are doing construction in the parking lot and its crazy to find a stall during peak hours and entrance and exit off Alakawa street is sometimes crazy (mainly Costco's fault).
I must say.......this is one of my favorite stores to go to. I don't know if it's a MAN thing.........even if I cannot do all the things on home improvement, at least I can be around the tools, & man junk!So, recently we are doing some major renovations at our house........and it appears Home Depot has been my 2nd home (as of recently).Picking up stuff here & there to fix up the house, recently I went there to buy a new toilet, as our old one has been ripped out.I must say how funny it is about father time...........just a few years ago when I had to move stuff.......like someone at the bank told me to move a 1500 pound safe by myself.....no problemo for me. When I bought our last T.V. and it was over 200 pounds, bear hugged it & walked it up 45 flights of stairs.........no problemo! Now it's 2014............and father time must be slowly creeping up on me. Upon buying the toilet & coming home, I pulled my car up right in front of the gate, so I could easily unload the toilet. Upon bear hugging the toilet I noticed the box said toilet weighed 90 to 100 pounds. Really? Does a toilet really weigh that much????The answer to that is............YES IT DOES! Man, I must be out of shape as I was carrying it up step by step, huffing & puffing my way up to the house. Upon finally getting it up there............there was a sense of accomplishment! :)I was back again last night to pick up some wood floor laminates for the living room, & hallway.........I can't tell you how many boxes I bought up.........but it was A LOT! After that, there was no need to go to the gym to work out.........as I totally blew my wadd! Upon carrying it up the stairs again........I was sweating like a PIG, and huffing & puffing again! (I better see my fitness idol Renee S. about joining the Egan Inoue thing.............hummmmmmm, I'd better think twice! Lol!).Anyways..........this is my last review for 2014, as the year is ending, May I take this time to personally wish all my ohana, friends, & especially all my Yelp buddies in internet la la land a Happy & Healthy New Years! Be safe............if you drink, don't drive..........if you do have to drive after drinking......use one eye (it tends to work better! Buwahahahaha!).

Customer service here is fantastic!! While we were wandering here, multiple friendly employees asked us if we needed help. "If you need any help, just let us know!!" Not only that, they knew exactly where everything I needed was. Amazing!!! Prices are great too!
I thought that these people were supposed to know their shit. When I asked some guy about which PVC pipe would be a good replacement for the bell siphon in my aquaponic system, he gave me a blank stare and walked away. Smh.
I have been building a mini aquaponics garden for my classroom so I've been frequenting many hardware shops lately and I wasn't overly impressed with the store. The prices where better than the other places I went to, but the service was much worse. When I was looking for PVC pipes and attachments the store was really unorganized and I couldn't find anything. I found a guy to help me but he had no idea where anything was either, so we both say in the isle for 15 minutes searching for the parts I needed until I just left.The guy that was helping with the PVC was nice but useless, the next worker I encountered was when I needed a water pump. She was also useless and she wasn't even nice like the last guy, she just kept snapping at me. I still bought most of my stuff from them because I'm a poor teacher and can't afford to pay the higher prices at the other hardware stores, but I definitely got what I payed for in terms of the service. 2 stars only because the first useless guy was nice and the prices where good.
With the addition of the tool rental shop taking up valuable parking space..at least FIX THE ELEVATORS!!!
Went to Home depot to look for some major appliances since my mom refurbished part of her house recently. The guys at the appliance were super friendly and helpful but unfortunately the models we wanted were about 1 month on back order. We moved on to the window covering department to look at some blinds and decided on some vertical ones. You know the old adage that you can never find someone when you need them? Well, there was no sales associate to be found but then after a few minutes, out came this woman that I recognized from previous visits who works in the home decor department. She told me that the area was her department and it was her job to help us. After picking the colors, size and quantity, she had to custom cut the pieces which she started to do with the top rails. Once this was done, she only had to cut 5 packages of the blinds and while doing so, she suddenly looks up and tells me "I need to get this and I will be right back" and walks off. After about 15 minutes of waiting, I was thinking like.....what the %$#!??? So I walked over the service desk and I see her sitting down typing up something on her PC and a customer sitting at her desk. I was totally floored and flabbergasted! I decide to give her another 5 minutes and when she didnt return, I walked over only to see her get up with the other customer and walk to look at samples.We then threw our hands up and decided to leave the store which was followed up with a phone call to the store and spoke to Fran who is one of the managers. She seemed as surprised as I was about the whole situation but was super understanding and offered to help me get what I needed. I asked if she could get the remaining pieces cut and have it at the Will call counter since I was in no mood to see the sale associate again. She personally called me and told me that the items were ready when I returned to the store. 5 yelps for FRAN and 0 yelp for the associate!Fran brought me back and I am happy I spoke to her.
This review is only applicable to Home Depot's location on Alakawa Street.Home Depot is a good place to get your supplies if you're in the market for a DIY or home improvement project. It is not an easy store to shop but rather a "help yourself while shopping in the store" kind of a place. I can handle going to Home Depot if I know exactly what I want or when I have a "to buy" list or be hopeful I can capture an employee associate in the event I need assistance. Even when I have a list in hand, locating a certain item can be a challenge. As a frequent customer of Home Depot, I say this because they are constantly understaffed and Home Depot is not known for their speedy service. The store is massive; they carried some household appliances; a large selection of custom or off-the-shelf cabinets; various electrical apparatuses; flooring choices ranging from carpeting to vinyl; enough paint shades to color all the rainbows in Hawaii, lots of gardening tools, flowers, plants, soil, all kinds of high-tech chemicals to control or kill your weeds; lighting options to include attached or detached fans; and pipes or valves to fix most of your plumbing needs. Also, I do appreciate the self-checkout pay stations; it is especially a useful tool when I am pressed for time. Another plus is seeing the different discounted or cheaper promotional items for sale between the front of the store. After entering the store, you can become so overwhelmed by the look of the entire store; the place reminds me of an industrial warehouse. The decor seemed lackadaisical to me, items on the shelves are disorganized, chaotic and the lighting tends to be on the darker side in a number of different aisles. The layout is designed more for a contractor or a handy-person rather the average shopper. Granted, their inventory is tremendous and the warehouse is enormous but it can be a little disorienting if you're unfamiliar with the store's layout or don't have a good idea where things are located. As a result, you might end up walking around looking kinda lost or somewhat frustrated searching for help out there in the land of Timbuktu. There are more than a few occasions where getting help from the employees can get a little sticky. For example, while you're being helped by an associate, there are more than a handful of people waiting "impatiently' to ask their particular questions. So your opportunity for assistance can be very short; hence you're unable to get your questions answered properly or completely. While this is not due to the employee's fault, it would behoove Home Depot to increase their staffing and do some re-decorating...LOL. HD recently added home furnishings to their online stores. Home Depot is a big box store and so is Lowe's but IMO, Lowe's does a better job of catering to the average shopper. Many would believe prices are cheaper at HD but from my own price comparison experience, this was not always the case. HD is not the cheapest all the time. I've found cheaper items from their competitors Lowe's and City Mill. Who figured? I remembered attending a stock training seminar a few years after HD became a publicly traded company in the mid-80's and the financial trainer posed a commonly asked question to the class. "Does anyone know how Home Depot got its bright orange color?" Answer given at the seminar: orange was the cheapest paint color on the market. Home Depot's history documents says, "The color orange stimulates stimulates activity and is often associated with affordability." As an average consumer, I do and will continue to patronize Home Depot but whenever I see better pricing from Lowe's or City Mill, my loyalty goes to them. I believe HD can do better if they'd change a few things but I guess being the largest of the national chain stores, HD is not likely going to do that anytime soon. I just have to remember if I shop at HD, I need a lot of patience and I might have to spend a longer time to get help. Sorry HD, I prefer your competitors in the same area whenever they offered better pricing, a higher level of inventory organization and better display appeal; but most importantly, your other two competitors are willing to spending more money to staff more employees to sufficiently serve their customers. .
Been trying to get ahold of someone at the store, guy who routes the calls routed me 6 times. I get re routed back to him. Asked him whats going on he said maybe they're busy. I can give a note to him. Then I said Ill pass on the note, if they dont answer any phone calls why would they call me back. So then he hangs up. Who hangs up on a person looking to purchase things. Going to city mill or walmart already. Ive been on hold for 24 minutes and still no one answered my call. So im writing this while on hold. Definitely would not recommend them if your trying to figure out if they have anything in stock. Pay extra $ elsewhere with better customer service. Someplace that actually PICKS UP the phone. The reason we all have phones, is to answer calls or make calls.
I recently purchased a LG window air conditioner that didn't work once it was installed. It was a somewhat daunting online purchase but I did it because I live in NYC and delivery was free. Once I discovered that the compressor wasn't working on the unit, I called Home Depot to return and they took it back and scheduled delivery. I was really impressive with the customer service and am definitely moving this to 5-stars as soon as I get the refund applied to my credit card.
Ordered some gardenining supplies online with home depot. They really should know a lot better when it comes to these things. They shipped out the wrong products. I take it back to the store to return and they said that'll get me the correct item. 30 minutes later these geniuses can 't even find the item...take your business somewhere else

Customer service offered an apology and a refund - yet in the end their refunds department denied the refund and in the end I have no refund and no product. Just remember in the end, you are just one customer among millions and they really don't care about your business. They lost me as a customer for just $30”
Let's face it home depot is huge. It's impossible to browse the entire store efficiently. Before shopping in store I always browse the website and find it to be helpful to narrow down what I am looking for.

I placed an order for in store pickup at HD for a specific size/finish of an item. When I went in to pick it up, it took them over 10 minutes to tell me that they didn't pick the item (I had received notification to come in). After another 10 minutes it seems they didn't have any of those in stock anymore. They wouldn't help me find that piece at a different store; I ended up going to Lowes (which was another bad experience)
I would recommend Home Depot if you go shopping there in person . Now if you order online this is a different matter . Just get something that you're not in rush to get ! Takes forever ... I just don't understand how some sites like Wayfair manages to process their orders within a day and that Home Depot takes for ever !
If you are considering purchasing a standby generator from Home Depot and hiring them to install it I recommend you think again. I purchased a generator from Home Depot put down the required deposit. I did not hear from them for over 4 months. When I called them to ask for an ETA the nightmare began. Ultimately, it took them over a year to install it and they only got it done then because I made dozens and dozens of calls to push them along. Absolute disaster! I recommend you shop at Lowes.
There stores are always messy with boxes and trash laying everywhere, and on top of that you can never get help from an associate. When you do get help, they don't seem know to where stuff is at (for instance, A/C filters.) This is why I prefer their competitors over Homedepot.
They have a huge variety of products, the bad thing is that half of those are either useless or will brake in a month or so. I think they should raise their quality standards in the things that they sale.
I made the mistake of purchasing a refrigerator from Home Depot because they offered free delivery. The delivery process was so unprofessional. The delivery personnel, outside contractors, brought in the fridge without any of its original packaging. They rushed out and didn't let us inspected the product. The product could have been damaged or altered during the shipment. I thought I was buying a fridge from Home Depot but found out the fridge was sold thru another dealer. The fridge started to malfunction a few days later. Home Depot wanted nothing to do with their defective product they sold. They passed the responsibility to the manufacturer. Home Depot's customer service lines were automated and when you did reach a human, they transferred us to the automated line. None of their customer service representatives took accountability and referred the problem to a another department. Never again, will I spend even a penny at HD.
Purchased carpeting with Home Depot and was satisfied with the installation. What was criminal is a 25.99% interest rate. Had 6 months without interest but that all hit on the 7th month to the tune of $382. I now have an interest amount of over $70 per month. Needless to say, we will no longer be using Home Depot for anything.
Last night went to Home Depot by Cicero, IL to check on some prices for some materials for home remodeling. Then on some of the materials I wanted to purchase had no price so I went to customer service to inquire price check on plywood and came across one of the associates named Wayne and asked him for help. He then told me that was not his dept but standing at the pro desk behind a computer in that section. So I assumed he worked there. I told him since he is by the computer can he just do a price check for me, but he refused and insisted this wasn't his dept and was upset because I interrupted his I assume his professional conversation with two girls. So he gave us a very bad attitude after a second attempt. He then paged someone from that dept building materials named Larry. That was like the worst associate I ever came across in my history of shopping in any retail store.
The customer service at the Home Depot in Nashville TN 100 Oaks store is awful. One out of four sales people that I encountered upon my visit Saturday October 31 was helpful. The cashier that I had was the one person that was helpful and spoke nice to me. The other workers were rude and didn't want to help at all. Three workers in the paint department were having a good chat with each other but not wanting to help any customers at least not me or the others that were waiting for assistance. The store manager really needs to take a look at what really is going on in his store. I do not recommend going to this Home Depot store.
I attempted to purchase laminate flooring including installation. Their promotion was/is buy any flooring over $1.50 a square foot and PURCHASE 250 square feet or more and you get installation at $.89 a square foot. Well, the flooring I picked was $1.88 a sq. ft. and after Home Depot measured my floor, it came out at 245 sq. feet. In THEIR quote, I was to purchase 19 boxes of flooring at 13.26 sq. feet per box, which equates to 251.94 square feet of flooring. Well, Home Depot REFUSED to give me the $.89 installation price due to my MEASURE! After several calls to customer service and my local Home Depot store manager trying to explain to corporate the problem, they have taken a stance that defies logic.
Council Bluffs store tool department. Employee was spot on with helping me get what I was looking for and helping me load it up. Plus I got a gas grill for cooking.
On the evening of October 27th I found that my oven was not working properly. Having purchased a warranty for my appliance I contacted the number given to me by Home Depot. I spoke with the first person and was told that it would be seven days before they could have someone come out and look at my appliance. I expressed my dissatisfaction and asked for a supervisor. After waiting approximately five minutes I finally spoke to a woman who was very rude telling me the customer to stop interrupting her, when in fact she was being rude and told me she was speaking to me that way because I was speaking to her rudely. To all shoppers or potential customers for Home Depot don't ever use any gift card from Home Depot and make sure you always have your ID with you when you're planning to return anything even if you have the receipt. Better than they treat you like a thief because princess Maria will not going to even bother to help. And don't waste your time of calling 1800#. They don't really care.
I had 2 Andersen brand sliding doors installed by Home Depot and the doors do seem to be a fairly good quality product (time will tell). I would not recommend however, to use Home Depot contractors for installation. Their price is outrageous and they refused several times to break down or itemize the costs, instead bragging about the "lifetime warranty" which they refused to furnish in writing until I threatened to cancel the order.
I purchased a lawn 5-months ago on a "No-Interest Promotion". I've been paying on my Home Depot card every month (more than the minimum payment). I logged on in today (10/24/2015) and find out that my promotional balance is the full amount of the lawn mower. Customer service indicates that "No payment is applied on Promotional Purchases unless your account balance is $0.00". Home Depot wants me to "default" on paying off on the Promotion Purchase so that they'll get another $94 in interest. Their No-Interest Promotion is a ripoff. BEWARE!!!
Being a former Union advocate, I don't agree with your use of automated pay lines eliminating several jobs for would be employees. Also, minimum wage pay is hardly sufficient to support one person, let alone a family. I abhor your charging 26% (25.99) interest on credit cards. This is outrageous. Are you connected with the Mafia? Because of these foul practices, our family will NO LONGER shop at your store. Our future purchases will be at Lowe's.
We ordered a washer and dryer from Home Depot in Burlington VT. The first delivery crew was not able to complete the installation because they did not have the right equipment so they rescheduled. The next crew came on the wrong day, when both my wife and I were at work. They got my 12 year old son and 10 year old daughter to let them in the house, still couldn't finish the job correctly and then told my son he had to forge MY name on their work order saying that the work was done. Is that even legal? Who bullies a child into forging his dad's signature?
I have had it with Home Depot in Goleta. Every single time I have to go there, there is a problem. I have walked out of the paint department because no one will help me, the young clerk was too busy on his phone to help me, and a repairman checking the paint mixing machines would not make eye contact, so I left a huge cart full of items and several hundred dollars of purchases and went to Orchard Supply Hardware. This week we HAD to go and it was every bit as bad as before. When checking out with plywood, lumber, spackling, flowers, and other items, the check out girl could barely look up from texting on her phone and sent us out the door only to be told to come back in because she had not even rung up the items on the other side of the cart.
Home Depot online told me they would refund the purchase of a $189 LED light that I did not receive, but later decided not to refund me and chose to not tell me! According to Home Depot online, they did it because they partner with UPS and therefore they believe UPS when they tell them they delivered it to me over me, the consumer, who tells them they I not receive it. The sneaky part is that they chose not to tell me about their decision reversal. I only figured it out by checking my VISA account and not seeing the refund.
Just had a new stove and dishwasher delivered and installed from Home Depot. The two guys that came could not have been any nicer and respectful. Juan, from truck 1860, was very nice, even joking with us. He was very careful with the water (making sure to have the right container to catch drips) and with our cherry floors. He made sure everything was working properly and explained the basics. They even set the clock on the stove. Very professional, kind and helpful. Thanks! Next week we get our washer and dryer delivered. We hope it's the same team!
I wanted to write to you today about a very unpleasant experience I had at Home Depot of Hazlet, New Jersey. Almost 2 weeks ago I bought a $699 generator in the wake of a now-defunct hurricane Joaquin. When the ladies behind the counter were ringing me up I asked them what the return policy was. They told me I could return the generator as long as I didn't put gasoline in the unit. I asked them if it would be returnable if I got the unit ready and installed the bar and wheels. The three of them assured me that would be fine just so long as the unit doesn't contain any gasoline.
Yesterday while I was checking out at Home Depot (9890 North 90th St. Scottsdale, AZ 85258), as I swiped my Home Depot card, an error arose at the cash register noting that I must have my card authorized. The cashier, **, called the office (I think) and stated the problem which was noted on the cash register screen. He called the number and talked for a few minutes with the person on the other end who then said that the person wanted to talk with me. I don't like doing that, but I did. I was asked questions about myself, address, phone numbers, last four digits of social security which took twenty five minutes.
Home Depot HVAC in Denver has one guy. Yes, one guy & one guy only for MILLIONS of people. Took two days off work...he called in sick, both days. Are you kidding me? For a service area of millions, Home Depot has ONE guy? Really? The first woman on the phone was apologetic & said "I will give you $10.00 off." The second, cancellation. The woman was rude to me. Huh? She said "Why don't you go somewhere else?" Well it was a Saturday... Another day I took off & no one, NOT one person in Metro Denver was available. I lost $100.00s of dollars. I am a teacher. This hurts...A LOT! My boyfriend took a day off, my building manager took a day off. Thanks Home Depot for ripping me off.
Purchased a new high end KitchenAid dishwasher with a custom panel front. I asked if they can install and they said not problem it's only $99.00 and $15.00 to take the old unit away. When the delivery men came I asked if they ever did a custom front and if they are licensed plumbers. They said no to both. Then they said they could not disconnect a cope line as they are not licensed but could direct wire and do a flex line that was extra. Told them to get out. I am not going to risk my house with "unlicensed people". I asked for a refund of the $99.00 and $15.00 and had to fight them for that. 4 days later no refund. No problem. Thanks to having a Black Card, my bank canceled the complete charge and said we will wait for Home Depot to call rather than put me on the defense. Screw Home Depot. Non licensed people, get real. My plumber charges me $200.00 and it was worth it. It took two hours and he took the old one away.
I used my debit card to make a 80.19 purchase. The Home Depot cashier told me it was incomplete. Happening 4 times coming out with the same response. I call my bank asking them "What's going on? I have money in my account." The bank responded by saying all 4 transactions went through. I was out almost 400.00 and it's been one week and still not resolved.
I visited my local Home Depot (Signal Hill, CA, I believe), located at Spring Street and Atlantic Blvd. I purchased several items including a plant which was located on a pallet marked "was $12.95, now $7.95". At check out, the plant rang up at $12.95. I was forced to wait a half hour for another employee to price verify. Meanwhile, the cashier checked out another 5 customers while I had to stand and wait for the verification.
So I originally posted this on the Home Depot's product review page but they said it didn't meet their guidelines because it didn't discuss the "product." Meanwhile, the "product" I ordered was an INSTALLED Backyard Discovery Playset and my review was about the HORRIBLE process they have in place of subcontracting multiple layers of work to an awful company - GO CONFIGURE - and how the installation basically consisted of me chasing all the parties involved to get anything done (and still hasn't happened). So hopefully this review helps some of you! (As an aside, the actual people - the third level of sub-contractors who have showed up at my house have been very nice. Still no installation, but very nice people).
When I signed up for the Home Depot credit card, I made a mistake. It was late at night. The clerk said emphatically that I must provide my social security number for the card. NO... That is against the law but Citi is a financial institution (yada, yada, yada). I requested auto pay for the card. That worked for the FIRST month. When I went to HD to buy some items, the register would not accept my card.
After sending in a payment ON TIME, it was applied to wrong account. After TWO months of hassling with them, they would NOT credit late fee, even with copy of check. They said it was a DAY late. Check shows it was deposited on due date. They screwed my credit score. They said "tough pay the late fee or keep getting billed". I paid the late fee (under protest) AND STILL was charged fees. Took 2 more phone calls to get late fees removed, but they won't contact credit rating services.
Bought a new Samsung washer to replace a 4 year old one. This new washer was purchased at the West Cobb store in Marietta GA, August 1 2015. Today September 28, the new washer flooded my downstairs part of my home. Called Home Depot, told nothing they could do, was told call Samsung. So Home Depot doesn't mind selling the products but they want no responsibility for the product. Just give Home Depot the profit, no service, no help. Well, Home Depot, how about no more of my business?
We had vinyl flooring installed in 4 rooms. We were happy with the installers, they did a good job. The problem is the poor service of the installation scheduling. We were given a date to have it installed 5 weeks after the flooring came in. After several phone calls through these 5 weeks, we were told they couldn't find an installer any sooner. Installers (3 men from 3 hours from our home) came on the date we were given. The installers told us that they got the call for this job on Saturday. 2 days before installation date we were given. Wonder what we would have been told on Monday morning if installers could not be found. Even the installers could not believe it took that long to find someone.
First I would like to emphasize that I am extremely disappointed and feeling injured with the product and customer service I received from Home Depot. Last Wednesday I received a desk that I bought 20 days ago. Today I hired a person to come to my house and assemble the desk. To our surprise when we opened the box we verified that the desk was broken (one of the sides of the top of the desk was completely broken).
The HD on Bitters in San Antonio, Texas has two people who love to answer the phone at Customer Service desk, especially if they have no clue what goes on in the store, and especially a boy named Louis who has to "put you on hold to research the situation." Really? Customer Service does not exist at Home Depot. Customer Service does not exist in San Antonio. No wonder other metropolitan cities laugh at San Antonio. I was given an option of a.m. delivery or p.m. delivery. Because I have to drive 125 miles each way to accept delivery, I chose the p.m. window of 12-6.
Bought this fridge (Whirlpool Gold 28.6 cu. ft. french door refrigerator in black ice, model: wrf989sdae) for $2,499 plus tax in Dec 2012. Paid for extended warranty. Fridge totally crapped out August 2015. Still under extended warranty. Home Depot sent out a third party repair company, authorized appliance repair in Glendale AZ & the repairman said it was not repairable and he would report it as such.

Needed assistance with pond, staff was as helpful as possible considering they are short handed and I am well aware that management doesn't care particularly. Your staff does a very good job .congratulations to all of them. Even the grumpy lady at returns (HAPPY VALENTINES DAY TO ALL ).
Bad return service. August 8th i bought a hook. I tried to return it with perfect condition on August 14th, but they won't let me. I have my receipt and ID with me. They just give me a phone number to call for more information. no one wants to talk to the phone for hours to return their stuffs. Home depot is just trying to waste my time make things difficult so i will give up returning. Anyway finally i give up. They will be happy for that. Never going to home depot again.
Terrible service! I'm literally standing in the plumbing section for 20 mins. They have paged 7 times. Called the store asking for a manager, 13 mins later......nothing . this is ridiculous
I was pleased with the service, the plumbing dept. associate was available for friendly and helpful service in a timely manner, his suggestions were knowlegable and I was able to purchase my items and continue my project.
This store is good in person and worthless for order online and pickup in store. Even after you get notified your order is waiting for you, it normally hasn't even been started
My favorite HD store: obviously not the newest or largest, but staff is always professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly. I spend more than 40K a year at their stores. I know the layout of this location and have come to know the staff as well. Of particular importance to me, is their dog-friendly ATTITUDE, not POLICY. On weekends, they go out of their way to accommodate my pets: it is appreciated.Returns are quick and friendly when you follow the guidelines. Staff are not experts, nor are they expected to be. They are here to guide and assist NOT do the job. Yes, I go to Lowes and speciality stores on occasion, but I trust and rely on The Home Depot to serve me and my customers.
I spend way too much time in this store. I've always been a fan of Home Depot, but this store continues to impress me with the level of customer service. The employees have always gone out of their way to help me.
The people here are always helpful and more than willing to lend a hand when they can. They may not know everything, but they try and usually succeed. If you go in with a general plan they can usually help you figure out the rest. Not to mention Home Depot gives a military discount which is always welcomed.
Its ridiculous how this place runs its day to day operations. I was denied a return in which I had the receipt for and was less than 24 hours old. The reason for this denial is because the product was bought with store credit and my id has been flagged for some reason unkown by homedepot they have a third party service managing this part of there wonderful company. The problem is that if you return one item because your to tired to find damn receipt and dont care because you need something else from the store to complete your job anyway, well then if you return anyrhing bought with this store credit even if have your receipt you must show a id and thus this third party genius flag you for returning to many items. They have no clue that you spent 30k in there the past 3 months and obviously dont care. Lowes is an upgrade unless you go to the southside one located santafe and 240 they make up there own policies even though they are clearly stated on back of receipts that location is the worst lowes in 500mi^2 area do not go there its horrible like home depot!
We went to the paint department today to try out the computer that helps you match paints. (Which was really awesome!) The woman who was working the counter was absolutely amazing. She was extremely friendly, professional, and had many tips to share with us for the paint choices we selected.

As a manager of an electrical company, I really appreciate the customer service I was given. I purchased a device months ago and it failed. I didn't have receipt and it appears they discontinue that particular item. Blake in the electrical was not hesitate in helping me out! Thank you!

I went into the large semi-outdoor garden area and asked a short old man with grey hair, wearing a cap if he knew which type of soil is good for a peace lily. He answering by letting me know that it is called "potting soil" with heavy disdain and pointed the direction of the large and the small bags of "potting soil". I guess the best way is to google information about which soil to buy and not drive to home depot to waste my time. I learned that, for me, amazon and ebay with google comes first, and Home Depot comes last on the list of where I should buy stuff. Thank you for the valuable lesson, jerk.
Awful. I went in for some weather stripping. Some very specific weather stripping. They didn't have it, despite a huge amount of time invested in looking for it. Then I popped over to the (much smaller, much more manageable) Ace Hardware nearby and found it in about 30 seconds. 30 minutes of wasted time versus 30 seconds of just getting what I need. I know where I am going first next time around. Ace. Not Home Depot.

Just wanted to say that two days ago my husband and I went in to this store to order several appliances for our kitchen. My husband went to the bathroom and I was looking around at some appliances, I had a question and the old man who worked in that section completely ignored me but when my husband walked up the worker jumped up and started kissing his ass and looked at me like I was a child... Really? He tried to tell us the sink we wanted was 210 dollars more than the marked price because it was black and since we had to order it online and they could not do it in store he could not use his military discount. After the man who did not seem like he knew how to do his job well at all finally finished everything and printed out our papers to pay we were told that customer service was the only place we could pay for our stuff. We went up there and the only girl in customer service was on the phone and completely ignored us without acknowledging we were even there. I understand if you're on the phone but at least tell us it will be one moment or something. But she was talking to someone about finding latex gloves of some sort. Anyway, we waited for about 10 minutes and walked away then came back to find a line and her STILL on the phone. Needless to day home depot lost 1,500.00 some odd dollars that day. So we went to Lowe's and couldn't be happier. Thanks customer service lady! You lost your company 1500.00 dollars!!! We ended up paying 1,200.00 for everything at lowes because it was cheaper, we were not getting jipped on a sink and we got the military discount.
Don't go to this location, they will screw you over if you have a delivery. They told us they would deliver on Thursday when the paperwork said it would be the next week on a Monday, then didn't deliver until Tuesday! They delivered the scratched up display when they had 11 other freezers in stock! Ridiculous that I lost 3 days waiting on them for this!

We have several investment properties in okc and live in stillwater. Sometimes communication with tenants on delivery can be hard. We decided to start work with Home Depot as our supplier of goods for our properties. Our first experience has been horrific. The delivery for a washer and dryer was delayed, the driver got lost and when he called could not speak English. They arrived over two hours late. Instead of installation, they just put the boxed washer and dryer in the living room floor. I drove down to see what had happened and it appears they did not have time to do an install as the driver was afraid of being fired for being so late... The unit will not work in the space allocated so I contacted the sales rep who said he would give me the Asst. Manager to handle the pick up and credit. Cory seemed to be reliable however, he committed to to different pick ups and I had my tenant be home and they never showed. I contacted Cory who deverted me to his asst. Farrah who seems to be a doer. She indicated that she would handle it and get back with us and get it resolved. I am probably losing a tenant over the fiasco.. Regardless of how they respond, I choose not to do business with people who do not follow through on their commitments, especially in managment. They will not have my future business. One shining star seems Farah the others are just saying things to satisfy you. Overall management needs corporate to evaluate this store.
WARNING,store full of incompetent employees, they can't work the new system and they lie to you about when you pay to have something delivered. After paying and waiting to have delivered to job,they finally tell you they don't carry those items anymore, when clearly they are online and still in the computer for sale with a working SKU. save yourself headache and time by just going to lowes,they'll take care of you
I prefer the Home Depot in Edmond. However, if I'm not close to the Edmond area, this store has a few people that are helpful.

One of the bigger Home Depots I've seen. Their staff is helpful (although sometimes a little hard to find) and I rarely leave without what I need. Their prices can sometimes be a little high compared to online retailors but they have good discounts. This is also a good place to grab a Christmas tree for the holidays. Overall one of the better Home Depots in Dallas.

To be clear I’m not a disgruntled customer who showed up once, had terrible service, and decided to write a review. In fact it’s quite the opposite. I live close to this Home Depot, and for the better part of a year I have been going to this store and constantly receiving terrible service. In fact this is my first review…ever. The service over the last 8 months was so terrible that I felt compelled to create an account and leave a review. Do yourself a favor and find the “next closest” Home Depot to this one. I promise you it is worth the drive. Their go to line is “let’s see if a different Home Depot has it”. My only regret is that I gave this store so much money. Don’t make the same mistake I did. I was like a battered housewife continuing to go back home because I was too in love the convenience of the proximity to my house. Keep driving North until you reach the Home Depot on 75 and 15th st....much much better.
They usually have what I need, but they always screw me at the checkout. During my most recent visit, two items were double charged. This isn't the first time they've done that to me.
We passed several employees during our visit. None of them asked if we needed assistance.
We bought some lumber. Their lumber is OK.
I always think quantity over quality when I go to Home Depot. At the Bridgeport Home Depot, I always try to review my receipt before I leave.

Customer service is terrible. Waited 40 minutes for help in appliances which never showed up. On the way out I complained to a manager. He said he "guessed" he was going to have to tell his people to quit wondering around and stay in their departments. I called corporate office. They just told me they would send complaint to store. Customer base is deminishing. Told that corporate only allows for small number of employees to work. Terrible!
We will never purchase appliances from Home Depot again. We bought a whole kitchen back in the middle of November. We are building a house and bought these appliances totaling more than $4000, in what we thought was plenty of time to have them when we need them. We put an estimated date of Jan 28th but was told to just call if we need them sooner. Our current house went under contract and will close Feb 2nd. I called Home Depot online dept 2 weeks ago and was told to just give them a 72 hour window time period to have our appliances released. We now want them as our cabinets are in and we are moving the last weekend of this month. We are now told our double wall oven is out of stock. Two weeks ago, everything was in. Remember we were told just to give them a 72 hour window..... We are told Jan 28 is del date and cannot be changed. We asked to at least have the cooktop and dishwasher released so our granite guy can have them to accurately measure for the granite. They said no, it all has to be released at one time. We are being told its up to the manufacturers such as Maytag/Whirlpool as to when the appliances come in... Home Depot is more or less the middle man. We have spoken with the appliance dept manager, the assistant store mgr ( why did not follow up and have the courtesy to call us back ) and the attitude of just about everyone in that store is they do not care about the customer. Its not their fault, its the manufacturer...that is the attitude the store has. We have spent up to at least $8000 in that store with ceramic tile, vessel sinks, fawcetts, odds and ends plus the 5 appliances. If we would have known this, we would have spent an extra $200-300 more and went to Lowes. They have had our money since November and we can't get our appliances. They were in stock when we ordered them now one item out of stock. Basically, they sell your stuff if someone comes in and orders something and can use it right away. Totally terrible customer service. We went and bought off of HOME DEPOT , WE DID NOT GO TO A WHILRPOOL/MAYTAG STORE. So it is not our problem why our merchandise is not being released to home depot....that is their problem. We just want our products.

Pathetic retail store. I have been in the area for 15 years. I have seen this Home Depot deteriorate with its quality and customer service. I was just looking for a door. Just a door. A certain size for an interior door. Spoke to two employees of Home Depot and both passed the buck. I get it if you don't work in a department, but stop hanging out in that damn department confusing the people that need help. THERE IS A LOWES RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET. GO THERE INSTEAD, TRUST ME.
Kids workshops are fun. Store can be dirty at times but staff is always friendly. Usually have what I need. Prefer it to Lowes.

Call the store, good luck! You just get hold music, forever and ever. If you choose the picking up Web order selection you'll get a very confused sounding person, he didn't seem to know English very well, or was just very confused in general, but asking to be transferred to the tool rental department results in being on hold forever and ever.
Have an idea to buy something in the tool department? Make sure you check the SKU on the box, I just picked the one with the right price and items, at the register I found the price was way off. The tool guy, very disoriented, tried finding the correct item with his helper, while answering personal calls, but was unable to find it; I was told to come back the next day.
Want to buy a marked down appliance? CHECK THE MODEL NUMBER! They marked a lower end drier as the highest priced model, then marked it down to $12 above retail price of the actual drier! Bringing this to the stores attention they told me they would fix it and they did, but the new price was more than the sale price of the drier at Best Buy. They could price match the product new, but couldn't price match the scratched floor model; which was $80 more than the Best Buy sale price.
Want a steel double gang plate cover? Ha! Lowe's is across the street!
In all, the people working for Home Depot are more knowledgeable, but there are only a few. The rest are seemingly low wage immigrants with low to no knowledge in their sections, if they were at least up beat about it I would say they tried, but as others say, they just brush you off. well let me start off as in it does not deserve any stars today the issue just added up from the past 3 visits and it put the icing on the cake I was redoing a bathroom in my house and purchased around $6000.00 and I should have not spent a penny with home depot at all every thing I ordered or had an associate order either came wrong color ,wrong item or damaged ? every time I had a issue it was always handed to some dumb a** named Paul supposedly he's a manager the first time I explained the issue sitting at the counter for a pickup for over 90minutes his excuse was they can't find it well here comes a employee that has it lie 1, second time more than 30days later it was picking up another order that was will call after coming from a Manassas store the called and verified it and even spoke to him on speaker phone and I heard his voice and he said who he was well when I drove 25 minutes away went to the store showed the lady at the desk and she said there was nothing there for me so I asked for them to call for a manager well here come mighty dumb Paul he said they should have never sold you it I told them I didn't have it in stock that the inventory must be wrong lie 2 now this evening 6/28/15 looked on the internet for some shelves online showed 4 I only needed 2 they must have it well went in at 7 and looked for 15-20 minutes then I found a associate named Kurt well told him what I was looking for and he said well there's 1 I told him I needed 2 he said ok let me look for a phone that scans well 10 minutes later he said they came in yesterday they just have not been put away yet I said ok he asked when will the next time I will be in the store I said NOW he said it could take 30 or more minutes to get them so I asked him again I am here he did not want to get them so I asked for a manager and here comes home depot biggest dum rude manager they must have Paul he came up and asked what can he do for me I told him I came in for a couple things plus the shelves well he said he can try to get them but what do you want me to do I don't have a operator to retrieve them I said what kind of lie is this I told him this is the 3rd time dealing with him and his response quote was "well what the hell do you want me to do " I looked at him and told him I expected the shelves not to here you say that in front of my wife let alone my 4 year old daughter I said fine he walked one way I told my wife this is the wrong place should have went to Lowes or Pitckins any where but here so on the way out I asked another associate who the store manager was they gave me a name of Mike and said Paul is just a assistant so I will call Mike but it wont change my feelings about the store Paul has labeled the store as a stay away place and I will tell all and everyone I know

the employees that have helped me at this store are fantastic. I drive 50 minutes just to shop here because of the employees. they are always very willing to lend a hand in finding items, or to load up items into my truck. returns are never an issue, even when I have ordered the wrong part. with so many businesses having less than stellar customer service this home depot really shows me what customer service is all about. I will continue to give them the majority of my business. to top it off they also go above and beyond to warranty items for you, just 2 weeks ago I had a shade that was broken I went there looking for a replacement one and the employee I was dealing with informed me that a lot of times if I were to call the company directly they would give me a new shade for free, which they did!! it was such a great experience I ordered all new shades for my house just because the service was so great. I am a businessman myself and I wish my employees were as courteous and nice.

Here is an interesting statistic for you. Which is more likely to happen statistically? Winning the Oklahoma lottery or finding an employee at this Home Depot to help you get something down or for that matter at all? The answer is: winning the lotto. After searching for 25 minutes, my wife and I found a ladder, dragged it over to where we needed it, climbed up, and got what we needed. Of course, at this time an employee shows up, gives us some guff about how we aren't supposed to do that and tried to be snotty about it. We ignored it, walked up to the front, where we of course..had to wait 5 minutes for a cashier to show up.
So if you have time to burn and enjoy walking around and feeling like you are a burden, this is your place. However, the toilet seat we bought was nice.

Wow, has this store ever gone down in quality. There was a time when this was absolutely the place to come for remodeling and home repair. Knowledgeable and helpful personnel and great prices. No more. Now the help is surly and stupid, needing to call on their little walkie-talkie for the answer to the simplest questions. None of them seem to have any idea that they are there to help customers. And don't call the store to speak to the manager! He sure as hell doesn't want to bothered by someone as unimportant as a customer. The attitude that the customer is supposed to kowtow to store employees is pretty common in New York City. It's a shame that it's found a new home in Norman, OK.
I just go to Lowes now. They at least seem happy to have me in the store.
I've shopped at the Norman Home Depot for years now, and have had an excellent experience every time. The employees have always been helpful, and if they don't know the answer to my questions they find someone who does. I've remodeled my entire home with their products, from carpet and wood flooring to paint, plumbing, Travertine counter tops, lawn & garden items, and everything in between. They don't always have everything I need, but are always willing to refer me to other places that do carry those things. All in all, I couldn't ask for a better store.
I usually love Home Depot! But I am very disappointed!! I purchased a water heater and had it installed it started at 744.00 for the water heater and install! The fact that it was an elevated area I knew I was going to be charged an extra 125.00 for labor and than possibly a little more to bring it up to code! That brought my purchase up to 1349.00 !! I had to have that water heater installed yesterday as my mom passed away 5 months ago and we are selling her house and closing next week! I sat and thought about how I felt totally taken advantage of for 1.5 hours of labor!! Basically I paid 411.00 for the water heater and almost 1000.00 dollars in parts and labor! I am very very disappointed with this!!!! If I had not needed it so bad I would have refused service!
I love Home Depot. It's one of the few stores that accepts PayPal even for in store items as long as you pay online. Also they have a large variety of items online that you can't find everywhere. Last year I bought a beautiful life like Christmas tree after the holiday and it was normally almost $300. I got it for $79 online. But you have to be fast because that stuff sells out quick. I also like their in house selection of carpeting and appliances. Over all you can get just about anything at Home Depot.
My company has been purchasing from the Moore Home Depot for quite a while. The service there is top notch. The guys (and girls) at the pro-desk do a great job getting our orders taken care of.
There are several employees: Chad, Dano, Scott, Cindy, Chasity and some others that have really gone above and beyond to make sure we're satisfied with our service.
I will never shop here again. I purchase a refrigerator online that included free delivery and installation. I found out the only reason the installation is free is because it doesn't happen. The guy glanced at my old water line and said the standard line that they brought was too short. He never even looked for the water shut off valve to confirm that the line was too short. All he said was that I could exchange the water line for a longer one and I assumed that if I did that, home depot would get some else to come and finish the install. Turned out, I would have to install it myself. When I complained, the lady said the delivery guy didn't even note that he didn't install the water line. Why would he? And if I wanted to install it myself or hire a plumber I would have bought a refrigerator from a place that does not INCLUDE FREE INSTALLATION WITH PURCHASE. I didn't purchase the refrigerator from this place wanting them to only do a half ass job. It's bullshit. Save yourself the hassle and buy elsewhere.
They price match every other store AND have tool rental which I use frequently and is quite handy.
Rented a tool on a Saturday night and told I could bring it back as early as 6 on Sunday morning. I got there at 7 to see them having a meeting and bring told they don't open until 8. I told them what I had been told previously and they just said sorry and walked off, not even a shred of effort to help resolve the situation.
I've always found the staff to be friendly and helpful, but two employees really went out of their way to help me. Brad in electronics and Scott (I'm not certain of the department) not only assisted me in finding whatever I was looking for, but also demonstrated quite a bit of patience answering all of my questions.
Great customer service - I love writing good reviews when associates go above and beyond with their customer service. I went in today and was helped by an awesome salesman named Gilberto - I was looking for bird feeders and he walked me over to them and then gave me a ton of helpful tips about the different feeders. I let him know I was looking for hummingbird feeders, and after he shows me those he then showed me different plants that also attract hummingbirds. I happily bought a beautiful hanging plant in addition to the feeder - my patio looks great and I can't wait for the hummingbirds to come!
Horrible phone service. They take you through a multi-teared menu to get to the department you want, then when you press the number for the department you want, you are treated to silence. No message asking you to wait, no message telling you that you are being transferred, just silence. I've been waiting here (on hold? I don't know) for about 5 minutes.
Don't expect a huge selection. It's also a classic place where you have to hunt for employees hiding in herds in various locations.
Propane exchange never ever works – then when you ask for help it takes 20 minutes. I've got to stop going here.
So we are in the process for getting new doors for our house. The came a measured everything is all good. We had picked the doors out with Ron. Our doors are very oddly shaped and we had been back and forth a couple times. Ron called last night wondering when we were coming in to order the doors. Which was great. I went in this afternoon had to pick a few other items up and get some wood cut to fix a few things around the house. I said high to Ron he said he had someone infront of me. OK no problems. I come back after getting my shopping done he was still busy. I said I forgot some glue I'll be right back. Walked down to aisle two and back in like 2-3 minutes tops. The guy clocked out and went home!!!!! You got to be kidding me!!!!!!!! Was very pleased with their help until this point. Went to talk with a manager basically got that's not like Ron speech. She someone else could help. I refused. Have a very bad taste after that. I know someone else could have helped but does not defeat the purpose of an employee clocking out while waiting for their help to make a purchase at your store.
Good selection staff is hard to come by but use their website in the store to find stuff it tells you isle and where in the isle any item is. But staff could use some customer service training.
This is the kind of store that one should visit only when absolutely necessary, like in an emergency situation. Every occasion I have gone there the customer service was either non existent or completely apathetic. There are a few employees who are helpful but very few.
Went on a week night around 9. Very friendly staff. It's a big store with a great inventory.
On my recent visit, I found the staff very helpful and knowledgeable. I had to order an item online and schedule a store pick-up; the staff at the customer service counter made sure this was a seamless transaction. I even received a text message when my order was ready to be picked up.

Purchased a hot water tank and a new toilette last fall with instillation . Very poor job was done. Did not clean up after job, poor caulking and when I went to turn on the humidifier the water line was not reconnected.
Don't order carpet from Home Depot. It took almost a year for us to resolve problems because of the installers. They cut our carpet in little places all over and long cuts. We had it replaced twice and it needed replaced a third time. We had around 16 people coming and going in our home during this time inspecting our carpet. Finally we settled getting some of our money back. They are still using the same installers. They got the better end of this deal. No money for all of our trouble and we have to replace it yet again. We'll be lucky to have enough money to replace it with comparable carpet. What a nightmare!
My wife goes here on occasion and every time she comes home she tells me how friendly and helpful everyone is there, Everytime I'm there I see the same thing . GREAT PLACE

Home Depot is a godsend and thank the Lord that it is so close. Overall good people who want to help and the store is always looking tip-top. The only reason I give a 4/5 is because there has been a few times where items are shown as in-stock and I add them to my cart online only to show up and find out that they were out-of-stock and had been for some time but the online system didn't update.

I had to return an item there at the service desk and the lady was too busy playing on her phone to see that I was standing there for a minute before I finally asked for help. She was rude to me and didn't really care about the product that broke. Not going back to this place anytime soon.

They ALWAYS have what I need, and ordering online is SOOOOOOOO easy! And I can use paypal which rocks. I've placed about 10 online orders (buy online pick up in store) in the last 3 months, and every single one is ready for me to pick up within an hour and a half. Cant beat not having to go looking for everything you need!

Most of the employees are helpful. Have never had a problem with returns. I almost always get 10% off for being a military veteran unlike the closest Lowe's that does not give military/veteran discounts. My only real complaint is that the store itself is a bit smaller than some other local Home Depot's so their selection is a bit more limited (hence the 4 star instead of 5).
Their lumber saw is very frequently down for days and fixing it is not their priority.
When you need specific product, that is not on the shelf, 5 minutes hunting for knowledgeable employee. He checks system and tells you he definitely got more of those. He then starts looking for them, and by the way he does it it's clear there is no proper inventory, location and tracking in place. 10 minutes later he tells you that product is on a truck currently unloading at the bay and will definitely be available tomorrow. Product is not available tomorrow.
Edit: 3 days later the saw is still down.

I put special order for carpeting and hardwood floor.as per advertise special order arrive in 7 business day and i got my order after one and half month that also after calling many time to home depot store and customer service..well after getting order i have to call them to schedule installation date and they said they don't have date next few week.i call again to customer service and they schedule hardwood flooring and for carpeting gave me other date.For carpeting on day of installation no buddy show up so i called home depot and they told me its third party do installation so they don't have info and gave me phone no for third party even though i paid all money to home depot.i call third party and they said they don't see any date schedule and i am still waiting for my carpeting ..i just call home depot again and they put me on hold and no buddy came on phone and finally got disconnected after 15 min waiting on line...i will never do business with home depot and i will definitely let my family and friends know that this was worst nightmare!!!!!!
WATCH OUT !!!! return states 90 days return . That is a lie ! went to return a power tool within 10 days of purchase date, the tool stopped working. Home depot refused to issue a refund or exhange ,
at first they said it looked like it was purchased more than 10 days ( in a nice way to say you are a lier ) , then changed the story to say it was abused ( was used for one project ) , then they threw in the magic clause that home depot reserves the right to limit or deny returns. They were very nice...I was heading to home depot to buy some paint and how unlucky to get a flat tire so I made my way to HD and ask to use their phone because I didn't had one on me. So I call my dad to come help me. We always had come to this HD and haven't had any problem with them yet.
Went in looking for a few odds and ends. Staff was helpful.
My husband and I decided to order new garage doors, and after checking out many companies, decided to go with the Home Depot because of their claims that they take care of everything. We went to this store to place our order, but they didn't have samples of the door for us to look at and were not very knowledgeable about the product. Our order was not placed in store, but online when we got home. We were contacted by the garage door manufacturer/installer the next day to set up for measurements. After not hearing anything after a week, and not seeing their online installation portal update, we called the Home Depot store, to follow up. When speaking with our installation contact, she informed us that they do not have any information, and that we would need to contact Clopay (the manufacturer/installer) for any further information about our install. After about 8 weeks, we finally got our doors installed. We were initially told the timing would be 4-6 weeks. The whole experience was not good to say the least, but the doors look really good. Now, we have a small installation issue, and the store said that we're on our own. We need to contact the installer again to resolve the problem.
Its getting to a point where I just cant stand this store: the lack of help and lack of knowledge of what personnel they do have is aggravating. Whats even more disappointing is the lack of selection, especially in plumbing. I absolutely cannot stomach trying to get plumbing supplies at this store anymore, when your able to find some "help", its weak . They don't even know what they have half the time and the usual response is "we don't have that" accompanied by an excuse via a comment that "we don't sell enough of that to stock it", but its common product for plumbing. The don't sell enough because they never have it in stock to sell it to begin with. To top it off what product they do have on the shelf is all jumbled in different bins and you can't trust what your buying, much less know what the real price is, which by the way are premium prices for sub-standard products. This store is declining due to such ignorance.

Customer service is terrible here! The last 3 times I went here I walked out without getting anything. I even asked for a manager and he/she never came. I had one simple question and every time I stopped someone to ask them a question and they tell me it's not their department. When I ask who I should ask then they told me someone will be here shortly and never came. I wait 30 minutes and nothing. Please please please take your employees through training again. This Home Depot is 2 minutes away from my house and I hate to drive 7 miles to the other one which I've been doing.

WE CAME TO THE IRON MT, HOME DEPOT NEAR CLOSING, WE ASKED IF THERE WAS STILL TIME, THEY SAID SURE WE DONT CLOSE TILL8. 3 SUPER FLOOR WORKERS ASKED IF WE COULD FIND EVERYTHING & HELPED US FIND AN EXTENTION CORD..a 5 minute stop~~ wrong~~ as usual the cashier ?express ? customer service cashiers were helping customers, but were at a stand still, i waited paitently for either.. the cashier looked confused as the lady had plants & shingles on 2 large carts.. the computer was aparently to blame.. but the cashiers were clueless, i waited while the young man at the service desk went to his vehice & returned with an entire toolbox for 1 duplicate socket.. 3 more phone calls & neither line moved.. another home depot employee .. a man walked up to the counter & the service desk employee greeted him & he pointed to me & said shes, been waiting .. i said i need a cord.. she said..theres the check out.. ( the line with the cashier who was clueless with the lady & the 2 large carts.) NO CUSTOMER "SERVICE" was seen for any of us, the man with the tool box was told be the~ lack of customer service ~person after a phone call.. go back & TRY to find the missing socket~~ really? I was never directed to another check out? no cashier was called to help the clueless one we had.. you had plenty of friendly helpful staff from the workers in the parking lot to the floor staff, BUT ALL OF THAT WAS NON EXISTENT when i came to the service desk woman & the clueless check out lady. I left. I will not be back to the Iron Mt MI Home Depot because of being completely ignored & invisible to the service desk person & under trained check out staff.I know there are dedicated employees at the Iron Mt, Mi home depot.. but they do not work at the check out & the serviceless desk by the light bulb isle , tonight 11-3-15 at 7:50 pm. check your security video.
Really great customer service in the plumbing and appliance departments. I had a complicated issue with some specialized Delta faucet parts a year ago, and an issue with hardware for mounting a microwave that the staff went above and beyond my expectations in helping me resolve. Shout out to Isabelle. Thank you very much.
I recently purchased a large grill in the discount area, got a great deal and at the time of the purchase I was told I had until Monday to pick it up. I return on Monday to exchange the grill I had bought for another one of the same value. At which time I was told by a young lady named Jeanie under no uncertain terms the grill was to be out of there by that day, I agreed and again she was insistent the grill had to be picked up that day and once again I agreed. After the fourth time day of this young lady TELLING me I had to pick the grill that day, I informed her that I had actually heard her the first time. She then proceeded to question me about who had allowed me to leave the grill there in first place.
It appears to me this young lady has forgot that it is the customer paying her wages and I don't think anyone excepts to be treated this way.
I will be contacting the manager of the store as well as corporate so this does not happen to anyone that is going into the Grand Haven home depot spending their hard earned money and being treated with disrespect in the future.
Very friendly and knowledgeable employees and is a well stocked store. Home Depot cannot help it if their supplier is out of stock for all you naysayers. I've noticed so many times that the other Home Depots I've gone to or had the store check for availability of the item in Muskegon, Holland, and Grand Rapids areas will also usually be out of stock at the same time! So how can you blame the Grand Haven store then? Some people do not think beyond their own little very limited mind!
I do not recommend Home Depot in Grand Haven for any significant project. I have been a Home Depot customer for 30 years. My lifetime investment with the company is in the many tens of thousands of dollars.
Now that we are in Grand Haven, we went to the local store to purchase carpet for 3 rooms in our home. They ordered the carpet, indicating it would arrive in 7-10 days. It took nearly a month to get it installed (unfortunately, while we were out of town).
Upon our return, we saw that there were many holes in the new carpet where the fibers were missing. The seams were installed very poorly. I could not believe the installers would leave it in such condition.
I phoned the local store. The expediter was very apologetic and helpful. She requested I send pictures and ordered replacement carpet. It took another 3 weeks to schedule the second installation. We removed carpet the night before.
The second delivery also had the same carpet product flaws. The local store manager would not bother to call me. My recourse was to spend hundreds of dollars more for different carpet of the same quality or a refund. I cancelled the order and took a refund. Now my house is bare wood sub-floor going into winter. I will need to find another carpet vendor.
It is difficult to understand how they would treat a lifelong customer so shoddily. I cancelled my Home Depot charge account and they will NEVER get another dime from me.

In a word, RACIST. I have been there many times. I have found this to be true on every occasion: If you are a white person visiting this store, expect to get lesser treatment. Expect to see the employees (mostly black people) at the service desk giving out special discounts to black customers that they won't give to you because you're white. Expect that the black person in line in front of you will be greeted with a smile and a hello, but the black employee will mumble under her breath and avoid all eye contact. Expect to be treated with contempt by the racist, black employees, even managers that work there. If you're white, they will let you know very clearly that they have nothing but disdain for you.

I really like this Home Depot. All the staff are knowledgeable and really friendly, and they treat you like you probably know what you're doing. What's nice, however, is if you really have no idea what you're doing you won't be made to feel like an idiot. I have done a lot of DIY projects, and sometimes they turn out and sometimes they don't- but I never feel like I can't ask questions here. Also, their hours are great. Also, they give away wooden cable spools once they're empty, for anyone who is crafty. And, also, their prices for stuff like packing boxes and shipping tape are lower than even Meijer's prices. Great store, friendly staff. As an edit, I'm really uncertain why the guy below me is going on a racist rant, but I assure you... I am a five foot tall white girl and I have never felt like the Muskegon Home Depot staff have treated me with anything except respect. Their employees are indeed mostly black, but I'm not really certain why that would ever matter. They can all show you where the paint and wood and weird hanging hardware is, regardless of race.
Came to the store today with "warranty issue, a "Ridgid" Power tool with a "Lifetime" warranty. The checkout person contacted hardware , a representative then informed me that my Ridgid tool had a "send it in" warranty ,a 4 to 6 week wait. My only other option was to take it to "Grand Rapids" for warranty service , or BUY ANOTHER ONE. I needed the tool so this trip was my only option. I was told by another "associate" that the "warranty center" was on Alpine and the I96 exchange. I asked "would they be open? Yes they would be open I was told.I then went to see if the store had in stock the broken tool, yes but it would cost me $119.00 cash, nice warranty. After arriving in Grand Rapids a call to the Alpine "Home Depot" I was informed that the "warranty center" was not there but on West River Drive, another 8 miles, and oh they would NOT be OPEN.I have now driven 100 miles and wasted fuel and time for nothing

I hired Home Depot to install flooring in my dinning room and living room. To say the least it was a disaster. The woman who measured my flooring made an error which lead to me being kicked out of my own house for two weeks. Then while trying to resolve the issue, I found that the employees were not mentally equipped to deal with solving my problem. The higher I got up the chain of associates to managers the worse it got. The employees lied to the managers to hide their lack of general knowledge and short comings. I beg everyone that may stumble upon this review to please go a few blocks down the road, and shop at Lowe's. Never again, will I go to Home Depot.

Went to store to buy 5 boxes of subway tile. We already had 3 boxes from Menards. Menards told us they would not have more for about two weeks and gave us the date expected. Decided to drive 30 miles to Home Depot. Only found a partial box on the shelf. Spoke to saleswoman who told us she did not know when more would be coming in. She said they are on automatic order and would be ordered when the supply was down. I asked how far down the supply needed to be in order for more to get on the shelf. She was vague about that. I asked another employee how I could speak to the store manager. He called the manager for me. The manager told me that subway tile was "on the way out" of popularity and they wouldn't be stocking it anymore. They had a different brand on the shelf however, but not the brand I already had. He offered to check other stores and then said that no one had any. After I returned home I went online to check availability and found out that another store 50 miles from us had seven boxes. So I called the Ludington Store. But the man on the phone said he had to look for them. He called me back and said he found them way up on a top shelf on a pallet. I feel that I was given the run around by the people at the Cadillac store.
I ordered some doors with incorrect dimensions and they worked with me on it I am very happy with the service.

My mother in law went in to buy some stain and finish for her wood floor, the guy in the paint department was rude and told her he didn't know the difference between the two brands she was asking about and that she just needed to read the can to figure it out. She went to ask him another question and he ignored her and started walking toward another customer. We went to find someone else to help us and were told there is someone working in the paint department. I personally will never buy anything from this home depot again as this is not the first time that we have been ignored. If you want to work in a customer service industry, do you think you should have some manners

I had the most horrible experience ever buy a shed i needed an 8 x 10 so i call the store they tell me the have an 8 x 10 on sale metal shed so we were excited went to get it at the store it was an 10 x 8 which we didnt want but we had to no choice but to get it. they have terrible customer service i called the night before we were coming talk to store manager he said he would have everything ready and didnt when we got there then my husband said he talk to a store manager name anna and she said they had no shed on sale got the run around then i call and talk to her about everything and she tells me she never talk to my husband.... Spend a grand and crap for service...

Another store called to check to see if they had something in stock, they said no, we were headed this direction anyways, they had it for $3 more than the other store, we tried for a price check and they sent us to Customer Service desk, I thought the cashiers are empowered to do discounts and price matches? Highly disappointed, after waiting for 10 minutes the cashier called us over and said she would do it. They were price matching the exact same item they have at another Home Depot cheaper, 100% apples to apples.
Roberto exceeded our expectations. He was very kind and helpful. He was the best hd associate we have ever dealt with. Mark from the paint department was extremely nice and very sociable. Kristy at checkout was very personable and warming. Overall we had the best experience we have ever had at home depot.
Online inventory matches store inventory. No 4G access in the store, the store WiFi is extremely slow. Use the store internet site to locate the exact bin your item is in and you will be out of there in no time. I don't generally have to wait in line.

The South Canton store is always well stocked with whatever I need to purchase. I prefer this store to one closer to my home for this reason. Also, the staff are always willing to help me even if not their department.
Today we lost one of our family, Logan, a cat that had been with us for 13 years. We chose to bury him, as such I came to your South Canton store to pick out a stone for his grave. It is out of season and the doors were closed to your lawn and garden patio, an associate not only went out with me in the heavy snow but helped me pick out the right one. Once back in the store this same associate knowing what the stone would be for, spoke with his manager and caught up with me at the cashiers. Your store generously donated the stone to my family at no cost. The amount of gratitude we have towards your location and employees can not be expressed.

When it comes to cutting and threading pipe, you're better off doing it yourself. These people are literally incompetent at operating their own machinery. I had two sets of piping that they cut for me. The first batch was improperly threaded so I had to drive way to the other side of town to have it rethreaded at another HD location. That one did an amazing job, no issues whatsoever. On closer inspection there was one pipe that came from the first batch that needed to be rethreaded, but I had already gone to the further location. I figured I would just take this last one back to the original store I got it cut at (in Rivertown) and explain the threading issue to them and have them rethread it. They said "sure!" and tried, but I swear to you they actually made the thread job worse! Now I'm going to drive all the way across town again to get a job done right that should have happened on the first try! Avoid this HD location like the PLAGUE. They are fools when it comes to pipework apparently and can't seem to get the job done right, period. Power of the Home Depot my arse.

We purchased a 5 gallon bucket of paint here. Unfortunately it didn't look like we expected one we got it on the walls. The paint was a prefect match to the one we selected so it was our fault for not taking a sample. They were good to us and gave us half of for a new bucket.. Awesome since from their end they made our paint perfect. We were deciding between 2 other colors and my wife decided on one and wanted to get it and that's it. I didn't let her and we went home with a sample of both which they gave us free as well. The first one that my wife chose, she decided she didn't like. The second sample, which was recommended by the lady at the counter, looked much better and we ended up going with that one. Thanks!
Hard to get help with the blind cutting. They have one person working the special orders and blind cutting so it could be 'an hour or more.' WTF. How bout you take two minutes and cut my blinds while they make a desition with their order instead or ignoring your other tasks!
The Returns Person and Manager has issues with people returning items with out Receipt i tried return a Garbage Disposal that was only a month old they said it had rust in the middle of it be used you would think it would.. they would not return it. HD is going down hill fast back in the day i would have no issues.. I think its time to goto Lowes less issues there...
The paint department at this particular location is very helpful to detail and customer service. As a Painting Contractor I go out of my way to come to this location to order my paint and supplies even when there is a closer Home Depot to the job site.
These representatives working at the store, are absolutely fantastic. They all went out of their way to help. I'm going to say we had four people help us with our situation and everytime a representative passed by us, they asked if we needed any help. I would really recommend coming to this Home Depot especially if you were moving or looking for something very specific because they will be very helpful. 10 out of 10 rating for the owner hiring this fantastic staff.
I can not stand this HD. I have boycotted them for years. Rude and immature folks working here. Store is laid out horribly. I tried placing a phone order and they wouldn't let me. I tried to get my Dremel replaced (bought it here) and they wouldn't. The workers discuss me. Lowes will always be #1. I only shop HD if it's the cheapest and every damn time it's a bad experience.

To begin with, before I arrived at the door, I was pleasantly greeted by an associate. Inside of the store, I was greeted and assisted by associates Walt and Ryan; they seemed to have appeared just at the site of my confusion of my selections. I was also introduced to Dave, the store manager, who helped me with a time consuming concern. What a GRRREAT TEAM.
I have been a customer of Home Depot for 20 years, I must say, this was THE BEST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE I have ever had in a Home Depot.

Three experiences. Purchased a dish washer that has never worked properly, dishes do not come clean. Purchased a new front door for $2,000 and after five years, the door has discolored and looks really bad. Had three basement windows replaced. I explained to the salesman that I wanted as much glass area as possible. The windows were installed and the inside trim blocks about 1/3 of the glass area - very disappointed.

Always have what you need or will order it, great for DIY projects. However, the contractors they had install my water heater and pump for my washing machine were HORRIBLE!!! Be Careful!! I would have been better off buying and having it installed by a local, small business heating and cooling company. It would have been cheaper as well! I found out after the fact! 😟 The guy that came to install both had no idea what kind of pump it was, he took it apart!!! He thought it was a sump pump!!! 😤 When my husband told him what kind of pump it was, not to take it apart, it leaked from the top where he took it apart. The pipeline he installed wound up bursting and flooded my laundry room. When my husband showed him the pictures he said it wasn't his problem, that it was a manufacturer defect 😖 ( NO!!! He took it apart!!!). He had to go to Home Depot THREE TIMES to get parts to install the pump and water heater!!! You would have thought he should have had everything he needed.... It took over two weeks before he fixed and installed everything properly!!
Next time, (there won't be a NEXT TIME!!). Even without my husband I could have done a better job! 😧
HD is usually good. But the employees are oblivious here. Rude, lazy and insulting. No one is ever around to help. I had to ask a cashier a question and then she told me what I wanted didn't exist (even though it does) and that she essentially knew better because she has been a cashier 8.5 years.
The people at the paint desk were super helpful. My wife and I learned so much about painting we feel like we are pros. The rental shop was really nice and all the prices are fair.

Like most home depot stores they do an alright job. I was however unable to find an air filter to fit my forced air system instead of offering to order it the employee told me to try several other stores in the area.
DO NOT USE FOR CARPET
Do NOT go through this Home Depot to get carpet installed. They subcontract Andersons Instillation out of Grayling and I was very displeased with them. I missed 1.5 hours of work just waiting for them to get there, when I called to ask where they were they were just leaving the shop which is an hour away from our house. They have very poor communication between the shop and the installers as well. Then it took them three days to get two rooms installed.
We purchased a new refridgerator and stove and ask to have them delivered. On the promised date the refridgerator showed up....without the stove. We had an installer, who was standing by to hook up the stove (propane), without anything to hook up. We had to wait another week for the stove, and then call another installer to hook it up.. Seems that we didn't learn our lesson because some time later we purchased a storm door and made arraingements to have it installed. We got screwed around inside the store while trying to purchase the door and ended up having to take the door out of the bin by ourselves and then locate a flatbed to put it on. The workers were NO help and wouldn't even check us out for the purchase because they were "too busy". We took the door to customer service to set up an installation date and they spent most of their time bitching about the workers in the door department not doing their jobs. We transported the door home and waited for the installer to call us. Still no luck so we called them back. They eventually sent out someone to measure the door and set up a time to install it. A week went by and we heard nothing. We called them again and they said they didn't send the installer because we didn't pay up front for the installation. This was after we had been told that the money was due after the door was installed. Two days passed and we were finally contacted again. This time they said that the door was 1/8 inch off and that we needed a special made door. Nothing but crap from these people. Stay away from them

The best customer service every time. And there are plenty of stores that close early for Christmas parties. So that's a stupid review. If you actually had a problem then you can put that down. They only do that once a year and its always around the same time. The employees are always friendly and knowledgeable. I've never had an issue. even if they don't sell something they tell me where and make sure its there before they send me out. This is the only Home Depot I'll shop at.
Aside from a couple of friendly and helpful people at the end of my shopping experience, I was very frustrated that I could not find employees to help me or the people who I did talk to were not helpful at all.

I had a great experience, not only with the store but also with the knowledgeable staff( especially in the out-doors section). The gentleman in the out-door department not only helped me pick out a great deal of lawn equipment, but they also gave me a bunch of preventative maintenance tips as well. About 3 months after I had purchased the equipment, I ran into a problem with a factory defect, Jeff from the tool rental/tech department not only helped me fix the problem, but he actually allowed me to exchange the model even though it was out of in-store warranty. I had went to 3 other stores before I went back because they were closer, the experience and customer service was absolutely terrible! They were not willing to help me with my problem or work something out with the issue that I was having with the equipment, needless to say I will not be giving any of those stores my business even though they are closer. I would recommend this store to anyone the customer service, reliability and willingness to go the distance just to keep my business is amazing. I give them a 10 out of 10 for everything they have done for me and my family! I will be giving this location my business for now on, even if I have to go the extra 10 miles to get there. Thanks again Out-door staff as well as Jeff in the Tool Rental/Tech department you guys have been a great help.
Employees are very pleasant and willing to help. Recommendation for an ant problem resolved my home issue by killing the entire colony, as he said. Just recently moved to area and found it easy to get to the store and park. The store was neat and clean.
Extremenly dissapointed in store (#2502) large appliance staff and Manager on Duty. Very sad to see that Home Depot was "bested" or "out performed" by Lowes.
Steer clear of buying appliances from this store or Home Depot in general - takes at least 7 days plus all the after sales hassle. Sadly a pervasive culture of complacency, "we could really give a sh _ t about you as a customer of our small, older Home Depot Store" exists within store #2502.
My specific complaints below relate to a Maytag Washer ordered on Dec "xx" and delivered on Dec "xx" with a cracked drum. I called the store that night for resolution. I went to the store on Dec "xx" for in person resolution. Instead of being provided outstanding service the following issues took place:
1) Manager on Duty lied to my wife regarding details of the order (ie delivery company pickup of old washer), 2) did not return a call the night before as promised, 3) tells my wife on the phone/has the audacity to say, "good for you" regarding customer service she had previously given home depot customers as an employee in the past, 4) kept me waiting in the store for 1.5 hours without more efficently offering something of better value or solving my problem with in a day or two (loaner was not an option), 5) Unwilling to extend a 3yr warranty on a floor model or at least talk to the store manager about it, 6) staff at store #2502 does not know when he will be in next, 7) told by staff that the store manager does not have voice mail & they were unwilling to leave a message for him, 8) appliance staff far more willing to sell me something cheaper and basically said if I can't wait a week then I can get my money back and go shopping for a new washer at Best Buy or Wal-Mart.
This could all have been avoided if MOD would have said, "Sir - I can mark down the floor model for you, have it delivered tomorrow or Monday - but I need to talk to the store manager about the extended warranty. Could I call you first thing tomorrow morning?"

I have purchased carpeting 2 times through this store, and both times the entire process was a disaster.
The first time, everything was paid for in full, and I was told the installer would contact me to schedule the install. After 2 weeks, I had to call the store and was told they were waiting for the carpet to be sent to the installer from the warehouse because it was "special order" (lies, it's the carpet that is on the roll in the store). I waited a few more days and called again and was told to call the installer, who then told me that they had received the carpet from the warehouse the previous week and the store had told them NOT to install it, but to send it back to them. I spent hours on the phone with the store, being put on hold, transferred between departments, and hung up on repeatedly, before I finally had the issue resolved (nearly a month after payment.)
This time was no better. I had the measure done and was told i would receive a call within 24 hours with a price for the carpet and install. After 4 days, I hadn't heard anything and had to call them to get the quote. I got everything straightened out with that and told the measure company that I would have to go into the store later that day to pay for the install, as I was paying in cash. I left work and went to the store but nobody seemed to know how to take the payment. At one point, I had 4 different employees all standing around me trying to figure it out. After about 20 minutes, they decided they needed to call the measure company to have them resend the quote which would take at least another 30 minutes. At this point, I told them I needed to be somewhere in 10 minutes and couldn't wait any longer, but I would come back in the following day to make the payment after they got everything straightened out, but I really needed the install done as soon as possible, so could they please make a note in the account saying that.
Later that night I received a voicemail from a very friendly employee named Kristen that said she was sorry for the trouble and would make a note to credit my account $47 to cover the remaining install charges, and that I could just go to the service desk to make the payment. When I went to the service desk the next day, the employee didn't know how to pull up my quote again. When he was finally able to, there was no $47 credit for the install. I had to explain it to him several different times and play the voicemail for him to understand what needed to be done. When that was finally taken care of, I went to make the payment and realized i was charged sales tax again (sales tax was already included in the quote of $752.35 from the measure company, and now Home Depot had taxed 6% of the total price of $752.35). I tried explaining this to him, but he didnt understand what I was saying. I ended up just paying the double tax because I had already been standing there for almost an hour and was beyond frustrated. I was told that since the account was paid in full, I would receive a call from the installer to schedule the appointment.
As of this morning, I hadn't heard anything, so I called the store to try and schedule it myself. I spoke to someone named Brandy and was told that my carpet was special order (again, even though once again, its the carpet on the roll in the store) and that its not expected to arrive for another 2 weeks and they cant schedule anything until then. Nobody had ever mentioned anything previously about this carpet being special ordered, even when I specifically told them that I needed it installed as soon as possible. I asked her if I could at least schedule the install for a date after it comes in to ensure that they don't book up and I was told no they can't do that.
I have never been so frustrated dealing with a company before. Aside from a small credit, they don't seem to be willing to do anything to resolve an issue a customer is having. This will be the absolute last time that I ever deal with the store in Dundalk, and honestly, I'm not even sure I will want to go back to a Home Depot at all again.
I wish I could give them "0 stars". This delivery company Home Depot uses, Nonstop Delivery, is a disaster and I do not understand why Home Depot continues to use them as a vendor, particularly in light of all the negative customer reviews on Google, Yelp and the Better Business Bureau. I have been given the run around about a delivery they have yet to make for over a week. The kicker is that the item has been sitting in a two different warehouses that are less than 30 miles from my home for almost two weeks. Not to mention that they moved it from the warehouse that was closest to me to one farther away. I echo what most of the other reviewer had said about encounters with their customer service line, there is always a long wait when you call, the representatives promise someone will call you that day or the next with a delivery date and time and it never happens. This is dishonest. On Friday, Nonstop Delivery's representative, Imelda, finally answered my call and I gave her my tracking number, she asked if she could put me on a "brief hold"...five minutes later my call rang back to someone else's voicemail.
While Home Depot's customer services representatives are usually better trained, except Jamie, and have handle my concerns better than Nonstop Delivery, their attempts to resolve this issue have not yielded any results. Further, their attempts to make this right by offering me 10% off a future purchase is presumptuous and disingenuous. It seems strange that Home Depot has so little clout or leverage over a vendor who is putting it's customers through such a hellish ordeal.
Home Depot is over priced, the employees are lazy and hard to find if you need any help locating merchandise, and they leave register lights on, but walk away from their cash register, then when you ask if the lane is open the employee becomes rude and disrespectful by rolling their eyes and saying, "You see the light is on, yeah." like it is a problem for them to do their job. They take your money and be silent with no greeting nor do they say thank you or have a nice day after you have purchased your items. Very poor customer service in my opinion. They could certainly afford to make their prices more competitive as well since almost any item in there you can find much cheaper at stores such as Walmart, Ollies, Sam's Club, Big Lots, Etc. Being said, Home Depot is the place you go only when you can not find the item you're looking for some where else cheaper.
Good Home Depot, their paint station is really nice! I would have to stay the customer service was a little off seeing as how the employees were discussion how horrible of a day it was and they rather not be at work. Probably not the best conversation to have while a couple of feet away from your customers.

Brought my 3 month puppy in with me while I shopped for new draw pulls and knobs for kitchen cabinets. Every employee in the store was so friendly and helpful. It is nice to take the puppy to a place where they appreciate the process of raising a well behaved dog. We will be back, often.

I am usually at HD about once/week. Not sure what has happened but over the last year the level of service has drastically decreased, the prices have gone up, and the workers, if you can find one, are not very helpful/knowledgeable and quick to run away. For example, I went in to buy a $2,000 mower and after 10 minutes of looking for someone to help, I went to the service desk, who called THREE different managers, all “too busy” and finally the (4th) manager that came to assist, after 20 minutes mind you, had ZERO knowledge of lawn mowers. To his credit, he did offer to read the manual for me ... WOW!.
Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Always a store rep nearby (unless you need wood cut!). I'm here at least once a week and prefer it over Lowe's.

I really don't like going to Home Depot because it's so hard to find what in looking for. Whenever I ask an associate, they usually just point me in a general direction. However, upon my last visit, an associate named Will didn't know where to find the item I was looking for. So he went an asked another associate, so pointed is in a general direction. Will went and looked down one Lane and I went down another. He stayed until I found it. I appreciated it an thanked him. They should have him training the test of the staff.
I would never ever in my life shop here customer service is horrible they can deny returns even if you have a receipt never in a million years I have heard of this all I have to say they don't treat you like this in the suburbs only in Detroit💯💯💯
The staff is always friendly and ready to point me in the right direction to find merchandise. I went today looking for an ecobee3 thermostat. I didn't see it. The employee was willing to scan the boxes for me to find it. Good job to him. I'm only giving 4 stars because they didn't have even though the website said they did.

Worst Home Depot location I have ever been to. First employee i asked for help was texting on his cell phone and told me he didnt know which aisles the 2 things i went there to purchase was. The second employee was kind enough to try and get me connected with an employee who may know. The third employee took me to the wrong aisle and then told me she doesn't know where to look. I squashed that purchase and figured i would look at the Quarter Round i was hoping to purchase. A female employee assisted me to the proper aisle then asked if i wanted help. I said please and as she was about to assist me, she was interrupted by another customer and began assisting them and walked away. I left. It was my only day off this week and was hoping to finish a couple projects.
Slow. Unstocked. Just bad. It's so close to my rentals it's unavoidable i end up there. Everytime I go there I consider herion to make the pain go away.

cindy & carol are the best home depot associates out there, i say this because they are the two associates that always stick out from all the departments in allen park, dearborn, and taylor home depots... They are very knowledgeable of all the tools they are renting, very humble, and willing to give best guidance as to anything that has to do with tools you are trying to rent or fix... for example, one time, i brought my clogged airless sprayer and Carol did what was needed to be done to where the sprayer got fixed, I was really relieved since my sprayer was an expensive one.... Cindy on the other hand, brought to me a tool that other associates in allen park home depot and dearborn home depot tool rental departments couldn't find... but since she knows all the tools available she found it, that helped me alot since i saved a lot of time in my project... thanks to those two associates and i believe that home depot should make sure all other employees have them as role modles

This chain is a pet friendly store. So is Lowes. The big difference is that unlike it's competitor it doesn't allow pets inside due to managers request. It's obscene! Go lowes all the way, they stick to their company policy !
The associates Seth,Sarah and Corey helped us several months ago with storage totes and they went over and above sales service! I have worked retail and they definitely all deserve 5 stars for awesome customer service!
We went there today out of the 30 people or more working, 2 asked us if we needed help. 1 was an older gentleman who always ALWAYS asks every time we stop in if we need help & gladly shows us the way...the other man was a blind gentleman who was very happy and helpful & funny :) at one point we stood by the check outs looking at discounted shelving units looking around for help because several things were not priced. i tried to drop a hint at one worker to come over & he kept walking by. probably 10 people walked past us while we rubber necked to make it obvious we needed help. service here sucks despite the 2 great men who actually did help us. goodness!
Excellent place million times better than menards
I had just left this location this afternoon/evening. I came again (1 week time frame) helping my parents look for white vanity 24" to be exact. I walked into the store was greeted nicely by the lady in the returns checkout counter. I walked over to the bathroom aisle 2 and quickly realized I needed a sales persons support. I came across a store Manager, which I wasn't aware of at the time, and asked him if he would please assist me with a question about an item. He quickly asked me to wait, while he finished up a conversation and radio a another person. As soon as I uttered the word bathroom, he told me that he will get someone to help me. I waited 15 minutes to be greeted by no one. I saw another sales representative walking and tried to stop her to ask for help and she quickly told me that will page someone to come to the aisle. Another 15 more minutes goes by and I walk over to the lady that had greeted me and taken my return and asked her to please page someone, because I had been waiting for 30 minutes and no one has yet to come by to aisle 2. Twenty minutes go by and I become irritated that no one and repeat no one, even the employees that I saw strolling the aisles freely, never once glanced over to support a customer. I approached the return desk and ask to speak to a manager, due to the nature of the service. The manager Edwin, whom I asked for help comes by and states "no one has come to this aisle yet!" In disbelief Edwin pulls out a paper form his pocket and informs me that he guy that works in the Bathroom section is away on lunch. In dismay I asked, " does he not have coverage?" Did you not know this information 30 minutes ago when I asked you for help?" Not surprised he was not able to help with my order and didn't seem interested enough to call another store to help see if they would have the item or not. While talking to my dad on the side, I suggested going to Quincy. Whether hesitation Edwin the store manager agreed that we should go there because they carry more items than they did.
This same circle of events occurred the week before. I honestly feel this Home Depot needs to have their employees go through training on costumer service. It is really lacking. The service at Quincy on Exit 9 is stupendous. No one is juggling you around and the atmosphere makes you value the amount and money you are investing into the company.
My family and I will not be going to home depot in Dorchester in future.
I generally don't like Home Depots as much as smaller hardware stores, but this one was particularly bad. My biggest complaint was that there were no shopping carts to be found. I asked a store employee about this, they glanced around, and agreed that there were no shopping carts (but didn't offer to do anything about it). Eventually, another employee emptied a cart they were using for storage so I could use it. Other than that, this was a typical Home Depot//

Have never had anything but trouble from the Home Depot in South Boston when ordering over the phone or online for deliveries to my place of business. It never fails.. EVERY time I order it never comes on the day they say it will and I end up having to call numerous times and get handed off from person to person to find out the status of my order and when I do call they aren't professional half the time they are having inappropriate conversations with other people around them and completely ignoring me or people are laughing and making jokes in the background distracting the person I'm speaking with.
I stopped ordering from them and went to a less convenient vendor for a while and called them for an order when I was in a bind and things still haven't changed.
I always notify them and pay for freight delivery and they never show up with a hand truck or anything and I end up having to lug it all up to my second floor warehouse myself...
I just got off the phone with them a minute ago about an order I was supposed to receive 2 days ago and they tell me "Oh its being loaded up now" even though that's what they have told me the last 2 days in a row.

Employee accused me of stealing. Actually stopped me and said that he saw me put something into my pocket. I asked which one and when I showed him my cell phone he just walked off. If I can't come into a home depot to buy a tool without getting harassed I guess I will find somewhere else.
The go-to place for things you might need to fix up the house or for a set of tools if you are just a normal person and not a contractor. You can use their app to make sure they have what you want before you actually go and it will even tell you where in the store to find it, can get keys made here too.

Miracle workers in this store went out of their way to have a Christmas tree delivered to a bereaved family who are unable to get one themselves. Absolutely fantastic thing to do during the holiday season. I will only shop at Home Depot for the rest of my life, never their competitors. Thank you so much.

Employee in lawn & garden kept trying to send me to the Walmart across the street, telling me he used to manage it and they would have everything I needed (except I had just been there and they didn't have anything I needed). I asked him about ball hitches and he said they (Home Depot) didn't sell them. Knew he was lying so I asked another employee and she directed me to the proper aisle. Won't be coming back to this store again, ever.
It's a giant warehouse of home improvement supplies, so even with a map of the place, finding the exact thing (a screw for instance) you need requires help. Luckily this place is full to brim of staff, unlike Loews.

I have never experienced such incompetent customer service, both in person and over the phone, as I have at this Home Depot location. Unfortunately, I ordered over $16,000 in windows/doors from it, so I am stuck dealing with its staff for the time being. I should have known from my initial interactions with the customer service representatives that the experience would be horrible - but I failed to trust my instincts. A few thoughts: (1) Employees at the store rarely answer the telephone, and when I have attempted to contact a particular department (in this case, millwork/windows/doors), I am frequently left on hold indefinitely and forced to hang up. In fact, this morning I was forced to call the corporate office (who in turn contacted the store) to find out the status of my order. (2) There is little follow-up. I ordered windows and doors almost 6 weeks ago (the lead time was 4-6 weeks). After my partner and I contacted Home Depot several times, we were assured that we would receive a call when our windows were being delivered so we could arrange for appropriate delivery. We never received a call, so I called this morning (to the store, and then to corporate when I couldn't get through) only to find that the order had been completed days ago. As a result, construction has been delayed and we are forced to deal with more inclement weather without windows/doors. (3) The ordering process was painful - so painful, that I attempted to switch orders to another store, but was prevented from doing so by the employees who could not keep track of the then current work order (and transfer it). Every time I visited the store, I was unsure of which service representative I would be "welcomed" by. On several occasions, we dealt with new representatives who were not familiar with our order. I will be shocked if the order is complete and/or correct, and despite the fact that we have a lot more to buy for the house, I can assure management that I will not be doing it at this location (and probably not Home Depot at all).
I gave them two and not one star because I only dealt with them on the phone and I am aware that that makes me unable to really give a fair review. I'm looking for a soda blaster, to be fair its not a very commonly used tool so I understood it was going to be rough, but all the other hardware stores I called we're friendly and apologetic that they wouldn't be able to help me. I finally gave up on calling stores near me and looked up home depot's number. I called the one in parkville and the rude woman who answered said they didn't carry them. I asked if she knew anyone who might and she said the Towson store (by which I assume she meant the Timonium store.) I asked if she had their number. She sighed and gave me a number then stopped me and gave me a second one. The second one patched me through to the cellphone inbox of a woman claiming to be named elaine. I tried the first one she gave me which was non-working. I looked up the number online and it was entirely different from both. I called the timonium store and the man who answered there had no idea what I was talking about nor could he seem to understand me. He passed the phone off to another man who could understand me but had no idea what a soda blaster was. I explained to him that it was like a sand blaster but used baking soda instead of sand. He assured me they did not carry such a thing and hung up. I was less than pleased

I have always been satisfied with this store but when the store manager, Rich, helped me address a purchasing concern followed by a week later by a very helpful salesperson in tools, this store went from very good to excellent!

I hate this Home Depot but it's a man Mr. Carlos he's normally in the pant department, he's the most helpful person ever. It doesn't matter what you need help with he will take his time and try to help you figure out the cheaper yet best way to go about your project. This man has picked out pants for my sons room. Came up with a alternative way for me to hang my dividers. I love Mr. Carlos!!! Still hate this Home Depot though
This store has problems with keeping track of their inventory. In other words, it's not at all organized. I waited 30 minutes while three staff members tried to find a product that they had a quantity 8 of. It was never found. The general manager told me "it's hard for us to keep track of $7 million worth of inventory." Wow.
I see a lot of negative reviews about this Home Depot & I know can't speak on behalf of others, but my experience here was actually great. It was surprisingly organized for the middle of the day and I had the best customer service from a young guy named Devon. If every day is the way it was the day I went, I'd recommend this store to anyone.
Great store. This is probably one of the nicest Home Depots we have been in. It is super clean, not super busy and the staff is very helpful. I'm not sure where all these bad reviews are coming from, we have never had a problem here!
It's your standard home depot. The parking lot here is very big and there's plenty of room. There's no battles for spots here. The staff are friendly, though not always knowledgeable.
I've been in this store a few times and always had a positive experience. Perhaps understaffed during low volume times, but generally helpful and knowledgeable folks. Am giving five stars because of a recent interaction with a customer sales associate via phone, who went above and beyond in confirming that the store did not have the exact class of item I needed, and was very friendly.

The biggest problem with this super is that no one stocks their shelves. If you look carefully you may find what you're looking for in a box 4 feet above the shelves. That's if they have it. Half the time they don't.

This is an OK Home Depot. It can have helpful staff at times, but not always, and you can finds things her that are way cheaper at other stores. They charged 60 bucks for a 6.5 foot Christmas tree when i could get the EXACT same tree at Walmart for 35 bucks! Good place for tools but really not much else. There is a Loews down the street that is better.
Paid $30 for their contractor to come measure for a new door. Stood us up for appointments (where we took off to wait at home) 2xs. Came in for a refund and staff was totally rude, one woman actually stood there and complained she needed a break because "she was hungry". No we are sorry, no thank you, no nothing!

Worked there before, and now going there no one will help me. Any time I try to ask for help no one comes. In the isle for tile for 20 minutes waiting for someone after they paged them TWICE. No one came so I left. Another time, I rented a sander from the guy who is in charge of the who shindig, he rented me half of the machine. That was over 150 lb, and didnt help me take it out. The beast stood there on his phone talking crap with his friends. Not only did he waste over $200 by selling me something that was never gonna work, he didnt help me carry the damn thing. A huge bulky machine. And he was the manager who should know better. So i hope they fired him and got some new staff. Every time I bought something there in the last two years, it had problems and every person in the store made me feel like its my fault and its not their problem to deal with at all.

I went to buy a washing machine, which they had many to choose from. Store associates were all around me and no one offered to help. When I narrowed my selection down to the ones that I might possibly buy, I asked an associate about them. None of the washers I wanted were in stock, therefore I could not buy one that day. Went down the road to Sears and purchased a washer at a good price the same day.
We just purchased a new refrigerator from Rickey in the appliance department. Excellent service from him and from the delivery. We were not happywith the first one they installed so they brought us a second one and took the first one back. Outstanding is the only word I have to explain my experience with them.
My experience with your Little Rock store #1401 is one I will never forget. It was one of the best examples of horrible customer service. We purchased kitchen cabinets on 07/20/2015 and just finished the project on 10/23/2015. It took 3 months just to install an oven cabinet, pantry cabinet and utility cabinet. We began the process by ordering the cabinets with a male worker in the kitchen cabinet area who was friendly and patient. The cabinets were delivered nearly a month later only to have Blue Truck delivery damage one of the cabinets by dropping it during delivery. After a week of no contact from Home Depot, my wife called 3 different times and left a voicemail with your store requesting a call back regarding installation. I took off work early to go up to the store to speak with a manager. He said he was not aware of the situation and we walked back to the kitchen cabinet area. A female worker informed me that it was our responsibility to contact the installer. I informed her that during our ordering process this information was never disclosed and that my wife and I had never been told the installers name. Your Home Depot associate also proceeded to tell me that my wife never left a voicemail for her because she is the one who checks the voicemail and there was never one left. I proceeded to tell your associate that I personally saw and her my wife leave the voicemail for her department. She was very rude and highly unprofessional. I informed the store manager and this associate during my visit that I believed Blue Truck delivery damaged one of my cabinets. I left the store unhappy and proceeded to contact the installer, Ken. Ken arrived at my home two weeks later to begin the install. I took a day off work, so that someone was present per Ken's request. The kitchen demo began and two hours later Ken approached me stating the oven cabinet was indeed damaged. He stated that he could not proceed since that is the first cabinet that needed to be installed. He called it a day and I went to your store to speak with the kitchen cabinet department. The only worker present was the same female associate who was rude to me just 2 weeks prior. I proceeded to tell her that during the installation they discovered that my cabinet was damaged. She immediately asked me, "Did you tell us it was damaged during delivery? Who did you speak with?". I informed her that she was the associate that I told two weeks earlier. She asked how much of my cabinets had already been torn out. I told her that my wall oven was out of use until she could get the new cabinet shipped. She asked a few more questions to see if I had a stove top or sink. I informed her that I did have those items only to have her reply with "Well good, because I was going to feel bad if you didn't have those items." This was a poor choice of words to use when someone is already had a bad customer service experience with the store and especially her. This came across as if she could have cared less about my situation. She then called her factory rep for that particular cabinet and they said they would put in a rush order. The cabinet shipped two weeks later. We finally got my cabinets installed 2 weeks ago. The install team was great, but I will NEVER do business again with Home Depot. I have never known of an organization to have ZERO follow up after the sale when an installation is involved. There was never follow up to make sure we received our cabinets. There was never follow up to make sure that I was able to get in touch with the install guy after complaining the first time. There was never follow up to make sure that I received my new cabinet after complaining the second time about the damaged cabinet. While Home Depot did not officially install the cabinet, their contractor is a representation of the store. The store is 7 miles from my home and I would frequent the store on a weekly basis. After spending several thousands of dollars on cabinets and receiving some of the worst customer service, I will drive 20-30 miles to Lowe's.
Staff here are always awesome about helping me choose between things, cutting wood for me, and helping me find things in the store. And their Christmas stuff is great!
Customer service has gone downhill at this location in the past year or so. Last time I was there, no fewer than 4 store associates sat right there in the building material section not 30 feet from me and watched me struggle loading drywall onto a cart. It comes two sheets taped together, and is quite heavy and awkward. After breaking one sheet and beating the edges up on two others, I managed to load it myself. Afterward an associate who approached randomly asked me if I needed any help, I told him about the other 4 associates who ignored me completely and he was helpful and apologetic.
More and more, don't expect the associates at this store to spot and react to the obvious.
On a positive note, the store does carry a good variety of any given item, and has some of the straightest lumber in town.
I have taken two different lawn mowers in to the tool rental area for service. They lost the first one and tried to tell me I turned in a hedge trimmer instead. After arguing with them for two days they finally said it was their mistake and replaced the lawn mower. I have now taken the replacement in for service. They stated a two week turn around for the repair. We are now on week three going on week four and they now say they MIGHT get to it next week but are really backed up. Do NOT take anything to this store for repair. Even their managers could care less about their crappy service.

Great store! Found a wonderful ceiling fan and lighting fixture that I had looked at online. Got on the Home Depot website and ordered it to be picked up at the store.
Its hard to get to from the interstate you can see it from the interstate but you have to drive around the back through a neighborhood if you come from the west. If you come from the east you need to take the exit before home depot because the offramp puts you 10 yards passed the entrance. Customer service sucks i went to ask an employee for help. They saw me aproaching them out of the corner of thier eye so they turned thier back to me and quickly walked away as if the shelf they wwre stocking is going to get up and walk away before they get done.
Need something....go to Lowes in Bryant where you get prompt customer service.

Horrible customer service experience. An associate was helping me find product when another customer comes up and the associate in the middle of helping me goes and starts helping another customer. I politely waited for a few minutes but he still remained helping this other customer. Then i go to the self check out with the item I felt might fit and the machine didn't give me a receipt. So I asked the cashier that was working the self check out for a receipt and after several minutes she said she couldn't give me one so she ended up calling 2 other associates. I was then took to the costumer service desk where it still took her going through screen after screen to get some type of receipt. A 10 minute trip turned into 30 minutes for 1 bulb. Then I call back to the store to speak to the manager about how poorly I was treated and got put on hold where i could hear everyone's conversation. So i hung up and called back in which I went through a department and asked to speak with the manager a guy who claimed to be the manager and said his name was Jamie, listened to my complaint but truly could not offer any true consultation. Which looking at the site the managers name is not Jamie. So enough said

Excellent service staff is friendly and helpful, helping me find a good and cheap power drill. Within minutes i had made a decision and went ahead and bought it and it works like a charm couldn't have been any better.
Purchased a lawn mower from a very congenial salesperson in the garden shop. Very helpful. Made me aware of new credit card membership discount to save $50. Took advantage of it and took lawn mower home to use. Using it for less than 20 minutes and engine block blew up. Most probably some faulty piston rings. Had gas and oil in it. Called store and told them what happened. They said bring it in and would refund or exchange the product. We exchanged the lawn mower. Transactions were quick and accurate. In spite of what happened I was content with the service I received. Was offered an extended warranty as well. Good service.
